The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and The Avengers: Secret Wars were just announced, so what does this mean for the MCU? I talk about Marvel's risky 2025 release strategy and why I have some hope that these films will be worth the wait.

Loki Season 2
Daredevil, Kang, Loki
All I hope for is that as this phases go along, they understand the feedback from fans and not critics on their knees to keeps their access passes. By that I mean when the big team ups happen, make it make sense, give scene time to the ones the majority care about, don't pander to the minority for brownie points, and make sure the solo movies will blend well with the overall story. Also, you can keep the humor but make more of it tongue in cheek. And let's not turn grounded characters into clown and smart ones into fools. Consistency is a key factor that helps not pull me out of a movie
I Am Groot is obviously the highlight of phase 4 and will connect everything nicely

And then he said "it's grootin' time" and everyone lost their shit
I think it only exists to keep the content hungry mcu fans occupied for 10 seconds

I assumed that Secret Wars would be based on the Hickman version, after seeing that image of phase 6 that put it side by side with Fantastic Four
Yeah, I assumed that too. I'm surprise he didn't mention that arc in the video.
Phase 4-6 is literally the Multiverse Saga. Idk how people could mistake Avengers Secret wars being based on the original crossover
They even mention incursions in the multiverse of madness. It's totally the second version of secret wars.
I agree it has to be that version, this time our dear Captain dropped the ball but in great part the problem lies with Marvel reusing the same names for their events just slightly less confusing than DC and their crises.
Hickman's version instantly came to mind. It was a big deal at the time, essentially semi-rebooting Marvel comics and getting rid of the Ultimate universe while bringing Miles Morales into the main universe. As many others have said, kinda surprised that didn't get mentioned. But I guess I'm only aware of that because I was actually reading Marvel in those years, if you asked me about big events these days, I'd be clueless (are the X-men still kinda evil?).
I'm honestly surprised you didn't mention the 2015 Secret Wars from Jonathan Hickman, seeing as it's the most recent, and WAY more beloved in comparison.
And way more likely to be the inspiration of the movie
He clearly doesn't know his shit. This video is embarrassingly bad.
BELOVED. EFF OUTTA HERE.
Thought the same thing. This is the Multiverse Saga and 2015 Secret Wars is all about the resetting of the Multiverse. But no mention 👎
Yeah I do not know why he’d base this on the first Secret Wars while also mentioning Dr Doom, the villain of the 2015 series. Strongly doubt getting the beyonder in this but I think it’s possibly they blend the two somehow
I don't think the Secret Wars film will be based on the 1984 comic. It will probably be based on the 2015 one, the one with the Incursions.
Hope they do God Emperor Doom right.
Imagine if they bring in a Thanos from another universe and we get to see doom grab his spine like in the comic
@@sethdanielw bring in the What If Ravenger Thanos
Incursions is the only obvious escalation from what happened in Infinity War so I think that's where the smart money is. Still think it should be called the Infinities Saga given thematically what's gonna probably happen but I accept Multiverse is snappier to the average audience member.
@@sethdanielw that would be the 5th time they kill Thanos lol
I think the whole "Tom Holland wants to be done with Spider-Man" is complete bs and Sony just told him to say that in interviews to try and squeeze as much hype and attention for No Way Home since people wouldnt know if it actually was his last Spider-Man movie.
After No Way Home premiered and post movie interviews came around he sounded way more enthusiatic and happy to be playing Spidey then ever, he also said multiple times he's only ever gonna stop when Marvel or Sony themselves pull the plug on him lol
Fax man
I personally think Tom Holland started to say he wanted a break over and over again because Faige and Amy Pascal immediately said they wanted another trilogy without any agreement being made, it feels like they were putting all the public pressure on Tom to sign the deal so he tried to fight back a little. Executives don't give a shit about the character just look at what happened with Garfield, I'm glad Holland seems to have a little more leverage.
Ed Zachary
I think they also want him to be a bit older for next trilogy
@@millsrome That's how I feel. He's not "done" with the character but needs time away. And probably wants to be known more than just Spiderman. Plus he's been in a lot of movies lately so slowing down is probably much needed
I wish they had called the movies “The Kang Dynasty” part 1 & 2, like they did in Infinity War, then after the first movie in the post credit scene show “The Avengers will return in… Avengers: Secret Wars”, I feel like that will get people more hyped.
Yo this woulda been nuts. Even better reveal woulda been “Avengers: Serpent Society”
I still think that Secret Wars is a red herring to throw people off the scent for how Kang Dynasty is set to end.
It feels like it would be nuts to have two massive story lines like this running at the same time to culminate in back-to-back Avengers movies like that.
To be fair, we aren't in a position to wish these things yet since we don't even know how they're connected yet.
The reason they didn't label them Kang Dynasty part 1 & 2 is simple. Kang will have won in the end of part 1....only to have Doom seize control in the final minute. Thus creating some form of Battle World. Enter Secret Wars. That's the gist anyways. The Kang Dynasty is over at the end of part 1
I have a feeling that marvel may push back the release of secret wars to summer 2026, I feel like having 2 avengers movies in the same year is a huge gamble. Like would endgame have had the massive hype and excitement if it released 6 months after infinity war? I’m not sure. Which makes me think marvel will push it back to build the hype.
Endgame would've definitely had the hype. The question is would Secret Wars
@@racool911 it probably would have, but I think that endgame did benefit from that year long gap in between it and infinity war. Plus with one of the big complaints of phase 4 being that people feel like each movie and tv show doesn’t have enough room to breathe before the next thing is out then putting 2 Avengers movies out in 6 months does feel like too much
I actually love that decision and trust me people will still be hype to watch secret wars after Kang dynasty
If Kang Dynasty does super well like the other avenger movies, then yeah I'm sure secret wars will end up getting pushed back
I think that they should push it back to summer 2026 just think about everyone talking about Lang dynasty for a year like infinity war and maybe leave a cliffhanger ending so then when they release secret wars peaplo don’t think it was rushed
There's the chance that they base the film off of 2015s secret wars comic, which was great in my opinion. My only concern about that one is that it relies heavily on the fantastic 4 being an established group and doom an established villain for it all to make sense. We don't have that in film yet
They don’t have to adapt everything about it, so I can see them centering the Fantastic Four but not Doctor Doom .
A chance? Phase 4-6 is called the multiverse saga. Theres a 100% chance its based on the 2015 event
@@hefoughtabear118 I wouldn't say 100%. They've already introduced celestials, the collector, and the grandmaster. They have more set up to do the original secret wars than they do for the 2015 version, but with the introduction of doom and the fantastic 4, I could definitely see the 2015 version happening.
There's not a "chance" of that. THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE DOING. Dude just fucked up his analysis.
@@sethdanielw it's 100%
My friends and I were talking about this and one of the things we believe is that Kang is NOT the overarching villain of this next Avengers saga, but someone who's a puppet with their strings being pulled by someone greater. The Kang Dynasty could just be Part I, whereas Secret Wars will introduce us to the actual villain who could be Doctor Doom or even Galactus. Maybe the ending of The Kang Dynasty could see Kang die at the hands of the Avengers, and as the film comes to an end we see Doom and his Doom Bots come face-to-face with the Avengers, leading to Secret Wars. Jonathan Majors is the only reason I somewhat enjoyed Loki.
I thought Loki was pretty good
It's funny, I think Loki is easily the best D+ miniseries since it 1) has good performances and chemistry between its cast, makes the whole thing feel very natural despite it being the most out there of all the miniseries so far, and 2) it actually does its own thing-building the universe with a cool, unique and memorable aesthetic-and does it very well. Compared to the others, only Wandavision and parts of Moon Knight and Ms Marvel even came close to Loki's level imo.
Dr Doom deserves some buildup, I don't want him randomly to show up near the end. I want books of doom movie
In comics Kang is nobody’s puppet get it right!!
Nah I feel dr doom will debut in wakanda forever, like the rumors say, will get a true introduction and set up as the villain in the fantastic four movie, and then will play a major role in kang dynasty…..which will show him obliterate kang towards the end, maybe betraying the avengers in the process, making him instantly a massive threat. Maybe he even gets the infinity gauntlet and and kills kang similar to how he kills thanos like nothing in the comics, to show how much of a threat he is…..which would set him up as the villain for secret wars.
I think its clear that they're adapting Jonathan Hickmans excellent Secret Wars event comic from 2015. Not the sub-par 1984 comic.
If you haven't read that or any of Johnathan Hickmans run i highly recommend that. It's probably the greatest avengers comic run of all time.
Phases 4-6 are called "the multivariate saga" so I agree with you. I think they will use this movie to move the x-men and fantastic 4 into the main universe. I just hope they don't re-use Jim from from the office because he sucks.
@@BrianJonopulos John Krasinski is a really good actor, tf you talking about?

I can see Secret Wars being a combination of 1984 and 2015 but leaning heavily into the latter in terms of plotting but subbing Doom for Kang.
Freshman year is what I’m most looking forward to. Absolutely. Love Spider-Man, the art looks insanely good.
I also wonder how long the MCU will go on for. Like, will it outlive us? It’s certainly outlived some of us. It’s just weird hearing that it’ll go on until 2026. I’ve grown up alongside it.
I expect another decade and we’ll likely get a big universal event that reboots the MCU. I feel like that would be the most interesting course of action

Dude, I love your channel, but I am so frustrated that you seemed entirely unaware of the later, arguably far superior Secret Wars story featuring God Doom and Battleworld.
That story carried SO much emotional content, especially compared to its rush-job predecessor, and should absolutely be the foundation for Phase 6's finale.
exactly.
Ironically if they tried to just do 2015 it would be a rush job. There are whole swathes of comic setup that there simply isn't any screen real estate for. I think Incursions have to be the next thing but like is there anywhere enough time now that they've already burned through 4 years with only 3 left to do even that key chunk of the storyline right? Honestly hoping the Kang Dynasty will be a take on Avengers Forever and the Secret Wars will be a combo of the smaller 1984 storyline with updated elements from the 2015. Cause I just don't think enough legwork has been done to even attempt the full 2015 story.
He probably has about as much true nerd cred as Kevin Feige, Patton Oswalt and Kevin Smith, i.e. little to none.
@@tutorialslave how so
Yeah this video was a joke
I'm still holding onto my theory that Kang being the big bad of the Multiverse Saga is a total red herring and that Doom will be in the background planning out his rise to God Emperor for Secret Wars
Honestly expected Kang to play a Loki role given that's where he first appeared. The big bad for the Phase but something much more sinister is out there. Of course given his relations to the Richards if the Maker (ie evil Reed Richards) is the twist reveal for Biggest Badderest, I'd be fine with that.
nah man, that would be a very bad idea.
I want Dr.Doom in the MCU, and once he takes his rightful place as everyone’s favorite villain, I want to see an Infamous Iron Man movie or miniseries.
Secret Wars will quite obviously not be based on "the original", but on the recent one dealing with the multiverse.
To your point on Tom Holland wanting out - I remember Chris Evans saying something like that after Age of Ultron, but ended up going through to Endgame. I think if the writing teams can offer a satisfying conclusion to the character, the actors are willing to take on those movies to end it properly.
I feel like you completely overlooked Secret Wars (2015), which
1) Was a far better comic then the original, and
2) Is probably what the movie will be loosely based on, since Dr Stange 2 already brought up Incursions and plays well into Marvel being able to do a soft reset after this multiverse saga.
Hopefully, Marvel Phase 5 doesn't make the same mistakes as Phase 4.
People keep milking
watch, phase 4 was from x amount of different universes and we're gonna see them collide in secret wars
What mistakes?
Oh it will. _It will!_
idk if phase 5 will be better or the same as phase 4 but phase 6 definatelly going to be amazing (bcs phase 1 and 2 not that good but phase 3 is really really good)
5:44 I'm pretty sure they will be adapting the 2015 secret wars by Johnathan Hickman which i personally think is one of the best marvel events in recent years so you don't have to worry on the source material being bad
If I just see Kangs drones, spotting the Avengers one time, going "Kang! Kang! Kang!" I will be pretty happy.
same.
I feel like Kang Dynasty is gonna be like Infinity War where it's gonna be a film about the villain in this case Kang. Looking back at Infinity War it's basically a Thanos film along with him having the most screen time out of everyone in the film and I feel like Kang Dynasty will be the same for Kang

It's weird that you didn't mention the 2015 Secret Wars run. THAT'S the one I think they're going to adapt, given introducing incursions in Doctor Strange 2 AND the fact that Doctor Doom is the main villain of that event.
I’m looking forward to the Thunderbolts. A team of anti-heroes and villains doing their own shit in an Avengers-style film is my jam. I just hope it isn’t too much like the Suicide Squad. Especially with the high possibility of more Zemo.
Good point. And honestly the idea of them including a guy who’s basically a neo-nazi sounds pretty cringe, unless we get to watch him die. Lol
I can see them going with characters like Yelena and Bucky, though they’re definitely anti-heroes and not anti-villains, like the Suicide Squad was.
Calling the Thunderbolts Marvel's suicide squad is really inaccurate and a statement made and propegated by people like grace Randolph and John campea who only have a surface level knowledge of the source material Because that is just one version of the team if you look at the original comics they have more in common with the seven from The boys a team of villains pretending to be heroes to the general public but eventually some of them try to be actual heroes
@@mickeymouse7726 I know, that’s why I said that, because on paper they sound really similar (team of antiheroes/villains form a team that is sometimes headed by the government) but they’re really night and day, and I’m worried that they’ll go off those similarities and just make it another Suicide Squad without paying attention to what makes them different. It’s the same way Ant-Man and the Atom are completely different despite sharing a similar concept
Btw, you’re talking about the classic Thunderbolts where they were all villains in disguise with your Seven similarity, some more recent Thunderbolts teams in the comics have been “controlled” by the government and were genuine antihero/villain teams doing good in the loosest definition, something I really don’t want the MCU Thunderbolts to be but I have a feeling that’ll be the case
Honestly I think the Thunderbolts WILL be the Suicide Squad. The team of villains pretending to be heroes and maybe some decide actually that's not a bad gig will be the Dark Avengers. Falcon & Winter Soldier set up like a clown car of possible Avengers teams with New Avengers with Sam & Bucky, Young Avengers with Isaiah's grandson, Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers with Power Broker/Contessa/Zemo. I guess that's the escalation Nolan was talking about everyone wants a piece.
new midnight vid to keep my occupied during my layover lets goooooooooo
I, personally, am so excited for the Thunderbolts movie. I've been a huge fan of the team throughout their multiple different iterations in the comics, and one of their more common members nowadays, Ghost, happens to be my favorite marvel character of all time. Hoping they bring back Ava Starr in the new one.
That would be cool, but I don't see how they'd do that considering that they already cured her
I would much prefer a more comic accurate take on the character. They don't have to make him a guy again, but just keep his personality and history correct. (Which isn't hard to do, since he is a mysterious mf)
But it's unlikely they will, and they'll probably come up with some contrived reason as to why she has her powers if she's in it
I really want Holland to stick around. I still think he’s the best live action Spidey and the end of No Way Home clearly sets him up for a new arc. I’d love to see a young avengers with the gender ratio flipped - Nat was the only female on the old team, have Tom be the only male on a team with Kamala, Kate, Yelena, America and Riri. That could be great, even if we’d get those tiresome “M-she-U” trolls moaning about it.
Yeah, but Kamala, Kate, Yelena, America and Riri are nowhere near as likeable as the OG Avenger team males.
(inb4 someone accuses me of muh soggy knee)
@@msid7748 That is a matter of opinion. I think Kate, Yelena and Kamala are just as likeable as any OG Avenger. I do agree America and Riri aren’t quite there but they were basically plot devices with potential for real character growth. Thor didn’t become that great of a character until Ragnarok IMO.
I’m so happy to hear that you like reloaded as well.
I think secret wars will adapt the 2015 version and I have a feeling it will be much more comic accurate compared to other mcu movies based on a particular comic
That would be hrd to do with no DOOM, T’challa, fantastic four, molecule man, thanos, or xmen. All of which played a pretty significant role in the comic. Not to mention that most of the other comic universes in secret war haven’t been seen or invested in by fans in the movies yet. (no new universe, 2099 universe, 1490’s universe ect.. in live action yet)
@@Getwright- the fantastic 4 are being introduced a year before secret wars and probably doom with them. There will be a new black panther and I'm not saying it will be 1 to 1. *it put a smile on my face*
I would like to hear your thoughts on the upcoming Fantastic Four movie in the MCU, discussing things like a potential plot, cast, and villain that you think the filmmakers will go with.
Tom Holland has been giving conflicting statements about the future of his role. The guy probably just wants a raise.
Secret wars was my favourite thing to read from marvel as a kid. Made me a huge fan of Magneto and Dr Doom
4:36-5:47
I’m surprised by the fact there’s no mention of the modern Secret Wars which is more likely what this phase is leading up to which worlds colliding and Dr Doom (or maybe a different Kang) being the to create Battleworld where all the heroes will either fight each other or team up to stop the greater evil which is Kang/Dr Doom
Thunderbolts is definitely at the top of my hype list. @captainmidnight Can you do a video at some point with your dream roster for the team based on both who’s been rumored and some other unique picks?
The Secret Wars film will almost definitely be pulling from 2015's comic event of the same name, not the 1984 one. The 2015 event is all about multiversal war and Doctor Doom sewing what's left of the multiverses together, becoming God Emperor. I think that sounds amazing as a film, especially considering Fantastic Four will have been out for a year by that point, and considering there's rumors Doom will be in Wakanda Forever in some capacity.
I just don' think there is sufficient time to even attempt that story even if you eliminate all the setup which I would argue was what helped make it great. Like if that was embedded into the end of Phase 3 and the last 4 years had been only setup maybe. Things like the escalation of power level for the Avengers almost like they were being called to a Crisis....mega space wars and then collapsing universes where even the Infinity Gauntlet could only buy a one-off stay of execution all leading to a confrontation with God Doom.
Avengers Secret Wars will be the biggest movie ever. They’re probably bringing back every Marvel live action character ever. And maybe even some animated ones like in Spiderverse and What If
great content bro
I have a feeling that secret wars and kang dynasty will contain two different avengers teams, one fighting kang , the others in battleworld fighting other variants of each other , maybe that’s why they are quickly introducing a lot of heroes, these 2 situations can easily be disjointed with people having different wars to battle
I love the first Thor movie I hope Disney plus brings back avengers Earth's mightiest hero's for a 3rd season
I love how people assume it’s the og Secret Wars they’re going for.
It’ll be the third one about the incursion event
Different directors for two movies in the same series, with closely related plots and characters? That has NEVER gone poorly for Disney!
I feel like Kang dynasty will mostly focus on the young avengers and secret wars will wrap up a lot of the older avengers stories and close up the multiverse saga (Bring in Miles, recast where appropriate etc)
hopefully marvel gets better with their villains and lets them live for a while instead of killing them off immediately after they’re introduced
Especially with Dr Doom, he should not die at all
Why is everyone so obsessed with talking about Doom when Secret Wars is literally a Fantastic Four story? Hell, I'd argue it's a character study on Reed and Doom. The latter half of the war is literally fueled with Doom's false sense of reality AND Reed's relentlessness to restore everything to see his Family again. Y'all be overlooking Reed so much and it's sad considering without him, there'll be no restored multiverse in the first place. Hell, he even fucking cured Doom's face. Like, give the man some recognition. He might not be the best hero compared to others, but he sure damn well made sure Everything Lives.
The Fantastic Four were Marvel's Top Superhero comics in the 70s-80s.
They've fallen off massive in popularity since.
They're going to do a Days of Future Past thing- in the comics Kitty Pryde went back in time. In the movie they sent Wolverine since he was the more popular and bankable character. I expect they'll do the same for Reed Richards - replace him with a more popular and bankable character.
5:48 This panel just makes me hope they have Cloak & Dagger in Secret Wars
I’m really hoping The Kang Dynasty concludes the Multiverse Saga, and that Secret Wars begins a new saga based around Doom or just keep the secret war(s) going. the phase 6b-7 or 8 films would all be affected by Secret Wars at varying levels, from barely to heavily, and it would conclude with an all out war against Doom or Galactus or whoever they choose
Have we got to the point where "Earth's mightiest heroes" is an old reference frag from CM videos? Geez I feel old
Just praying they pull this off cos of they do. Wow
I think that the secret wars will be based on the newer secret wars, that one where universes fight each other and Dr Doom gets godly powers
My guess is that Secret Wars is going to pull a lot from the Bendis pre-Avengers Disassenbled version. There's a lot of Latveria intrigue in that story and could really high light a more classic tech based version of Doom. That being said a script based on Hickman's version of Battle World would be cool too.
Last Thor flick left me feeling that Marvel movies might really just be losing it. But if Wakanda Forever saves the Marvel Day or not, and giving the future of Marvel a much-needed breath of fresh air, along with a really well-made Blade & new Avengers movies - then that would be utterly awesome.
Thor was great. Everyone bitched that the movies had a "house style". Now everyone bitches that auteurs can bring their own perspective. There's no pleasing some of you.
I don't know if I've said this, but I LOVE your videos! It's really nice to see an honest opinion that doesn't just say "X movie is GARBAGE! or "X movie is the BEST in the series! You just say your piece and go!
I forgot that I owned that Doctor Doom playset as a kid until I watched this video. Thanks for the memory.
Love your videos. Gotta take issue with one thing... "playing it safe?" I struggle to see how WandaVision, Eternals, Loki, Moon Knight and DS2 fit this narrative. Those projects are literally the opposite of "safe"
For once I believe the avengers don't have to be the center focus, I love them and they can still help out but I believe more light should be put on Kang, Dr. Doom, Reed Richards and the X-Men(if they're introduced by then). Tbh I think Secret wars needs to be split into 2 3 hour movies. It's the only way to do that many characters on such an epic scale justice.
Two ideas I have for Secret Wars:
1. Get the directors of Everything Everywhere All At Once to direct it. Let them go as crazy as possible.
2. Bring back the Fox X-Men for one last hurrah. Maybe destroy their universe in an incursion, and have the resulting multiversal cataclysm cause the X-Men to now exist in the MCU (albeit with new origins and new actors).
The Daniels would kill it with Secret Wars.
For secret wars, I think it will likely focus on Doctor doom and take way more from 2015’s secret wars (which was amazing imo) than the original
I think a big reason why blade isn't talked about is that there is way too many projects going now. People are getting fatigued and aren't as up to getting hyped up for new stuff when they can bank on stuff they recognize.
Everything was heading towards INFINITY WAR and ENDGAME

It is not far more likely that the secret wars from 2015 will be the base of the film not what OG secret wars?
This film will end the multiverse saga, so basing it on the version of secret wars that had a patchwork battle world literally made up of the surviving parts of multiple universes, world makes so much sense that I’m surprised that you didn’t even mention it.
They might not do it because it may be too similar to how they ended infinity war, but o could see Kang Dynasty ending with the multiverse so damaged that it sets up the patchwork battle world for the next film.
Edit: 2015 not 2016
I think with the incursions introduced in MoM, it is the Hickman version of Secret Wars since we will have Namor and Reed Richards by then.
Blade is probably the project I'm most worried about.
We already got an amazing R rated version and honestly, it wasn't that long ago. All the 30 year olds remember it fondly and well.... it'll be impossible to not compare the two. And I simply don't see Marvel/Disney putting Mahershala Ali, a two time Oscar winner, in an R rated flick with limited visibility.
So I'm basically assuming we are going to get a watered down version of the big screen character.
yea I'm not optimistic about Blade. The original had such an amazing dark, violent, gritty tone - that kind of dark/vampire/hunting character just won't translate well to PG-disney-marvel audiences. Just look at Morbius.
I think they should split up the MCU into PG movies and Rated R movies, with occasional PG crossover events. They have too many adult characters that they can’t afford to mess up. Blade, Punisher, Daredevil, Deadpool etc.
@@mauropedrosa7317 totally agree this is an elegant solution
Some characters need to have the R rated Marvel MAX treatment, Blade, Punisher and Ghost Rider are definitely on this list.
What surprises me the most is how much announcing the Avengers subtitles removes speculation and anticipation. Remember all the hype just about Endgame's TITLE? Remember wondering what the Phase 1 and early Phase 2 movies were even dealing with? Marvel is just laying it all out there this time, which, for me, ruins a little bit of the fun, because now I expect every little nugget and mid- or post-credit scene to lead into Kang.
I thought the same exact thing about how the Kang narrative will wrap up in Kang Dynasty and Doom will be the main villain of Secret Wars
Thunderbolts being the finale of the current phase I think they need a an out an out centre character that pulls audience towards them or else I don't really see people going theatre for the thunderbolts ai think if the bring Ghost rider in the mix i think it will work wonders.
let’s goooo
They 100% should use this and Secret Wars to recast people who have left and bring characters back. Make the team fully Multiversal and "solve" the incursion problem. Merge all the timelines and pick the most fun cast.
That horrible. Terrible
Really surprised you didn't mention the 2015 Secret Wars. I strongly suspect they'll be using that more than the 1984 one for the Secret Wars movie
Captain, there's a more recent version of Secret Wars that includes multiversal travel. You might have to do a re-edit on this my brother.
Actually Tom Holland never said he wants out of the role. When he said “If I’m playing Spider-Man when I’m 30 then I’ve done something wrong” he meant he’d feel bad for not giving other actors a chance to play the character but he said that he still wants to continue playing the character
That sounds like he wants out of the role to me, tbh.
That's some word salad right there.
@@captainmidnight No but Tom said in an interview after that he didn’t mean it that way. He said that he would love to continue if marvel and sony want him to
I'm sure he doesn't want out, but I'm also sure he won't say no to the money. Patrick Stewart said he was done with professor x after an incredible goodbye to the character, but even he came back
I’m wondering if Sony’s overbearing control of the Spider-Man IP has affected how he feels about continuing to play the role, I feel like he wouldn’t say this if Marvel fully owned the rights.
Patiently waiting for Critical Drinker to say Marvel failed because it's..... Woke!
Lol true. Like clockwork 🤡
I'm pretty certain secret wars will be following the 2015 version much more heavily than the old one with the multiverse saga occurring and mentions of incursions
Im just curious about "Born Again" in DD's title, because that was the main inspiration of the netflix season 3.
I have very little hope for Marvel to claw themselves out of the hole of mediocrity that they dug for themselves
MCU days are numbered
Its alot of numbers but that are limited
Really shocked you didn't bring up 2015 Secret Wars.
With the theme of «Incursions» is more likely the Secret Wars movie will be about Jonathan Hickman's Secret Wars from 2015
With Tom getting sick of the character, we could likely see a baton pass between him and the MCUs Miles Morales. How they do that is what concerns me. They probably want to have both spidermen on screen together in order to sell mad merch but I feel like they could also use it as a way to kill off Peter like they did the ultimate universe. Other characters are already carrying the torch such as Falcon/Captain America and Iron heart (soon) so it could work here
After seeing The Boys I don’t think I will enjoy the new MCU much anymore, I haven’t seen many of the new content from the MCU besides Spider-Man and Dr.Strange, I understand why a lot of people don’t enjoy these movies and they have become boring ( I didn’t think Spider-Man or Dr.Strange was boring I’m talking about other content ) We need much more danger in these movies and I’m sick of the same point of view and ending in every movie. Why don’t we have a movie about a villain or anti-hero that wins? Because Disney
brother missed infinity war
@@souv8151 brother missed Endgame
@@ChrisRitty Thanos won Infinity War, even if it was reversed later. The "hero" of Loki also lost in the end of the series, and in Wandavision too.
@@TheCowardRobertFord You didn’t see my other reply obviously because you forgot Endgame exists. Wanda didn’t win in any way. She is in hiding and then dies in Dr.Strange, and then Loki isn’t even a real villain by the end of the show and Kang is revealed to be the new MCU villain.
@@ChrisRitty Exactly, and Loki loses. Wanda also lost everything in Wandavision, even if she did triumph over Agatha.
I think they’ll be adapting the 2015 secret wars- makes more sense with the incursion event we saw in the end of MOM.
They might adapt the 2015 version of secret wars. Considering everything with the multiverse, it would definitely make a lot more sense.
YOOOOOOOO MCU BLADE! :D
Woo hoo, PG13 Disneyfied Blade! So exciting! :D :D :D
I'm really praying for a Spider-Gwen live action movie. So my hope would be that if Tom Holland drops off, Spider-Gwen is added. And she has a really good story with her symbiote that could work really well with Secret Wars
Damn, that would be interesting
I don't know anything about Kang dynasty, but I am very excited, because I LOVED him in Loki
I really doubt that Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars is going to come out in 2025, there's just no way that it doesn't get pushed back one or two more years just to add a little more build up to it. Unless Fantastic 4 is just a masterpiece that sets up KD and SW perfectly
Phase 4 has been Lackluster to me... I feel like I've started to move on. I don't feel the need to see EVERY Marvel thing anymore, now its more skip 50% or more and catch what looks interesting and even then I come away thinking 'It was alright' on most of those. Maybe the Phase 5 & 6 stuff will be good, but from now on Marvel has to work to lure me in, no more just watching it because they slapped a Marvel tag on it.
black panther 2 looks like it’s gonna be pretty good at least.
Several months ago, before spiderman came out I commented on your video that the idea of Multiverse was One of the worst point in Marvel Comics, and that had make gigantic damages expecially in Spiderman issues, and that it would have make the Marvel cinematic universe a joke.. and that is what happened..
How’s the multiverse make the mcu a joke?
@@spideym35i multiplying the Number of masturbations, that only brings to worst content, if not content at all... Strange 2 is a clear example of nothingness..
A yes, NOW it’s a joke. Not when they were releasing garbage like IronMan 2 and 3, Thor 2, and Ant-Man. Just now. Right.
@@Fantallana now it is garbage plus galactic masturbations.. so, yes it's defenitevely worst garbage than before..
@@lucasanfilippo5370 nah, we’ve got gems like WandaVision, Moon Knight, and Ms Marvel. Sorry that they only have good writing instead of a million white men for you, lol
With the hit and miss quality of phase 4 with the avengers movies being in the same year actually got me scared then hyped.
What was this opening? “Too much superhero content”???? You’re fkn CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT, I literally subscribed to this channel for superhero content
