Still commenting in 2024 because I come back to this all the time. Rachel tucker is by far the best Elphie I have ever seen on stage (I’ve seen many London Elphies). The absolute nailing of such an impossibly difficult song to sing is not only astounding in this video but live? It’s jaw dropping. She stretched it to its limit like a BOSS! Her Fiyerooooo riff is unbeatable. Stomped all over it and made it look so easy. And she did this so many nights a week? Much love for musical theatre performers. Wow.
I was obsessed with defying gravity but this has the all the Tucker essentials: crisp powerful pronunciation "no act of charity goes unresented" 1:35 ferious witchy growling "gOOOOes unpunished" 1:53 churchy soulfulness "EEVER AGAAAIN!!!"3:20 mastered high notes ""fiyerooooooooo" 2:13 i think she may be a real witch :D:D:D
I feel like this song is more of a powerful song then Defying Gravity this song is more challenging then all song combined!!!! This song your going through stressed to angry to sad to some what happy to sassy I really want people to relies that this is the best song they could ever right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ryan Peterson I only knew defying gravity when I went to see Wicked in grade 11 and immediately after hearing No Good Deed it took over as my favourite song and had me searching on RUclips for all the different versions. I love it, I definitely agree.
Ryan Peterson. In my opinion it depends who sings it. Like Willemjins DG is better than her NGD. But people like Rachel have better NGD not DG even though her DG is incredible
Okay can we just talk about,,,,, the way her accent came through at 1:08 gives me goosebumps every time I listen to this recording. Legitimate chills...
I must have watched every Elphaba and none are as captivating as Rachel Tucker. I so wish she was cast in the movie. I feel like I won’t be able to enjoy it as well knowing how much better it (probably) would be with Rachel. She’s magic!
Right? She’s literally the best ever. She played this role longer than anyone else ever has, I think it was what 3/4 years on and off across broadway and westend. She’s absolutely Incredible
I feel the same as she is my fave elphie on stage but man… Cynthia Erivo? She is magic and beautiful and such a rising star! Just saw the movie and have tears haha!
@@jordanjmichaels I was lucky enough to get to see Rachel play her twice on Broadway. Wicked was my first Broadway experience, and it was on Halloween in 2015 with my mom. It was called Wicked Day because I believe it was the 12th anniversary being on Broadway. We got a cool Wicked Day bag with goodies and the entire audience was in a photo with the cast after the show that they posted online. Amazing memory.
i came back to this AAAAGAIN!!! because ugh…NEVER fails to give me the chills and bring a tear to my eye. this is just. transcendent? otherworldly? there are no words. she IS elphaba and i’m so unbelievably happy to say that i got to see her during her broadway run. i like unhinged my jaw from how much i was (quietly) screaming. Rachel, my beloved…
Ok she is amazing, really ! BUT for me, the best "no good deed" video ever is the rehearsal one of Willemijn Verkaik with the german version ( "gutes tun" ) 😍😍! Her riff are amazing, good job Rachel ! 😍💚
I love it... She is definitely in the top 10 but doesn't eclipse shobean or Donna V.... But I am not an RT hater at all she has the best DG I've ever heard
I don't think she's better than Donna Vivino, but Rachel definitely has one of the best performances of this song that I've heard. Very powerful and definitely unforgettable! I'd be very happy to see her live!
So thanks to this comment, which I haven't seen whenever i have revisited this, I watched Donna Vivino, and I want to thank you, her version is also amazing, I never say anyone is better than anyone, as each person brings something different to the song, but I loved her version, so thank you
Omg I got to meet her at the stage door after I went to watch the uk tour of wicked in Birmingham and she signed my program, she's only an amazing singer but a lovely person aswell
Thank you, personally Rachel is my favorite but Fearn is in my top five. So many people go around commenting bad things about other Elphaba’s just because they are not that person’s favorite
Listened again, it sounds to me like she slurs together, "well LOOKIT TWHAT TWELL meant did....." But on the 3rd listen trying to hear "who" I DID hear that lol..... 😂 idk. Must be the accent confusing me.
@@MrsK8Martin Not hearing the it at all, slow it down to 0.5 and you’ll be able to hear the “Sure i meant well, well look WHO what well meant did” 2:58

Rachel so deserves to play the role on Broadway. She is the best elphaba ever. She put absolutely everything she has into her performance. Amazing
She would win every American stage award there ever was
I know, I'm so happy and excited for her!
Idina who?
I was so excited when she came to Broadway, and I got to see her! She was AMAZING and incredibly sweet at the stagedoor.
the west end is just as good as broadway 😂

Is why Rachel wins always.

Rachel is up there with Kerry Ellis as of my favorite West End Elphabas

@@jackdennis9286 I thought quite the opposite about Will. But that may be bc I'm biased towards her German version
i think it's more challenging vocally too, bc of the vowel sounds, at least that what i realised personally
What do you mean "best" she knocks it out of the park every bloody time!!!!!!
Ever since I heard her sing "goes" with that growl I simply can't listen to anybody else...

I LOVE Rachel tucker! Her riff is amazing. The whole son gets me so excited and gives me chills :) FIYERROOOO
THIS IS PERFECTION DEAR LORD
I feel honoured that I got to see her as Elphaba before she left
Love her "again", outstanding performance. Check out Eden Espinosa's final LA performance of "No Good Deed", my all-time favorite...cheers

I wish I could find out how many of those views are mine. I still listen to this everyday. Jesus. She's incredible.
Listening to performances like this I am genuinely mad that the official audio is sung by Idina Menzel. So many classes between them...
Yes! Rachel does have a recording on spotify though :)

Lexis R. I only Listen to Tucker so I have nothing to compare her to 😅 but let me check out this vivino woman 😂
Aaron Spratt Oh Donna is Amazing! I have a full recording of her performance :3
Nikki Bentley easily beats her
I think emotionally she outpreforms others

Best Elphaba everrrrr
Can I steal her voice I because it's fantastic?
Holy moly this is incredible
Saw her live once and she blew my socks right off. Person beside me was shocked. Hayley Gallivan is up there with her on this song. Amazing talents.
Love Rachel she's so solid! 💪
not gonna lie, since hearing Jessica Vosk there's no other Elphaba for me. But Rachel is insane too!
i still haven’t heard someone top this performance
