Magpie is actually a supervillain in the comics who faced off against multiple figures not just Batman and Superman. What a strange villain to reference so quickly in Arkham just to have Sofia bash her head in same episode
Another Awesome Recap! As I always say, just as entertaining as the shows themselves! And this show, is on another Level. I see awards for all who is working on it come Emmy season!
You know if you want ot know if a character is someone from the comics, you can just look it up, right? Yes, Magpie is a DC villain first appearing in the 1980s but appearing in a revised version here. This version of her obviously dies before Batman even exists or before she can become a genuine villain.
Julian Rush, to me, does not read as a good guy, but a 'nice' guy. He wants to help Sofia because he's developed an obsession with her, not because he actually has any ethical reservations about. The very open abuses being enacted on everyone else, just because... what? They're less articulate than Sofia is? They're less put together, less "sane" and therefore less human? Because they're certainly not suffering any less than she is. That slenderman looking woman was fully willing to kill herself to get tf out of Arkham.
Comics - short form illustrated story, around 22 pages. Graphic Novel - long form illustrated story, whether it be a collection of comics into one volume or a full length original. And Dr Julian Rush 'seems like a good guy'? 🤣🤣🤣 At minimum, dude's a creeper...
This show is so damn good. Cristin absolutely destroys this role. She is phenomenal

One of the darkest episodes of TV I’ve seen in a while. And it wasn’t even that violent.
Let's go!!!! Pod time baby. Ep 4 Fucked HARD
Is Penguin 🐧 the best show on tv 📺. If this quality keeps up Colin, Cristin & the show will win major awards.

Barrett’s little face at the start as he prepares for his performance 💛🥲

B Money needs to stop being so good with this impression. My girlfriend watches this show and will probably leave me for a jersey boy now.
