Another Entertaining recap! But I gotta disagree with Barrett on this one, I thought it was a solid episode that pushed the story along and set up the remaining episodes quite nicely. Was there some things that were too convenient and improbable? Yes. But it was so entertaining (and quite brutal) that I didn't mind.
I also think they might be holding out for another season after the movie, which could be a new, cool way of building hype for movies by doing a quality series as the lead-up to the next motion picture production. Also, I don't think I've seen a series designed just to be a one-shot deal without calling it a limited series.
The Cure's iconic A Forest leading us into Penguin's underground lair was perfection. I want more and more gothic rock for Waddles. But does Mama Bird survive the season? I mean, how's she gonna react being taken down into the sewers???
Oz is not a capo-when Sofia says "So what, so you could become a capo?" I think she means it like. Did you seriously think you could ever rise that high? They haven't even let you into middle management.
This episode really made me question why they would go for an 8-episode season instead of 10 episodes. Episode 5 felt rushed in comparison with the previous episodes which I enjoyed thoroughly. Its like they fully opened the gas on this show but I liked marinating in it.
My first thought with the literal blood money was the reaction of the woman that see their man come back with a bunch of money covered in blood. What do they do? Do some just grab some rags and spray bottles from under the sink and follow him into the bathroom without a word? Do they find it hidden somewhere and freak out and take the kids?

Love Barrett’s Oz voice😂😂😂hope it doesn’t hurt his vocal chords
Ya ... he's nailing that accent. Barrett's cold opens just keep getting better.
Don’t yuck her yum! 😂 as always, feels like I’m with friends! Love the pod, the takes, the humor!!!
Also I'm pretty sure it's not BDSM stuff. There's a stable attached to the Falcone estate, and it's obviously a horse bit in Johnny's mouth.
Is one of OZ's henchmen Turtle from Entourage?
Was a little fast passed but it still moved the plot along and no one was really spinning in place…Take notes HOTD season3 !!! 😅

Waddle Waddle Waddle #mudgate
The show is kinda losing its hype for me, I just wanna see Oz do Oz things I don’t really care about the other characters
