  • Let me show you how to use wax melts with an oil burner. The process starts by placing a tealight candle inside the oil burner and then by putting a wax melt on the top bowl. Now that wax melt is going to slowly burn and it is going to release the aroma into your room. The oil burner will get very hot so please do not touch it. Wax melts are a great way to make your home smell great!
    Using high-quality essential oil soy wax melts with an oil burner is a great way to make your home smell nice whilst also providing health benefits. In this video, I used homemade organic soy wax melts that contained organic cinnamon and star anise essential oil which has a Christmas-type scent.
    The oil burner used is made of ceramic and features a stunning glaze with fine detailing around the bowl. These are one of our most popular products and they come in many different colours. These functional ornaments look great on display and can enhance your decor. When in use, oil burners do get very hot and so you should ensure you place it on a heatproof coaster of some sort to avoid burning your surfaces. As it is hot you should also avoid touching or moving it once it is lit and never leave lit candles unattended.

    What's cheaper in the long run. Wax melts or candles

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  Год назад +1

      Wax melts and candles can both be quite expensive especially if they are made from soy wax and have organic essential oils - making them can bring the cost down a lot if you are buying the supplies in bulk. For an essential oil burner the candle is a must for burning the wax melt or the essential oil, out of these two the essential oil would likely work out cheaper in the long run but wax melts and candles have very similar price points.

    what do you do with the melted liquid? i keep burning but it doesn't evaporate

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  3 года назад +16

      The wax does not evaporate but the scent does. When you can no longer smell the scent you should put the candle out, let the oil burner cool and replace the wax 😊

    I would like to ask, could I use more than one tealight candle for the burner?

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  2 года назад +2

      Great question! If your oil burner is the same size as the one in the video, we wouldn’t recommend it because it could heat the oil burner too much and could cause the oil to start spitting, if the oil burner is bigger it should be fine but again you will have to monitor it to make sure that it is safe.
      Ryan 😊

    Mine brings out flames, is this ok ?

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  3 года назад +4

      If the wax melt brings out flames it is likely that the wax melts have a high oil content which is highly flammable. Technically its safe as long as nothing is nearby that could catch fire but if the flames are high I would recommend not using them

    Does the candle burn itself out safely - so you can just leave it?

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  Месяц назад

      Hi! It's best not to leave a burning candle unattended, even if it seems safe. Some candles can self-extinguish, but there's still a risk of fire. Always keep an eye on it and make sure it’s completely out before leaving the room.

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  Год назад +6

      Once the wax has melted and the scent has dissipated, you can allow it to cool and then discard it or if it is made from soy wax you can reuse the old wax to make more wax melts if you want to 😊

    • @CarvedCulture

      Yes of course that would be fine, however I wouldn’t recommend burning the wax melts for the full 8 hours, instead burn them until the essential scent disappears 😊

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  3 года назад +3

      Wax melts are intended for use with an oil burner however there is some safety precautions that you should follow such as not leaving the oil burner unattended, ensuring that the oil burner is sitting on a heatproof coaster etc.

    The wax isn't evaporating, it's just melting and staying like that,like the volume of the wax isn't decreasing. Please help me out!!

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey there! It's normal for wax melts to melt without evaporating, unlike candles. They're designed to release scent when melted and can be reused until the fragrance fades. When the smell weakens but wax remains, it's time for a new melt. To remove old wax, let it harden, then slightly warm the burner to slide out or wipe it away.
      Hope this helps! 😊

    Is it okay to place on a wood table?

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  3 года назад +3

      If you place it on a wooden table and it gets hot, it could burn the table leaving a circular mark. If possible, try to find something that you can place underneath the oil burner to stop that from happening

      Can I use an old essential oil burner?
      My flame is quite far away does this make a difference?
      How long does the wax melt last in the burner? Does it burn away or just stop scenting and then require replacing?

    • @CarvedCulture
      @CarvedCulture  Год назад +2

      @@ChrisTheSparky Great questions, I wouldn't be able to comment on your specific oil burner without first seeing it but if the flame is far away it could mean that the oil is not dispersing because it is not getting hot enough, have you tried using it and if so what was the result?
      Each wax melt is completely different as it would be made with either paraffin wax, soy wax or beeswax and would take a different amount of time to melt but also each one is made with a different amount of essential oil or fragrance and that will determine how long the fragrance lasts, typically a soy wax melt is full melted within 5 minutes and the scent will last up to 30 minutes (even though many companies claim the scent lasting hours which is very misleading)!
      When the wax has melted and there is no more aroma, the wax melt can be reused to make new melts or it can be disposed of.
      I hope you found this useful 😊
