    I had the privilege of meeting Warren when our kids dated. He was the most gracious and humble persons I ever met. I only wish he could have shown me how to play some guitar solos. What a gift of a recording this is. I hope he gets a solo band together and tours soon. Maybe Steven Tyler could collaborate with him in the same vein as Gary Moore took Jack Bruce and Ginger Backer to make BBM sound like Cream on steroids. Think about it Warren 🌪

    Just heard this for the first time. Great record! Showcases the true talent of a modest musician who survived the peak of the 80's rock scene. Solid production. Mr. DeMartini delivered an album with a signature sound and an honest vocal style that is very reminiscent of Joe Walsh. I was dumbfounded by it and immediately felt compelled to write this review. Hope to hear another solo album from the guitar legend. Personally, I think a blues record with the team of Zappa and DeMartini would be killer.

      Without a doubt! He blew away all of his contemporaries(i.e., George Lynch, Jake E Lee, etc...)

      that's great you picked up on the Joe Walsh vocal sound. to me it's great rock 'n' roll voice, gritty and gravely and sounds like a mix of Walsh and Keith Richards vocals. the album is a wild departure from Ratt and it was a treasured discovery for me.

      none of the guys in ratt were “creative geniuses”, if that were the case the song writing wouldnt have been formulaic and derivative of shit they already did.
      they were an alright band with some decent songs, if stephen wouldnt have been such a piss poor vocalist they probably would’ve killed it and done all sorts of cool shit

    Damn, I have been playing guitar since 1986 and been a Ratt fan since they came out of the cellar. I had no clue he put this album out until today in 2023. Its wild and completely off the charts. Literally. I'm into the 2nd song while writing this post. So far its definitely different. And cool in its own way.

    this is totally not what i expected, but i loved it a lot! as a fan of ratt, i thought this would be an album full of heavy guitar riffs and solos; but once i heard how calming and soothing these songs were, i instantly fell in love. this album is so mellow and relaxing. i could listen to this at a beach all day long and this would be heaven to my ears. ❤️

    I believe Warren got pegged as a "hair band" guitarist. He has so much more to offer to those who really listen to this dudes ability. I really think Warren could pretty much do whatever he wants on the guitar. Great player.

    • @knightfall9394
      @knightfall9394 9 месяцев назад

      of course he got pegged as a hair band guitarist, he’s pretty much only known for ratt and fell out of the limelight and really didnt do shit. His short stint in whitesnake didnt do shit for him and neither did a solo album that went nowhere.
      Doesnt help that ratts song writing only showcased a certain side of him too, had they not had a shit vocalist like stephen that band probably could’ve done all sorts of cool stuff
