I work at a dealership and do pre delivery inspections on these units. Basically I inspect everything, put my hands on and operate everything, run water through the system, run the pump and make sure all the monitoring panels light up all the lights. Most common problems as of now is the roof-top solar panel plug-in lacks lap sealant and insert trim isn't secured on the roof of the camper. That's as far as exterior cosmetics go. I've ram into a lot of wiring problems as well. Don't worry because all those problems are fixed before purchase. They're great units 👍

I worked as an upholsterer and one thing I learned about furniture, it can ALL be disassembled and reassembled anywhere. I have put them in boats, RV's , tiny homes, you name it. Its not free, but yes, furniture can be disassembled and reassembled. As we said, its just lumber, fabric and blood( always blood with staples). Learning that throwing an RV together in one day really bothers me. knowing those assemblers get paid by piece bothers me. In their haste to assemble, they don't care if they drive a screw or staple though a water line or wire. Anything done over and over day in and day out invites stupid mistakes. If the screw gun suddenly starts malfunctioning, that operator is going to press on reguardless if its not functioning right. That stapler that Sudddnly starts skipping staples is going to keep being used because the operator will fall behind trying to locate a replacement stapler. I worked in a factory and watched employees melt down because their machine suddenly started acting up. All they could say was how much it was costing them because their numbers for the day would be down. These company's never figure in for down time due to supply shortages, lack of repair equipment, down time because of repairs. One woman cried for the whole time her machine went down. Production should NOT be a factor in building an RV. Quality and mass production never go hand in hand. There should be no excuse to mass build a recreational product, ever.

Yes sadly most companies don't take employee satisfaction and happiness into consideration at all. All they worry about us the hard cost of everything but don't realize how much stressed and unhappy employees cost them in hidden costs that are difficult if not impossible to calculate. Costs brought on by poor work due to being rushed or lack of resepct for the company brought on by the companies lack of respect for the workers.

I just looked at new 28 ft. Springdale at our local dealer and when I walked in I was impressed with the well laid out interior and colors, and was ready to write a cheque. THEN I went up on the roof and couldn't believe the terrible workmanship and 'quality' control from this company. The roof was covered with bubbles, air pockets around everything that penetrated the roof membrane, (vents etc.), none of the membrane was adhering to the edges of the roof/wall joint, lookin through the top of the skylight, you could see the trusses and no insulation. The dealer had a second Springdale and I checked it out as well, and it had the very same issues. The head tech came to look at the unit and said they were going to immediately contact Keystone to be able to fix the roofs under warranty, good for them if they do that. Will be interesting to see if the dealer tries to sell these units to unsuspecting customers.

i own a 2018, 178LHS ,keystone travel trailer. had nothing but problems with it since we bought in march,2018. a/c was not cooling properly, had water leaks, had to replace the dinette wood at 5 months after purchase. when it rained, water flowed out of the heater, onto the floor. at 6 months, the a/c unit was hitting the top of the bathroom door. there fix, cut the door. then told them that there was water stains, running down the wall, now the roof is rotted. the said it is all my fault. wont repair the roof. and now, the a/c is now touching the top of the bathroom door again. all this within the first year.

I have one the sprinter series from Keystone rv and there's a few things I don't like about it,they seem very cheaply made and somewhat poorly designed, other things are designed very well,my 1st complaint is the outside water hookup for running water incoming into camper for the sinks shower and toilet,I really hate how the box is so small and tight and it makes it difficult to hookup a hose, especially for someone who has big hands, not very user friendly,my 2nd complaint is that the type tv mount they used for the TV in the living room does not move and is way top tight to the wall,it was so annoying that I ended up removing it and replacing with a swivel mount so you easily move it away from the wall for plugging in accessories such as dvd players video game consoles and any other accessories you can think of,my 3rd complaint is the furrion soundbar, you can't adjust the radio antenna on it for better tuning, because it's tucked away behind the fireplace mantle and you have to take a screwdriver and remove the mounting screws and pull it out just to get to the antenna wire, the 4th complaint is that the the electrical wiring for the receptacles, the receptacles are very dangerous, the wires are fine, whoever wired the receptacles did not peel back the paper on the romex cable and just shoved everything into the receptacle, also the way the receptacle is designed isn't very safe,it's made by legrand and has punch down splice style designed which doesn't make very good connection with the wires and it ended up catching on fire the one night while i was camping, luckily hardly any damage was caused thanks to the included fire extinguisher, I was able to put it out...now I'm not sure how many other manufacturers designed their campers like this but I'm sure quite a few, because I've seen stupid stuff like this before, just be careful what you buy when you by a camper.

Had 3 Keystone products, Outback TT,Cougar 5 Wheel and now a Alpine their best quality. The 1st 2 were very good products. The 2017. Alpine is a disaster and they don’t back their warranty. On the main slide warranty they accused me OS damaging it myself until our repair facility advised them that they over torqued the slide during assembly. Had it fixed and 6 months later on the 6 th time using the pinion gears broke and they wouldn’t back up the repair $2000 later I just don’t trust this RV. Last one for me. Don’t buy these. Customer service is terrible. Go to Grand Design with 3 year limited warranty.
