Come kayak fish and hang out with Honeybadger VooDoo invitation @ Redondo Beach (King Harbor). How to launch your kayak out of Redondo Beach (King Harbor): • How to Kayak Fish Sout...
Hey VooDoo thanks for the experience it was something new for me and I got to learn and tryout my kayak, next time ill be more prepared, now that I know what to spect.
Hi I was wondering would outriggers make kayaking in the ocean safer for a noob? I’m near marina del Rey and hope to try this hobby out some day. The hobie pedal kayaks look awesome and maybe some day I can work up to lobster hooping by redondo 😅 keep up the great vids!
in theory, yes - they do make it safer. but they cause drag (slows you down) if you are putting in big miles, and they can be a pain in the neck if your fishing rigs get tangled in them. and they would certainly get in the way for the hoops when you are pulling them up. best policy for new people is to understand weather/ocean conditions and only go out on the calmer days.
@@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors7305 Thank you so much, yes your videos are great for learning about safety, hope you make some more hooping vids this fall!
Question my Name is Jorge ,I live in Torrance and a Newbie Kayaker , What specific weather app do you use to see if its good enough weather to go out and Kayak fish , what should i look for ,as far as winds and swells?
Thank you so much , I’m going to do my research . I tried going out today out of Redondo , tried getting past the break wall it was way to rough I chickened out ,Jajaa ! Thank you so much love your Videos .
Nice! New kayakers should take advantage of this invite. HBV have so much to offer. I would totally come out to be your official towing service with my Solo Skiff but I have to work Thursday... :(
Awesome invitation! Been hoping to get on the water and learn from you. I purchased a Hobie during the stay at home order and would love to get on the water with your invite! I've owned previous Kayaks (Paddle) from Malibu Kayays and this is my first Peddle Mirage Drive. Thank you and hope my numbers match! My entry is 5-8-8. Thanks!
@@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors7305 Hi, please extend my spot to the next kayak person if possible. I just was asked to work a different shift tomorrow and can not get it switched. Work is all over the place with scheduling as things are starting to open back up. I am so bummed out. Thank you for the opportunity and hope to make it out with you some other time. I apologize for taking up one of your available spots. I was not anticipating having to work. Thank you once again.

hi, by "offshore" in the context of kayak fishing, i'll assume you mean maybe several mile away from the coast/harbor. i don't think there is one specific brand/model that solely fits that bill. in general terms, i'd say you need a kayak that is stable and/or tracks well. so maybe a kayak that's at least 12' long and at least 30" wide.
@@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors7305 awesome I’m trying to figure out which ones I should look into buying considering I do want go no more than 8-10 miles off shore tbh
@@Jboyz0323 well, i'd say a 20 mile round-trip kayak trip is for someone with rather extraordinary endurance and fitness, especially given the possibility of fighting a headwind for maybe half the duration. fishing kayaks aren't super-efficient or fast, so it would be a *long* day on the water.
My buddy and I just picked up a tandem kayak. We’re in the process of rigging it up and would love an opportunity to head out with you sometime. Could I sign up for your next public invitation?
@@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors7305 thank you, and next are you doing any weekend meet ups, I just got my outback and wanted to do some fishing with a group, I work weekdays
I've always use the hoist. It's $18 to launch and retrieve my Solo Skiff and they validate your parking for $4. I wouldn't be able to launch it at the dock and I don't think the officials like me launching a gasoline motor there.
Hi all - an example of an entry would be something like 5-8-7.
The last three digits of the Dow are 2-4-6.
Have fun out there!
thanks Bravo!
This is so great ! I wish I would of seen it earlier ! Maybe I can come on the next one ! Good luck out there today ! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
well, you didn't miss much. the bite was pretty awful. i've never seen so much on the sonar and gotten so little action :)

i am so sorry i couldn't put you on more fish. that's about a slow a bite as i've seen at Redondo - we fished until 10:30 and caught one more fish.
@@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors7305 All good bro, there will be another opportunity later on, i appreciate you helping me out.

Is they’re a parking fee at king harbor?
Yes. Not sure what the rates are, but after about 8 hours of fishing, we can pay as much as $22.

Yes you can. From either the hoist or you can technically with help down the ramp
