For those who were on the trip today, it doesn’t get much better than this. The weather was perfect, the chop manageable, and we caught plenty of fish. Awesome day!! Thanks again…
agreed! conditions were perfect, water was moving, fish were on the bite. one of our guys got a sleigh ride courtesy of a monster fish. great company - thx everyone.
Would love to join you on the next one. New to kayak fishing. Bought a used pedal drive kayak. Only did basic safety stuff so far like flipping the kayak over and getting back on it.

Hi I just recently bought an old town sportsman AP 136 kayak and would love to join if you guys ever go on a Sunday. Unfortunately I work on Saturdays. I’ve been mainly just hitting up SD bay but I am excited to try new places and make more kayaking friends! Love your videos!!
I’m up for a meetup! I’ll be taking my kiddo so I’ll be using my inflatable with outboard coming out of MDR but I can meet wherever you guys are at. I was planning on going to PV. I’m pretty new to kayak fishing. Your vids are what got me started. Just did a session paddling from MDR to Santa Monica break wall, all for 2 calicos lol. Swells and snags made it hard to fish and I got there a bit late so I couldn’t fish much that day. Overall about a 10 mile paddle or so. So far I only know MDR with the kayak. And getting to know the bay with the inflatable.
Hey man wanted to say I love the channel! And I’ll be out there this Saturday 3rd but launching out of mdr with inflatable kayak fishing mdr reefs taking my wife out Saturday conditions so far look great. Hope you guys crush it! Your videos have been great knowledge wish I could join you guys
@@Joel-lopez i gotta tell you - i went out of MDR and paddled to the Reef a couple of times. it was *super* slow. i busted my butt for 3 hours to catch one shorty Calico. i'm not a patient man - it was hard to take, lol.

This summer due to some family medical issues i've only been able to hit saltwater. I actually went out of redondo last weekend with Shane and hit the PV kelp for calicos with glide baits. But yeah, I couldn't commit to anything this year for central coast, but I should be good for next year.

Im up for it! Kayaks been stowed away for way too long. Dont go out to much bc same reasons as you, road biking and fishing the Sierra's taking all my time away from going into the ocean. Plus i dont know anyone to really go with, and it gets a little scetchy when you're alone

Hey I’ve been doing a lot of pier/shore/ocean fishing this year for the first time after doing lots of fresh water. Went kayak fishing last weekend for the first time and loved it, would be so down to join with my friend!
i gotta be honest with you, Ruben. if you've only been out one time on a kayak, this trip will probably be overwhelming. we'll be paddling a *bunch*. on top of that, there are other considerations like wind/swells/safety, gear, fishing techniques. i'll keep you in mind for the next invite - thx.

hey there. thanks for the comment. do you feel like you can paddle 10-12 miles in total? i should let you know that this isn't a guided tour of Redondo. it's more like, "come paddle and fish with us, provided that your fitness level is good, and you have a can-do attitude."
@@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors7305 My kayak is a pedal kayak so I think it will be manageable to do 10-12 miles. I’m not exactly a newbie, but I have only launched out of King Harbor once. I took my Hobie PA-14 to Palos Verdes and back. The biggest issue I had was getting back up on the dock after getting back. The PA-14 is a beast of a kayak and there is a couple feet of drop off the launch ramp. I had to get someone to help me lift the kayak back onto the dock. That’s pretty much my only beef with King Harbor, unless there is a better place to launch from.
@@infomwr i hear you. i used to ride a PA14. with a kayak like that, you're much better off using the boat hoist. they'll also validate your parking, and in the end, it ends up being the same price as hand-launching.
