1. They couldn’t see what the crowd in front was seeing (snipers on roof returning fire, etc.)
2. We’re a week past the 4th of July where we’ve been hearing loud pops every other day. Most people are less prone to immediately fear loud pops these past weeks.
3. There was a PowerPoint type image being presented on the screens that many people were focused on at the moment.
