I have all my life (80 yrs ) admired.and enjoyed this song. I have great respect and regard for Rev.Samuel Packiyanathan as a poet and lyricist and preacher of gospel . For this song,In all his wisdom he chose this beautiful tune to be befitting for his amazing words.
I think that the tune itself was composed by the great legend Naushad Ali for probably a Hindhi or Urdu Gazal. Please let me know if I am wrong regarding this matter.If what I think is correct and the great Naushad is the creator of the tune, then Praise and glory be to our Lord Jesus Christ for bringing the minds of two great men to create a jewel which we will all cherish for ever. The singing, the the programing by Paul Vijay, and the
choral arrangement by my dear friend Augustine Paul are beautiful.

Dear Iyya, this song was written by Rev. Samuel Packianathan only. As great grand children and grand children of him, we acknowledge that. In keerthanai song book not only this song but some more songs which were written by Rev. Samuel Packianathan was wrongly replaced with some other’s name. I don’t know why this was happened. Hope you know the song Aasirvathiyum karththare was also written by Rev. Samuel Packianathan which was claimed by Mr. Abraham Pandithar family earlier, now their grand children accepted that it was not written by their grand father. The history is in our Tirunelveli Diocese. They have published in the 125th celebration of IMS as Rev. Samuel Packianathan was the first missionary of IMS.

In every CSI wedding Service ( in Tamil ) the first song is "Yedenil Aadi Manam". this song is in English as "The Voice that breathed o'er Eden.." This song was translated by the Bishop Robert Caldwell (SPG Bishop, in Tinnavely Diocese) in Classic Tamil. (Courtesy Vincent Kumaradoss' Doctoral Thesis about Robert Caldwell)
If you have proper document about the authorship of " Bayandu Kartharin Thooya Vazhil.." you please write it, to the General Secretary of CLS, Chennai, The Bishop, CSI Madras Diocese (President of CLS) and also the Principal, Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary, Arasaradi, Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
