All I know is that Sade sati crushed against the ground. Everything I had 7 1/2 years ago I lost or was deeply damaged. Divorce, financial ruin, sub-employment, health issues, judicial trouble, car loss, tax trouble, etc. Now, I am still here buried under the debris looking for a way out.

Is your Saturn debilitated? I don't want to put salt over the wound. I want to be just helpful. Usually planets' dignities make us do the mistakes throughout our life. Then Saturn comes and judges if we screwed up by being irrational in any areas of life. If so, it teaches lessons in those areas. Try to correct those mistakes you made which ended you up in the current situation. Most of the things can be gained back which Saturn made you lose.
Don't always blame Sade sati but also look for which vimashottri mahadasha you're going from... basically if it's of rahu ketu and Saturn it really gets troublesome

Omg I had my Sade Sati & Saturn Return at the same time, I FINALLY just got out of my Sade Sati in March (Then saturn went RX and just went Direct) I survived!! Thank God its all over now..

About half way through my Sade sati. The first two years nothing happened,...it was a very happy and good period in my life. The last 2 years have been hell. Saturn is currently in the same sign as my moon and this is the first time I have suffered from horrible depression. Just a very horrible time for my mental health....but I know everything is for the best so I am growing and evolving a lot. After Saturn leaves the sign of Aquarius (where my moon is), I will have my first Saturn return. There is no way I can feel worse than I do now so I am hoping it will be somewhat positive and that I will reap some rewards for all the intense inner work that I have been doing.

My nephew had a terrible bike accident and his hip born was broken and he is bed-ridden temporarily.He was in great pain. When I checked his horoscope, i was shocked to see that he was going through Sade Sani. Ryan, to understand you better you should use a board and draw the chart and explain if possible. I really do love this topic, and Saturn is now crossing into my asc, so I'm curious to see if I notice a difference between Saturn on my moon in 12th to now asc. Honestly I don't think it has been too bad so far, but I have Saturn in Cap and it's my strongest planet when I look at shad bala, but I will say I was the most self destructive when it was within 10 degrees of my moon, but the months after that were very transformative. Maybe has more to do with a 2 degree scorp moon, and rahu transiting there at the same time? Who knows, but Saturn is such a fascinating planet.

I have Moon in Capricorn in 8th house with pluto , saturn and south node transiting very close to moon. My Natal Saturn is in 6th house in Sag. I have def had not so successful intimate relationships-people come in out of life but work I have alot of different options but I have trouble dicerning what would be best. Its totally restructuring how I make money. I definately would like remedies.

I had Saturn Return and Sade Sati happen at the same time. It is a very testing time to gather strength, maturity and emotional fortitude. I lost my dream job, underemployed for years now, on the brink of poverty, always struggling with everything and nothing coming easy without hard work, health problems - but now it's getting a bit better with Saturn separating from my Moon. I'm happy that this happens only once every 30 years or so. It was the worst period of my life, but it made me strong and resilient.

Seem to have been through all these houses. 59 next January and have Saturn in Capricorn. Does that mean that it's in the 10th house.
Saturn is my atmakaraka, it is (retrograde) in my 12th house in capricorn in conjunction with Moon (in the same house, same sign). So, in 2020 second phase of sade sati and saturn return is happening at the same time in the 12th house.
I really am clueless about what is coming ahead.
I am just trying to holding my breath and tuning in the energy of acceptance with an open mind. I hope I will able to survive.

Okay, you can't possibly correctly analyze that Saturn return in the 4th solely deals with pets. It is very much possible because of its aspect on the 6th house, but Saturn in the 4th involves so much more than just pets. For example, it involves domestic responsibilities, emotional strength, and possibly even hardship related to the mother and homeland. It involves your service to your homeland. It could also involve building the foundations of happiness if the subject is unhappy or even depressed and so much more. See how deep Astrology is? Of course you do, you just need to provide more information.
Yes! That's what I wanted to write. I have Saturn in the 4th and no pets :D. I wanted to write that Saturn in there surely must represent other things apart from pets. Surely Ryan cannot make extensive analysis on a youtube video, maybe there is more info in the website he directs us to.
Yes, this was meant to only give ideas. Essentially consider what the 4th house represents, that will help guide you into analysis of other things. It is impossible to go into exhaustive detail in a 25 minute video.
Ryan Kurczak in fact, I know exactly what it means from experience. Others dont have the same experience but maybe thats because saturn rules a bad house in my chart.
I have my moon at 29º Scorpio in the 8th house (and yes I'm going through Sade Sati, and yes it SUCKS), though Saturn will be entering Sagittarius next year. Since it is dipping between early Sagittarius and late Scorpio via retrograde motion throughout 2017, how does this affect my sade sati? On one hand, it will conjoin my moon by graha, but there are also periods when it will leave my 8th house, and therefore be in the third phase (the less harsh one) of my sade sati. Do vedic astrologers use orbs for transits, or is Saturn considered to have left it's conjunction with my moon once it is in the next house? Any insight would help guys!
Julia Michas Namaste,Sade Sati in my experience gets worse when Saturn is transiting over the moon and also when Jupiter transits an unfavorable house ,especially from the natal moon sign...So the last couple of years for Scorpio moons might have been real tough generally speaking,November 2019 starts a better phase,especially from January 2020...

Vee Bee It depends on how much confluence is going towards that. When considering what area of life is getting affected, you have to combine, temporal karakas, natural karakas, transits to those houses and planets representing them and planets from those karakas in the birth chart.
Yes it does. My son whom I have a very good relationship with is going thru his Sade sati and all of a sudden he is telling that I just don’t get him and is very distressed and in all aspects with me even though I’m not doing anything differently....really hard for both of us.

Saturn in Aquarius does very well. Need to get into divisionals and aspects aswell. Saturn does well in "bad" houses, I'd say it won't be the hardest of the hardest.

So Sade Sati is counted to be a 7 and 1/2 period when Saturn transits the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the moon sign? Read that on the net. Since Saturn takes 2 and 1/2 years to transit a sign, multiplied by 3, makes 7 and 1/2.

Doesn't have to be the end of you but it might feel like it is. And that you are losing your mind. I have same placement in 5th.

Do effects change if saturn is our darakaraka?
I get confused sometimes by Vedic astrologers. When they are talking about astrological houses, I don't know if they are talking about houses counting from the Moon or from the Ascendant.

Never heard that Sani in 3rd is about servants. With Sidereal I've Sani in 5th yet Tropically 3rd. Hard to tell as I've been in servitude all my life; yet have no kids and have lost on every single speculative investment. Both 5th house matters. Further, no significant savings, close friends, romance or spouse; which appears to reflect Sani in 5th aspecting 7th, 11th and 2nd. And yeah, I'm quite pessimistic and can't seem to decide what to do, still. So combined, it sounds like Sidereal is rather accurate.
I figured that Sani in 3rd would be more along the lines of challenge in communication and problematic sibs (I've no sibs). Perhaps writing potential.
I've endured Sani transiting 12, 1, 2 and is currently in 3rd (Sidereal); now approaching Sade Sati....!! This planet is a "gift" that keeps on giving!! I really see no point in any of this other than being a treadmill/food chain reality. I do not think it's about lessons needing to be learned (if we really are from Source). I think the planets etc, this matrix, simply deals out it's wares and folks project (ie karmic/religious etc ideas) onto them.
Will be interesting seeing what unfolds as Tropically, Moon is conjunct Saturn in Capricorn. Cancer is mostly 9th house so maybe this won't be so bad.
