Hi Ryan, Thanks for the content provided! I am in my Sade Sati phase - started end of 2014. Happened a lot of things. My approach is always optimistic, trying to see the bad as an experience to grow and learn rather than blame others. Becoming superstitious as well and praying a lot to have better moments, specially in my job. Sometimes is sad, want to give up of everything...than I think about being grateful for all the things in my life and gets better.

Nice touch with the "old timey" film look for this saturn segment. In September of 2015 I had an experience in a ceremony of becoming the dark lord Saturn sitting on a throne of nails. The suffering and agony I felt was indescribable. It lead me on a search to make meaning of what that was, what that meant. I had no concept or very little concept of vedic astrology at the time. As I searched, I found the book the Greatness of Saturn. Thank you for talking about this.

so my first sade-sati hit while in Rahu mahadasha.
on the flipside as i can see now looking back, it was a bucket, no, barrel-load of lessons at one go; so it was huge, painful to the extreme, but having learnt the lessons now, i feel empowered by them. my saturn mahadasha starts in 2029, i feel okay for it having learnt compassion and integrity.

I have in my birthchart Moon conjunct Saturn within 3 degrees of each other. I am now 38. Looking back Saturn helped me believe in myself and speak my truth. Tough placement but gets better with age.

I also have the same conjunction in the 9th house of Aquarius.. i am a gemini ascendent. This conjunction has actually resulted in a proclivity towards depression; for me its kind of a lot practicality towards life that divorces me frm happiness. Does it makes sade sati more difficult as i am going to have it next year ???

You are such a great teacher and present in a very pleasing manner. I can see the years of spiritual practice working through you. I love all your videos and learn a lot. Thanks for the books that you have referred. I am starting to read those. I did buy your first book on Vedic astrology as well. I have done courses in Vedic astrology from a couple of people but yet to put more work into it. I am an ayurvedic practitioner and yoga teacher as well and started my own youtube channel to share that ancient wisdom for self healing. Keep up the good work and the wealth of knowledge you share.🙏🏻

Finished my 7 and half years of Sade sati last April, however, due to Saturn's retrograde movement got some extra 7 months until January 2023. My first four years of sade sati were not so bad. But those middle few years were the worst from 2018 to 2020. After that, It got somewhat good. But now it feels worst again. Looks like I haven't learned anything during this time. Thank you for this video

Amazingly put it. Having brought up in Brahmin family I always heard about "Shani Mahatme" book which is same book you mentioned. I never knew it had Saturn's lessons put so well. I should have read it in my teenage and contemplated. Only at Saturn Return, I finally learnt required lessons in a harsh way.

Hi Ryan..thank you for this video and speaking from your heart. Are the effects of Sade Sati different from Saturn mahadasha?

  • @shwetasinghnm
    @shwetasinghnm 5 лет назад +2

I was very confused too when I read the 'Greatness of Saturn'. I just could not understand the king's passive attitude. Was his passivity a sign of surrender? Was it to show that when Saturn is playing its games with you, simply sit back and let it all happen? I really thought that this was the virtue or value we were supposed to learn from 'Greatness of Saturn'. The king wouldn't say that he was a king. Why couldn't he wake up the princess while the duck/bird/peacock was swallowing her necklace? I was so confused. Are we not meant to react at all during Shani sadhe Saati? Is that the virtue?

I'm in my Jupiter mahadasha now, but first of all, looking back on my Rahu mahadasha, I could sum it up as a period of mental anguish, darkness, and needless relationship drama and conflicts, however oddly enough I was blessed with good material fortune during that period. The Rahu/ketu was embarassing, humiliating, and I sustained damage to my career which I am still not fully yet recovered from.

Very reassuring. My sade sati starts within few months. I am currently going through moon mahadasa which will outlast the sate sati period and moon is placed in the 7th house of my birth chart along with retrograde saturn in conjunction. Wondering how this period will turn out for me. Also bad aspects to 7th house from sun in first house and mars in 4th house.
Anyway, excellent talk regarding sade sati.

My moon is in cap, so all my life I've been compassionate and understand for others but I'm having second sade sati, and thankfully I'm in a good dasha🙏🙏, so I'm learning to be selfish instead of self less but I'm always respectful and make sure I'm not the cause of pain to others as it is in my nature. I believe that every one would benefit from having one because we are lacking in compassion as a modern human beings. So far Saturn is only going to be in sag, cap and aqua during my generation so only cap and aqua are a bit lucky because it's not something new for us, we are always getting hit and pushed down anyway.
You made some really good points in your videos and it sounds fairly simple and easy for me personally and thank 🙏

Ryan I thought you had Saturn conjunct with Mars. So are they in Libra? Because you mentioned that Saturn is strong in your chart. I have them in Sagittarius in D1 but Saturn is in Gem & Aqu in D9 & D10. After Saturn Return, my Saturn took over. Till then I felt that its afflicted due to Mars.

lol , obviously if they are homeless, there aren't any resources. Or maybe sade sati took all of their resources away at the time. There's many at the top or living comfortably (with many so-called friends and family) that could never believe they are now homeless or at the bottom and vice versa... And many of them were born in to high self esteem families ... believe it or not lol..

In the presence of the law of food chain, there is no place for the putative karmic laws, even birth after birth. Otherwise every criminal and oppressor would have evolved as saints after their Sadesati period. Saturn just helps to harden, sharpen and balance ourselves with his battering blows even at the cost of the life of the near and dear ones including the beloved spouse/lover too. One who can't take this pressure just perishes in the tidal flow.
