Sounds like Marner and Leafs are far apart.Trade Marner and a prospect Sandin for Flames Tkachuk, Bennet and Mangipane.
Leafs have the money for a big signing bonus that Marner seems not interested in but Tkachuk would jump at that.Calgary needs big signing bonus money to sign Tkachuk.

Babcock doesn't play his centres on the PK. Centres do the heavy lifting down low in both ends. No need to burn them out doing stops and starts on the PK when any 4th liner can do that grunt work.
