It's hard for me to listen to this. I just want to get her home, treat her fever, give her fluids, and put her to bed. Whenever i am trying to explain the essence of Angelina Jordan to people i direct to this video. I explain the reason she sings barefoot and point out her empathy, humility and humanity. Then i show them this video and explain that during this charity event performance she was full of a cold and had a high fever! But because it was a charity event she insisted on going ahead with the performance against Doctors advice. Just for the sake of clarity, this was not a children charity event. It was a Gala to honour local heroes. This was aired on Dec. 12, 2014. I recall one of the honourees was a young girl, who was bullied because of her ethnicity. She stood her grounds against the bullies and started an awareness campaign against bullying . Angelina was echoing most people feelings to the ones who are bullied “just call my name and I’ll be there” Thank you for your beautiful reaction video. She was bullied on her way to school and home. Once at school they pulled her cloths off and threw them in the toilet. She attempted to kill herself when she was 8 years old because of all the hatred , alienation and death threats that she received in her young life. Then one day she decided to confront her bullies. At the age of 14 she started a blog to help others in the same situation and started lecturing about bullying . Her first lecture was at her school in front of her bullies. She is still very active till today.

You can see how sick she is in the close ups she has a fever and she has no nerves about performing so if she is sweating you know she is sick,, but just like when she was 10 years old at Allen Walkers concert she will go on, no matter what!! She did 2 opening songs at Allen Walkers concert with a sore throat and a 102 fever, opened with "SING ME TO SLEEP" then her second song was "Faded"... Young Angelina lived for performing (even sick)

It was an anti bullying charity called "Svenska Hjältar" translated to "Swedish Heroes", She had a bad case of cold here, to the point where her doctor advised her not to sing. @@poolhallshark Hey Shark, you were already on the right track with your timing, but in the wrong time frame (because almost everyone believes it was live when the gala aired on December 12th, but that's not the case). We can all see that when the Swedish Heroes Gala was taped (!) on December 8th (!), she had quite a cold - so bad that it affected her vocal performance. Two days later in Oslo there were still signs of the cold but fading away so she was even able to perform twice in a row - it was only noticeable when she dedicated the performance to the laureates but not in her singing voice.
phs We wouldn't say: "a bad case of cold". Maybe a "bad case of flu" or "...acne" or "....hiccups". The correct way would be simply: "a bad cold"..... Although you might find those who argue the point, "trooper" refers to a soldier or police officer; whereas "trouper" refers to a performer (part of a theatre troupe) who realizes that, regardless of circumstances, "the show must go on"....Getting tired of me yet? ;-)

Not just any shoes, her favorite shoes. Who among us would even think of a gesture such as that. The prayer the the little street girl said for Angelina was really powerful. She knows her blessing and the responsibility that goes with it.
Debbie, I've said it to you before, Angelina is a musical genius at any age. Listening to her most recent releases will in no way diminish her music from the past and your experience, she's to good. As prolific as Angelina was as a child, preteen and teenager, she'll be twenty five years old by the time you catch up. Angelina is a brain breaker at any age. You owe yourself the heavenly pleasure of hearing the most beautiful voice ever.
your about to really get into some good stuff when she turns 10 through 12 her voice really starts to bloom its amazing already but it becomes something unimaginable in a child her age

Whenever i am trying to explain the essence of Angelina Jordan to people i direct to this video. I explain the reason she sings barefoot and point out her empathy, humility and humanity. Then i show them this video and explain that during this charity event performance she was full of a cold and had a high fever! But because it was a charity event she insisted on going ahead with the performance against Doctors advice. I think the fever she had on this performance actually adds to the emotion and message of this song! It really makes me believe that no matter what! She would actually always 'Be There'. Great reaction again dear.

She puts on an amazing performance that will Break your brain again. 😂
Just for the sake of clarity, this was not a children charity event. It was a Gala to honour local heroes. This was aired on Dec. 12, 2014. I recall one of the honourees was a young girl, who was bullied because of her ethnicity. She stood her grounds against the bullies and started an awareness campaign against bullying . Angelina was echoing most people feelings to the ones who are bullied “just call my name and I’ll be there”

In 2014 there were winners in seven categories. The girl you mentioned is Marwa Karim and she was awarded "The Youth Hero". Angelina's performance was dedicated to her.
@@paulwagner9303 yes, her story is very inspiring. She was subjected to bullying because of her appearance and origin. She was called named like Monkey and Hairball. She was bullied on her way to school and home. Once at school they pulled her cloths off and threw them in the toilet. She attempted to kill herself when she was 8 years old because of all the hatred , alienation and death threats that she received in her young life.
Then one day she decided to confront her bullies. At the age of 14 she started a blog to help others in the same situation and started lecturing about bullying . Her first lecture was at her school in front of her bullies.
She is still very active till today.

Yes Debbie, she is 8 here, and incredible good, a musician, a very good one. But keep in mind she has already had 5 years of training, listening to the old stars, studying their ways of performing the songs, and evidently been a great student!

Ridiculously STUNNING, hard to wrap your brain around, her remarkable voice, it's hard to comprehend, SERIOUSLY. It doesn't make sense, right? To see the passion in her facial expressions when she sings and to FEEL every word she means, takes me to a happy place of pure MAGIC. I never want to leave. Oh yeah, she was not feeling well( she had a col) when she sang this song, Dr. advised her not to sing , but she choosed to do it because it was for a Charity. Can we all agree this girl IS something else that touches all of our hearts. They is no one like her EVER. Take it easy on your heart Debbie, cuz she ONLY get better. It's amazing.

You can see how sick she is in the close ups she has a fever and she has no nerves about performing so if she is sweating you know she is sick,, but just like when she was 10 years old at Allen Walkers concert she will go on, no matter what!! She did 2 opening songs at Allen Walkers concert with a sore throat and a 102 fever, opened with "SING ME TO SLEEP" then her second song was "Faded"... Young Angelina lived for performing (even sick)
robert She was also ill when she performed at the 2022 Unforgettable Gala. You can hear the hoarseness when she speaks before singing, and she skipped the high belts in both songs.

Great reaction to this charity event performance. It was an anti bullying charity called "Svenska Hjältar" translated to "Swedish Heroes", She had a bad case of cold here, to the point where her doctor advised her not to sing. But it takes more than a GP to keep her away from an event like this. A trooper of the highest order, with the commitment of a consummate professional 🙂

@@wippletits And if she got sick on the 8th or 9th? Then mild symptoms, not affecting her voice yet might have been present, whereas 3-4 days later it could affect her drastically.
@@poolhallshark Hey Shark, you were already on the right track with your timing, but in the wrong time frame (because almost everyone believes it was live when the gala aired on December 12th, but that's not the case). We can all see that when the Swedish Heroes Gala was taped (!) on December 8th (!), she had quite a cold - so bad that it affected her vocal performance. Two days later in Oslo there were still signs of the cold but fading away so she was even able to perform twice in a row - it was only noticeable when she dedicated the performance to the laureates but not in her singing voice.

phs We wouldn't say: "a bad case of cold". Maybe a "bad case of flu" or "...acne" or "....hiccups". The correct way would be simply: "a bad cold"..... Although you might find those who argue the point, "trooper" refers to a soldier or police officer; whereas "trouper" refers to a performer (part of a theatre troupe) who realizes that, regardless of circumstances, "the show must go on"....Getting tired of me yet? ;-)
