Of course James and Fuhad had to apologise. Their core audience is black women. On top of that, they aren’t an edgy podcast at all, so their audience isn’t primed for those kinds of jokes. So, an edgy joke about black women can easily alienate a very large portion of their audience.
I had no idea that their audience had so many black women. I've seen them on and off for years. Back when they had few subscribers, then they blew up over night. They always seemed like lad-ish humor right in line with Flagrant.
“Edgy”… i promise you Schultz is not “edgy” … black women have heard these types of jokes a million times before. A white guy stereotyping black women isn’t edgy. They didn’t expected James and fuhad to partake in jokes from the 1900s and early 2000s that’s routed in racism. It’s just tiring for them.

I got to disagree with the statement that "you don't have to protect anybody." That's some young guy trying to be "edgy" B.S. Your whole job as a human being is to "protect." You need to protect your image or company, like ShxtsnGigs are finding out. You need to protect your family name. You need to protect your younger (and sometimes older) siblings. Because of this fake construct called "race," you will sometimes need to protect others who look like you. You will sometimes need to protect your culture, if you want to see it survive. You will definitely need to protect your children, your spouse, and your aging parents; that's not negotiable! I don't know what heck happened to you young guys (I'm in my 50s) to make you think that you can avoid these things and still be respected as a functioning adult. Maybe that's why you fall for fake "macho" men like Donald Trump? The real men (and women) from my era and before wouldn't have any respect for you until you grew up and accepted your responsibilities.

@@callumroberts6917 Actually, as a black woman, I have been watching these guys for a long time. All I see atm are three races of men (Italian Jewish, Indian, White American and Afro-Latino) apparently telling black women how they should feel about a very pervasive and very real untrue and unfair stereotype about black women. The irony is very rarely do I see these same ‘jokes’ said about other races of women (Taylor Swift types ect) - but rather praise for her instead. You can have your opinion on ‘jokes’ but humour is subjective so people can equally react differently to what you find funny too. P.s. I think if Alex and Charla weren’t on their podcast consistently, these so-called ‘jokes’ and comments about black women would be considered ignorant and down right racist. I don’t find racism humorous, regardless of what skin colour says it. Maybe you do. Oh and on another note - Akesh (I think that is how you spell it) actually said he has a preference for Indian women because they share a similar culture not to long ago when F&F came on. God forbid, a black guy chooses to like or date black women - maybe to some, we’re not their type and that’s fine. But you can always choose who you are attracted to without shitting on your own race. And no - nobody as an adult black woman needs to infantilise nor protect me and to make it seem like black women, when disagreeing with you, will automatically becomes angry leaves also an unsavoury taste in many black people’s mouths.
Btw - if you pay attention - Akesh got offended facially and verbally when they added on the stereotype of Indian people and scent so what does that say about you as an Indian American ? Could one assume that he would get offended if they said similar ‘jokes’ about Indian women cuz I don’t think it would run over with Akesh or with Alex if they said stereotypes Latin women too. Again - no one needs you to like nor protect black women, that’s one thing we can agree on as many males from said community protect their women’s image to - that is what Fuhad and James were getting at, too, if you listen closely to what they are implying.
Shxtsngigs laughed naturally on that joke, actually found it funny but then HAD to apologise after the backlash from their audience. They knew it was just jokes. If they really found it offensive they wouldnt have laughed at all, fake apology just to keep their fans.
It wasn't a joke. There was nothing clever about it. Andrew was just drawing down on an 80s stereotype, pounding on a group that the internet enjoys pounding on...to this day I don't know why. He was being an internet bully, and if you watch him, the way he stared them down as he came up with his next joke, i think he lightweight set them up. Definitely don't feel sorry for Andrew, because despite all of the laughter and doubling down in this segment, I can tell all of them ( except the coon black man - he just doesnt seem intelligent) seem uncomfortable about this whole thing.
In their apology they said it was like a “flight or fight” moment when the joke was brought up, they didn’t laugh naturally they just didn’t want to make it awkward. After listening to other Black women and reflecting, they’ve realized they were wrong and are owning up and apologizing. Nothing wrong with that

One is an illegal narcotic that decays your body and one is a medication used to treat ADHD symptoms that is even safe for children to take.
Akash said we, Black women, are equal. Statistics don’t show that. Fuhad and James shoulda been honest. They didn’t care cuz they don’t date black women as evident in not answering who they prefer to date. Jokes are definitely jokes but it seems you meant it which is different.
You're partially right but also a huge part of comedy is inappropriateness. To pretend otherwise is absolutely delusional. It is one of the most basic forms of humour. Wit, puns, sarcasm, inappropriateness are the pillars of comedy. However, simply saying inappropriate stuff for the sheer F of it is not very funny. It still needs some clever element.
if you a real longtime viewer even if you watched a couple episodes you would know the sincerity and genuineness behind all of these guys on the couch, they were born and live to entertain and they do it so well, any hate or slander about racism is totally misplaced, andrew schulz was the first ever comic i watched on RUclips and I saw him do crowd work and his knowledge about race is extremely extensive. He goes through all of the trouble to make sure he is well educated not only in the culture, but as much as local culture, he does not just graze the surface he truly does gracefully make jokes that are not only relatable through race, but are outright hilarious. if you take offense to any of these jokes, you haven’t listened long enough or you have a victim complex, they are comedians and why cancel people for laughing at a joke, way worse things happen in the world and are happening right now, use that energy elsewhere, we got wars going on we have genocides going on, please pull your attention to that rather than a light blatant joke aimed at making you laugh maybe make the world less shitty by bringing a little fun into a bland day, keep it flagrant fr
ANDREW SHULTZ?? "Well-educated in the culture?" "GRACEFUL?!" is this irony? you can't be serious. 🤣🤣🤣 I watched Andrew repeatedly on Brilliant Idiots. Andrew repeatedly had sophomoric and basic-white-boy takes on black culture the comments REPEATEDLY flamed him and begged Charlamagne to shut him TF up. So many black people hated his ass. Specifically because he has very loud, obnoxious opinions on topics he is doesnt understand. And he talks over people who know better. So this ENTIRE sentence: "He goes through all of the trouble to make sure he is well educated not only in the culture, but as much as local culture, he does not just graze the surface he truly does gracefully make jokes that are not only relatable through race, but are outright hilarious"
Whats more concerning is the Flagrant podcast stance. Months ago @freshandfit podcast was demonized for their “Dabble in the dark” joke but in the same breath Andrew and the team can talk about the “Black Women Effect” Both joke are cut from the same stereotype, so if one is funny so is the other.
You guys are clueless!!! You can’t insult your core audience! Black women are not Flagrants audience but ShitzxGigz audience is who???? It was NOT funny and they had to apologize. All your micro aggression works great with your audience but not with theirs.
And as a black woman from the very sensitive and very easily offended community that is being told by four non- black women how I should think and feel is very funny, too, wouldn’t you agree ? 👍🏾 😅😊

Thinking that listening to someone provide info should be ignored because of their job, is even crazier.. The 9/11 "weapons of mass destruction" lies was first exposed to me by comedians.. The best thing about people's words & info, you can read more & research it yourself.. in fact when cnn tells you what orange man said & how terrible it is, then you watch him directly, you'll find many times they are not the same.. what he says is not what opponents media quotes.. the info, can be twisted or cut short.. so to say comedians can't have info, implies that only your approved info givers aka non comedians are allowed give info...
It's so CRINGE how these 3 goons fake laugh and pretend to be interested and overwhelmed with everything Andrew says 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬 Their fake reactions are crazy 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shxts N Gigs having to apologise is such bullshit. On Flagrant EVERYONE catches jokes and it’s never serious/personal or deep. It just so happens a bunch of people who never watch flagrant saw a clip and chose to be outraged. Apologising for a joke you didn’t even make is shocking 😂

As someone who was at the Dallas show, id been upset if I learned Mark wasnt there.

It wasn't a joke. There was nothing clever about it. Andrew was just drawing down on an 80s stereotype, pounding on a group that the internet enjoys pounding on...to this day I don't know why.
