This is amazing. I’ve always wanted to fully read this but it’s so much easier to digest in audio format, and I love that I can doze off to it and pick up where I leave off the next night
I have a similar situation. For quite some time, I have been listening to various YT very gentle rain or flowing water, or Joseph Prince's Scripture reading, or 432 Hz gentle tones for sleep. I agree with those that say listening to this at 75% playback speed is better, and for me, the deep, gentleman's voice that gave the intro would be much more soothing and relaxing. This is an interesting concept.
This is just a Librabox recording. It’s audiobooks read by volunteers that are in the public domain. This isn’t his website or whatever the gentleman is at the beginning of this video. That’s why it’s not intended to be sleepy stories. It’s just repackaged.
This speed isn't a problem if I listen to it during the day because I am happy to expend the effort to concentrate. But it's too fast (a common problem with LibriVox recordings) to be able to listen to in a more relaxed way when I am trying to sleep and not trying to concentrate.
Great male voice exactly what I was looking for but I want it to be like you're reading to me in bed. Slow calm soothing not fast paced like we are in full work mode. I want to fall asleep with a handsome male voice that is not too high not too deep and not doing ASMR but also not talking fast.

He does actually acknowledge that in the beginning though, so he’s not trying to pass this off as his own or anything.

Would only listen to this during the day way too fast for nighttime. Otherwise, it is very good.
Agree 100%.
You can slow the speed, just select the sprocket.

Thanks for letting me know!. I agree that librivox recordings are normally a bit fast for sleep. I'll put a slower version on the to-do list!
I listen to it at 75% speed. Perfect.
