Wong explained when he first showed up in Jen's office why he went through the legal system. If he dealt with Donny on his own, it would stop Donny, but if he goes through the law, it sets a precedent that prevents *anyone* from misusing the mystic arts ever again.
First time I’ve seen someone point this out. Yes Wong can do whatever he wants but this is a lawyer show and he specifically mentioned his intent to set a precedent (entire bedrock of the judicial system). So many people have said Wong could just take care of him with his own sling ring and sure, but again - lawyer show

@@py16667 that's a huge problem with a lot of complaints about the past d+ shows. I regularly watch reactions and people question/critique things that were explained and shown on screen. People just don't pay attention
@@oksobasicallyimmonky very true for some other channels. They are also focusing on giving a genuine reaction and miss things innocently. However Jay and Adam are not toxic and won’t care about being “corrected” - if you can even call it that.

Madisynn and Wong should get a spinoff. Like, a buddy cop show. He has to investigate magic crimes, and Madisynn just ends up through funny circumstances as his partner. Every episode starts and ends with them watching TV

I still think the most unbelievable thing in all the Marvel shows is how that guy could get lucky with SHE-Hulk, a superhero, and then wake up to cute, adorable, intelligent Jen Walters and be actually disappointed? Like WHAT THE HELL!?!? Actually now that I think about it it's not that unbelievable because some dudes are that stupid. Lol

So apparently Donny Balze's hype man is 104 which is actually kinda of amazing seeing how I thought he was at most late 70's. Good on ya man!!!! Loving this series more every week and can't wait for tomorrow's episode

I can kinda get the doctor being weirded out in the morning. He went on a date with someone, slept with them, then in the morning they have physically transformed into a different person. Even if that different person is great, it would still throw you for a loop.

When they were sat on the couch he was literally saying how much it must have been a bummer for her to have her boss make her change into She-Hulk in the office for her job. So it absolutely should not have been a surprise for him to see normal Jen.

I can understand the doctor more than I can the guy who matched with Jen. Say the doctor is into muscular, bodybuilder type physique, then Jen would not be his type. Andy can even be not just physically because on the date is she-hulk, Jen was a little more confident. It doesn't excuse his acting like an ass in the morning. But just because someone is beautiful doesn't mean that they're everybody's type. And we have to acknowledge that as well.

Like you get drunk and go home with a girl, and then wake up and noticed she's totally different than the person you went home with. But to me i don't drink, and i'm not that shallow. But still some guys and girls do this and it turns into a one night stand.

Supposedly the end credits bit was an in joke about Benedict Wong. Apparently the guy has a habit of talking to people about random food related things and bringing conversations around to food.

I really love the “case of the week” feel of the show. It really allows the writers to just go nuts. I mean I never really thought about how the revelation of real sorcery would pretty much ruin the “magic” industry. And I’ll take any excuse to see more of Wong, he really is (as Jen perfectly said) twitter armor.
And as a man in his early 30’s I completely agree with Jen that dating in your 30’s SUCKS!!!!!! And while she may not have gotten a boyfriend at least she had sex with an infuriatingly good looking doctor. Though I’m genuinely surprised he was able to walk the next morning. He should’ve had at least a crushed pelvis, like the Amazon planet episode of Futurama, full Death By Snu Snu! Look it up.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also for people complaining that this show is nothing but filler, THAT’S THE POINT!!!! It’s Ally McBeal in the MCU, a lawyer sitcom, it has never claimed to be anything else. You don’t hear people complaining when they watch Seinfeld or Friends that the “overall plot” isn’t going anywhere.

All week I have been saying I want Wongers and Madisynn hanging out to be an ongoing bit for the rest of the MCU. I also would love to see her and her making her way through battlefields and strange planets and random scenes kinda like the old Stan Lee cameos. She is clearly able to handle herself, came out of hell without a scratch and someone else’s heart in her hand…and Wongers needs someone with whom to hang out and binge watch tv.

I said the same exact thing in a Marvel chat group I am in. For the rest of the MCU want and Madisynn need to be like best buds. Just people that appreciate each others company. They will have a movie and see her in the background and stuff. “Oh I have a meeting to get to” and you see her walking around with a bowl of popcorn and at some point there is a fight and in the background you just see her kicking some casual ass and then waves at Wang.

Since Wong said he wanted to make an example of Donny, I always saw him going through the legal system as the ultimate way to discourage anyone else from attempting something as dangerous as him ever again. Them winning could show people it's not worth it. Especially since, at this moment in time their doesn't seem to be any legal action available for magic or super powers in general. It's the first step towards laws for superpowers. Just like Jen, introducing the bands that Banner wears to government for use on Abomination, could eventually be used on X- Men in the future as a way of control.
Wong Cinematic Universe, Phase Wong, Wongers!!! Ain't no way Jen looking like she does doesn't get a single damn match/date :) Good to see former WWE Wrestler & Attorney David Otunga (Jennifer Hudson's ex-husband)! Jen's VFX in the dating/fight scenes were noticeably better! Think the budget/time for her VFX went to certain scenes they thought was needed the most which is why they probably should have limited her appearances in She-Hulk form by having her only as Jen when she's 'lawyering' and then saving her as She-Hulk for the dating/action scenes. Donny Blaze actor Rhys Coiro aka Billy Walsh from Entourage aka the director Kat Coiro's husband was very good, and Madisynn is so the Zoey Deutch character from Zombieland: Double Tap :)

Theory: Madisynn is an alias for Madisynn's real identity, Sinthea Shmidt, daughter of Johann Shmidt, the Red Skull, whose alter ego is Sin. Sin despised her father and her mother died in childbirth. She was also a prisoner of SHIELD at one point. Who better to have on group full of antiheroes than someone with a vendetta against SHIELD? She is an expert at hand to hand combat and proficient with firearms and explosives. I could see them potentially bring a character like this in the Thunderbolts, even if not a part of the immediate roster. I believe she just acts like a ditsy drunk to throw everyone off her scent and she's actually really smart.

The thing about Wong making Donny just disappear is that sure he could but it would be a pretty extreme punishment for someone that might not do anything bad and would mean he’d have to keep doing it every time someone used magic irresponsibly whereas setting a legal precedent allows people to be punished accordingly and saves Wongs time

The bad date that was asking all the questions REALLY feels like he has "the Boss's" cell number.
Look closely when Madisynn spells her name in court. You can see the defense lawyer scratching something out on his pad and writing more. He thinked the "Y" in the wrong place!
In a Cinematic Universe where people have actual superpowers, the mist unbelievable thing they have done so far is trying to convince us that a well-to-do lawyer who looks like Tatiana Maslany would not get one Swipe on Tinder.
I'd love for the next episode to be Jen helping Madisynn with her contract with "Jake". Also, pay close attention to the end credits artwork. That "courtroom sketch" of Madisynn and "Jake" might end up being a much bigger deal later on if there is a reveal or two.

I have wanted to see a more comics-accurate line-up of the MCU Defenders (Dr. Strange, Sub-Mariner, Hulk, Valkyrie, etc), but now I really hope this episode is the beginning of the MCU Defenders Non-Team, with Sorcerer Supreme Wong and She-Hulk teaming up more often, with Valkyrie and Namorita joining later on.
