I collect 1/6 scales figures, i just prefer them because they take less space,are less expensive and you can pose them the way you want.

I feel as though they're just two different classes. Figures are where you start out but eventually if you keep leveling and going statues is where you end up if you don't quit collecting before then.

The paint jobs on Hot Toys Iron Man figures beats most of even the “high end” statues.

Ugh another expensive hobby for me 1/6 scale pieces, just started. Started with baseball cards, then video games, then sports cars, then sports memorabilia pieces, then model cars, then Star Wars pieces, now Hot Toys and 1/6 scale pieces. My MAN Cave is running out of space! The garage is filled too with my cars. I need to stop, but your collections inspire me. Great video guys!

I've ordered the recent Mandalorian and baby yoda special edition hot toys set. And It Is an awesome duo set to have in any collectors cabinet. Ive also ordered thanos and venomPool.. So i can't wait to review them on my channel. i personally love sideshow collectors items. You can't go wrong with them. When sideshow have managed to create a decent head sculpt. I have pre ordered a head sculpt from an outside company. I did this with the infinity ironman suit. I added the battle damaged tony head sculpt to that figure an by damn its awesome.

I collect more 1/6 figures with one Statue (Superman: Call to Action). I honestly like both, but I find figures more affordable for me at the moment. l'm moving to a new place that's small and I don't like clutter, so I actually want to mix the two and provide a theme, which can benefit from a few figures and statues.
In the future, when I have a house with ample space, I would like to display more themes with figures and statues.
So I'm more about how do these items complement the dwelling you live in. I think it has to blend well in the household. If it doesn't to a big extent, I'd rather invest in bigger space to provide more self expression. I hope this doesn't sound confusing.

I have a mix of both I started with hot toys then went crazy with statues and now kind of going to replicas and statues again just got the regal robot Star Wars hollow chess set big $$$$

High end Statues are really expensive...and do takes space.
What if a statue company made a spiderman 3 no way home with all 3 spidermans unmasked with flying landing pose😏
Hot toys action figures are more like action statue.
It has Good details like statue and we can display with different position anytime

I had statues until a guest came over and broken all but one when they accidentally fell into the display. Figures are a little more durable in case a moron decides to visit!

Sometimes insurance is key. In case that fails a shovel and the back yard Is a good backup plan.
Statues are now better than Hot Toys when it comes to head sculpts as well as paint apps, just look at JND Studios and infinity Studios and Queen Studios, Hot Toys are not the big cheese that they used to be as statues have taken over, even some Hot Toys collectors are leaving Hot Toys and now collecting Statues as statues have come along way now and I collect Hot Toys and Statues and I like both but there is one thing that Hot Toys is better than statues and that is, you can pose your Hot Toys figures and create your own fantasies as with statues the fantasy is already created for you by the artist and you can't pose them that's the downfall with statues but the good thing about statues is, they have presence which Hot Toys figures just don't have so both have there pluses and minuses.
There's a difference between collecting and hoarding...it's real, most "collectors" on RUclips and the Facebook groups are hoarders, period. I can see a RUclips who has a channels doing reviews and what not, having just about everything that comes out because it's their channel's inventory, but everybody else is just hoarding
I wish Sideshow would decide if they want to do a 1/4 scale or 1/5 scale definitive line for Star Wars statues. Then and only then would I move on from Hot Toys.

Hot Toys are FAR BETTER!!! They have the quality of statues in terms on sculpts and paint apps. Plus the cloths themselves are a work of art. And you can pose them differently. And chances are if the happen, knock on wood, fall 4 or 5 feet from your case they probably won't break like a statue would. But statues are pretty damn cool to! If I had a gun to my head and I had to pick only one statue as my favorite that's easy, Sideshows Premium Format General Grievous.
I came here through the Batman Statue Collector video. Great to see what other figure collector’s there are besides statue collector’s. I didn’t even know what Hot Toys were. I won’t collect them though ‘cause I hate cloth.
I recently started statues because my comic book collection is complete, lol. A collector is a collector for life I guess.
