Apparently they arrived to a peaceful Earth, probably in the end of TF VI ORN War -Galaxy Fed. sent them to a suicide mission, but they still want to recover contact with G.F. -And Vasteel tech finally fused with Galaxy Federation tech?? They built a new Fire-Leo Styx/Rynex fighter Probably these questions will never be answered due to the fate of Technosoft, R.I.P
How long did Carol and Roy drift in space just after Vios' destruction is unknown. Cryogenic properties ? I don't know. The Galactic Federation did send them on a suicide mission, but back then, they had no choice because of what Faust could do. As of the fusion between the Galactic Federation's technology and Vasteel, it is not. Because Vasteel has always been part of the Galactic Federation. But not the United Government of Earth (which created the Thunder Force 222 Unit. The same unit Cenes Crawford was applied before she died permanently against the Khaos-possesed Guardian.)
To the Galactic Federation, Rynex is still called Fire LEO 04 "Rynex", but for Earthlings, Rynex is known as "Vastian Steel", or "Vasteel" for short. Why? Watch the intro from Thunder Force V. It'll be a lot more clear.
@@byonemesis Ah of course, my head skipped that Vasteel technology is just reverse-enginered tech from the Galaxy Federation thanks to Guardian, so both Fighter frames are similar, if not identical. I still think in the cryo sleep theory, otherwise Mars and Mercury would have died many years ago inside Rynex canopy from starvation or freezing. Galaxy Federation motives still are a bit suspicious.... That leaves us with the new Fire-Leo fighter from the end, but that is the ultimate Tecnosoft/Sega mystery

But Khaos' creators may have rebelled against the Federation, as it has been heavily implied that they gave it the idea to exterminate the entire humanity from the Milky Way. Which would explain and cause the events of every Thunder Force.

Not really...there was a program called Circulate Death. This was mentioned in the files in Thunder Force V. That's how Cenes' clone was "born".
And as of ORN, they may have hacked the databanks, that's the only explanation for Faust to have been able to change into ORN Gauntlet.
