      @@jaycowper yeah he probably confused the notes or something since aventus cologne has both sandalwood and tonka bean which classiv aventus doesnt. But he seemed to f up a little more than just aventus notes. He also doesnt seem to know that GIT is way more popular than Viking. If anything viking is more of a hidden gem than GIT. GIT is probably the second most popular creed along silver mountain water.

    Creed makes some quality fragrances, but most of them are still considered very 'mature' for most people under 45. They remind us of something our grandfather would wear to church on Sunday. There are a few exceptions, but scents like Viking, GIT (to a point), Royal Oud/Water and most others just feel...dated. Sure Aventus came out and was, and maybe still is, king, but the world is moving past it now. And even the sweeter scents (VIW, MI, etc) have a very limited fan base.
    Their latest attempts to appeal to the younger crowd, with the cologne formulations of Aventus and Viking, are still quality and imbue some pep to established accords...but definitely aren't strong enough to justify the cost. Aventus Cologne, specifically, is a skin scent within a few hours, and just a subtle vanilla note at that. That's not worth $350, or even the $250 from online discounters.

    • @REDEMPIRECM
      @REDEMPIRECM 2 года назад +1

      Mature as in 30+, not 45+ lol. Aventus, original santal, original vetiver, Viking Cologne, Virgin Island Water, Royal Oud all very classy and or fun in a modern way. Creed has some old fashioned stuff like viking, royal mayfair, green irish tweed and Bois du Portugal but that’s like 20-30% of their offerings. Most of creeds currently sold lineup is very contemporary imo.

    Let’s be honest Robin. This house is WAY overpriced. Yes, for the most part the fragrances are pleasant but generic, watered down and forgettable . If you are paying a premium price then you should get a premium product. Not so with Creed, at least not anymore. If you want pleasant, long lasting scents that use quality ingredients, you are better of spending your hard earned cash on houses like Parfums de Marley, Xerjoff, Initio and Frederic Malle. . .

    I'm not gonna lie, but with Creed's fragrances getting more watered down with each batch while the price keeps getting hiked up, they're a hard pass for me. Especially with the fact that some clone houses have become better at making Creed fragrances than Creed. At fraction of the price. The Creed family sold their fragrance brand for a reason.
