Savage Starlight Costume Set (you get a pistol and rifle skin along) is awesome! You get it from No Return Strategy to get it: You need to clear the 3 other challenges first. To get the set you need to unlock all 6 ranged weapons Ellie can get in ONE run (any order): - Pistol (default) - Revolver (8 coins) - Shotgun (10 coins) - Rifle (10 coins) - Bow (12 coins) - Submachine Gun (15 coins) In order to do so you should unlock a few things first (just do some runs): - Custom Run (MOST HELPFUL) - Gambits (for extra coins) - Dead Drops (for free weapons and recipes) GAMBITS are little challenges during an encounter (e.g. kill 2 enemies with headshots, kill highlighted enemy first etc.) that give you extra coins. DEAD DROPS spawn randomly during encounters (not every encounter). At the start of an encounter, press R1 and you will see its position (if spawned). Move there and check the requested items (e.g. a medpack or a molotov and a shiv etc.). Craft the stuff if needed and drop em in the dead box. After the encounter you will be rewarded with a weapon or a recipe. The TRADING POST after the encounter is your main source of new weapons. Sadly it doesn't offer ranged weapons all the time. The last selection there however allows you to reroll the selections for 3 coins. Use it only if you have enough coins left after to buy a weapon. CUSTOM RUNS allow you to adjust the runs to your advantage with a wide variety of options. Personally, I recommend light difficulty and the following settings: MECHANICS: - Only Assault (3 waves of enemies, prep time in between) - Gambits on - All Mechanics - Game Timers: Longest (45secs at start and after a wave gives you plenty of time to collect resources and use the dead drop (if spawned) ENEMIES: - Factions: Only WLF and Seraphites - Bosses: Only Arcade Bloater - Enemy Types: Dogs and Chained Infected off MODS: - General: Mods on and Max Mod Count - Toggle Mods: Only helpful mods on RANDOM SEED: not needed With these settings and making full use of gambits and dead drops, your chances to succeed collecting all 6 weapons in one run are pretty high. Overall it feels like Abby and Ellie have a hoard of boring filler outfits, mixed in with skins they already wear in game that we should’ve been able to customize them to wear From the beginning with 2 or 3 exclusive ones that are actually visually interesting and not just a different t shirt While every other playable character has 2 or 3 outfits that we already see them wearing in game that really give no motivation to work for unlocking (especially Dina, no Farm outfit? No nighttime farm outfit or Seattle jacket outfit? Really?) I think if they added a few more playable characters (Owen, Maria, Nora) and maybe some playable ones from pt1 (Tess, Bill, Marlene) along with at least 1 unique outfit for each character that hasn’t been seen before and is original (like 80s Abby, Starlight Ellie, astronaut Ellie, ect) then this game mode would REALLY be worth it And it’d be possible for them to include more characters, considering the amount of leftover assets from the part 1 remake, along with the fact that every character just re-uses Ellie Abby and Joel’s animations,
I’m happy with this update, but still some of the choices that they make baffles me. Like why is pregnant Mel playable, but not Owen who literally has Firefly soldier training. I do find it kinda cool though with Yara you have a companion. Hopefully they update this with one more character on each side, Owen for Abby’s crew and maybe Maria(I’ll like to see how she plays). Also make it where you could toggle if you want a companion or not and you get to pick them out too. 👍🏽💯💯💯

Help🙏 How do I equip skin to my characters? I've played through no return with Joel and unlocked some skins but when I start a new game with him the skins are locked??
I'd love to play as non muscled Abby. I know it is weird to punch people with skinny arms but it also does not have to be logical because these are extra skins after all. We can wear an astronaut skin so non muscled abby as we see on the flashbacks wouldn't be a problem.

If you played the original game and you have save files either on your PS5 or saved in the cloud, at the main menu head to “Story” then “Import Game.” This will show you all the save files available to you and you can choose a completed game save file which will bring all of your achievements and points and it will give you access to New Game + and some of the new skins immediately. You do need to play the new return mode to unlock other skins and upgrades.

Because combat animations for Mel were available from the game, but Owen is never seen fighting. Same reason you don’t see Maria.
