    You forgot to add you could get feedback in your HA when your date gives you a hug. I also get feedback whenever the notification alarm (which is a high pitched singy-songy type sound) goes off on the dryer.

    Thanks very much for your videos, of which I have watched quite a few of them. I am just starting on the hearing aid journey, having been diagnosed with hearing loss, especially on the left side. I took the hearing test from Costco and looked over their very few choices for rechargeable HAs. I am in London, Canada so the prices are substantially more expensive in Canada than they are in the USA.

    I bought a pair of the “ in the ear” hearing aid. Every time I tried to insert the device, the feedback noise deafening my ears. When I simply touched them they shrieked. Noe of your suggestion seemed to work, according to you, theses device might have the internal problems. The hearing loss problem seems to be more complicated than any explanations out there. You’re right, so much deception in this area. Appreciate your talks

    Hey Doc, I just recently had another hearing test (been a little over a year). It was determined that my hearing had changed and they adjusted my HA (programing). I've noticed the whistling/feedback going on since then. It also happens when I put it in my charger. This has NEVER happened for the first plus year, I've had it!! Could it be programmed too loud?? I guess I'll be going back to see what it is.🤦‍♀️
    Anyway, love your videos!! They have helped me tremendously since getting SSHL!! Thank you for helping me be "in the know" and not so ignorant as to, what to know and expect!!❤

    I have a problem. I just started wearing Phonak hearing aid for the first time. In the past I wore Starkey hearing aids. These new ones have been giving me a lot of trouble. Between me wearing glasses with a lot of whistling noise and it won’t stop and I have tried changing my glasses and it still doesn’t help. My old hearing aids I never had any problems with this. What can be the cause of this? I also have been going to my doctor with other issues one is that my ear canal has got much smaller, I mean tiny. I’m a 55 year old male and over the years my ear canal has gotten smaller. I don’t know if this is the problem. What would you recommend?

    Hey Doc, I'm new to hearing aids I have over the ear receiver. I know one wire is one is short, and one is longer. I can never figure out how to put the ear grip into the bowl of my tiny ears. I also wear glasses. The feedback is mainly in the right hearing aid. Wasn't like it until today. I don't have my next appointment until August 18th. She never taught me yet to clean them.

    I have been getting feedback only out of my right hearing aid but not sure why,.. i know it’s not the domes, not the wires, because the domes are fitting fine,.. the wires are the right size and the left one is not giving me feedback and the sound quality is amazing other than the feedback in the right side,.. my audiologist said my microphones are fine, there wasn’t any wax in my ear, but if i have fluid behind my eardrum from my allergies, can that cause feedback? Again, it’s only my right one and not the left,..

    .Reason 11, perhaps? Having the volume turned up too high when inserting HAs. I haven't had that problem with my Phonak Marvels, which are set by my iPhone app, but did occasionally with my previous non-Bluetooth aids.

      Have you had congestion? Sometimes if I have a cold it settles in my ears. A good decongestant to clear the fluid usually fixes the problem.

    • @zqueen1237
      @zqueen1237 4 года назад

      Pamela Potter well I was
      told that my left nostril was swelling and I never noticed because my nose being stopped up felt kinda normal to me idk why but they told me I needed nasal spray and I used it to help but it was not much of a difference in my ear.

    • @1SapphireBlue
      @1SapphireBlue 3 года назад

      Hi Queen, I agree with trying decongestion. Maybe instead of using nasal spray try Breathe Right strips. You put them on the outside of your nose and the pull your nasal passages open. There are hearing tests that you can do on your phone. I did mine in a closet. It showed mild hearing loss. I had a hearing test at the audiologist and I have severe hearing loss and wear hearing aids now. Try to not worry about going deaf overnight. It is very gradual. Try to not think about it at night and lose sleep. I started taking slow release Melatonin and am sleeping like a baby now. I wish you the best!

    I know that it is not the best place to ask such a question but I just cannot find answer anywhere else. Does anyone know how long typically lasts Phonak Audeo Marvell powered by battery type 312? I normally use quite a lot bluetooth connection (watching Netflix or Spotify) - about 4 to 5 hours a day. In such conditions rechargable version lasts 15-17 hours. I'm curious if battery version lasts at least 2 days with heavy use of BT.
