When I wear my colognes, I always wear according to the weather. If it’s summer time, I prefer the clean, fresh, light citrus scent. When it’s cold, I go with the dark, cedar wood, pepper, tobacco scented ones.
Jeremy army here :D And he says 3-5 sprays is the right chose: One behinde each Ear, one in your neck, when you go out and want more, then put 2 more sprays on your Chest (Left/Right)
Hey, perfumer here, I recommend that you use more than 3-5, and only apply to pulse points or clothing, it’s better to have people smell you a lot than not at all, and remember, fragrance is no substitute for a shower!
After getting my first cologne a few months ago, I have been getting compliments on how I smelt nice. It was a much needed confidence booster given my *extremely* low self-esteem, which is on suicidal levels of low (Not an exaggeration). Cologne is definitely something worth getting, even if it doesn't seem like much!
@munem939 Appreciate the transparency, suicide is a real thing... and while u don't know me from Adam if u ever need someone to talk to I'm here if u it!
This is one area where I'm completely in control. I've got 45 of my own and I rotate every week. Fragrances are a subjective thing and you have to go and test to find out what you like. La Nuit de L'homme was the first fragrance I ever bought and stands out with it's Lavender and Cardamom sexiness. My spray routine is behind my two ears and back of my neck. Good video Aaron but a bonus rule: "Make sure you wear fragrances that compliment your surroundings".
Hello Aaron & gentleman, I hope no one minds if I add to this subject, I love fragrances and have picked up quite a lot of knowledge from a lot of men and women who work in the fragrance industry. One of the most sexiest aspect about a man is when he knows how to wear a fragrance. All fragrances have what is called a Sillage which means how far the fragrance can be smelled from the body. The Strength of a fragrance is how strong smelling it is. And the Longevity means how long on the body it will last. A frangrance will last longer on oily skin. Always test the fragrance first before you buy, store ALL your fragrances in a cool dark dry place because heat and moisture will change the liquid on a molecular level and may not last as long. Especially if it is highly concentrated and expensive. I agree with Aaron that they should be applied after the shower but, wait for your skin to dry a little. Always apply them prior to getting dressed and I have also found that the best places have been where you will perspire. Like right above your bellybutton, the back of the neck, chest. No more than two sprays and remember what type of place you will be going. No one wants to be eating your cologne..lol Be responsible with fragrances because a lot of people are sensitive. Women also like having to smell a man when we get a hug because that means that getting close is the only way to smell how sexy you are. Hope this info helps ❤
@@minimanukuk guilty 😬 I spray enough to smell it the following day, if I can't smell it the day after then I probably won't buy unless its a super attractive
Thanks alpha for finally saying it’s AFTER moisturizing, all these pro fragrance channels keep skipping that, it’s common sense I know but we know sense isn’t common so every little detail matters. Great video.
I was literally looking for my first fragrance in the store, decided i needed more info, and my man alpha m comes out with the perfect video, the universe wants me to use edtoilette i guess
Toilette means grooming/styling. In my country we call the dresser like that. Its the same word for toilet so its a bit confusing but that's how it is here :D
Ricardo Daniels tiege hanley is a brand that makes moisturizers and man products and thats his go2 brand for everything face care, body care , etc and almost every sponsor on his video is tiege hanley, so People make jokes about it, hope this was a good explanation
Besides the Aventus, the ones you mentioned are good for the cooler/colder times ( like now, Fall/Winter ) 7:57 YES... Golden ( I never tried vaseline way, just the lotion. A must especially when it's colder cuz the fragrances dry your skin out ) A good way to remember how much to apply, the strong it is, the less you apply. (fall/winter) The lighter it is, the more you can apply. (Spring summer )
My go-to collection: 1. Armani 2. Burberry 3. Hugo Boss 4. D&G Pro tip: Squirt once, near the throat (I go underside of jaw, where the beard grows), layer a different scent the next day, no sooner than that. Wash after layering a pair, and start a new combination. Six different combinations to cycle. You may even discover the best combination that will work with your individual body chemistry.
I think another thing to remember is the seasons. Certain fragrances are good for only spring, summer same for winter/fall since our body chemistry changes. It will impact the longevity and the distance it reaches others.
As a formal graduate from modelling school, in my decades of experience the most unique and outstanding fragrance for men is Chanel Pour Monsieur. Not only has it stood the test of time, being created by Henri Robert in 1955, but it also is available as an underarm deodorant, so you need not worry about your deodorant smelling different/layering to your cologne.
1. Concentration doesnt always deliver performance, for example : Dior sauvage edt performs as well if not better than edp or parfum. Most tom ford freshie last about 3 hours eventhough its edp 2. Fragrancenet is legit, buy from them but expect slow shipping (2 weeks) 3. His recommendation are good, but its very played out meaning there are lots of people who smells like you. Shop and test around, theres alot of good affordable scents out there that smells as good and interesting 4. Spraying your clothes are good sometimes, it helps your fragrance stay and lingers way longer than your skin, regardless of pulsepoints or not. Just make sure its not a bright color piece or it can be stained. 5. Dont spray your neck, you go noseblind to the fragrance very fast, sprays the back of your ears and it will performs the same way, plus leaving a good trail behind your back while not making you noseblind Take it from a fragrance snob :)
Excellent tips. I have given up on trying to pronounce the names of these colognes so you are not alone on that one brother. YSL is fantastic and I actually ordered a couple fragrances from FragranceNet. Excited to wear them for the fall\winter season.
I wear fragrance all the time from the unknown to the big name brands. I always get good comments about the smells. But when asked about the brand or name of the fragrance, I never tell. It's my pleasure to wear, not for others to copy
Guys, Eau De Parfums are not always stronger than an Eau De Toilette. The best thing you can do is sample colognes and see what lasts longest on you, it varies Cologne to cologne.
Hello, perfumer here! I can confirm this, the strength of a fragrance is more dependent on the essential oils/aromachemicals used, for example, woods will last longer than citrus, and aromachemicals will (usually) last longer than essential oils!
I have quite a bit of experience with fragrances, so here's a closer look at Alpha's recommendations: Creed Aventus: Smoky, rich, woody, with a fruity opening. Probably the most complimented men's fragrance on the market. Dior Sauvage: Ambroxan bomb, but smell extremely good. Huge compliment getter. La Nuit De l'Homme: Spicy, lavender and cardamom fragrance. Smells seductive and masculine. Acqua Di Gio Profumo: Alpha didn't mention he meant the 'Profumo' version. Great aquatic fragrance with a darker, richer touch to it. Tom Ford Tobacco Oud: Very polarising fragrance. You either love it or you hate it. If you do love it, it smells like a richer tobacco scent. Truly masculine. Montblanc Legend: Fresh, light, and slightly fruity. Quite linear, yet very pleasant.
Awesome video Aaron, I have Hugo Boss Energize, Jpg Ultra Male and Le Male, Dior Sauvage, Di Gio Profumo, Boss the Scent Private Accord, Zara Silver Edition(wow a nice cheap scent) and Armani Stronger With You Intensely.
I have Dakar, Fahrenheit, Polo classic, eternity, and cool water. I live in a tropical climate, so I wear the muskier scents in rainy season (May to Septemer) and the sweeter ones in the dry season (mid January to April) . Cold season I use all varieties (October to mid January). Only 1 spray on the chest and wipe my wrist to the chest after I spray.
Good timing as I am in a switch to my fall scents. I like a scent per season. More spices during the winter and more light fresh during the summer. My recommendation of course!
I will comment later. I am in the hospital my cousin brother swallowed a 16gb memory card and he is singing all songs in it..we just pray it doesn't reach video folder
Also if you’re a person who often in physical contact with others then you should spray once on one of your wrists and then put other wrist agianst the sprayen one. Press them togheter, don’t rub them, press them together. I asked a lady who worked at a perfume/stylist or something and when i asked How you should apply parfumes/callougnes you shouldn’t rub them together because it’ll break the molekular Bond that made the parfume smell good in the first place. You should press them togheter until they dry. If you press, the smell will last longer compared to if you had robbed it. Just something that i wanted to tell
Finally stepping up my cologne game. Got 5 variations ordered. 1.) Versace Eros 2.) Jean Paul Gaultier 3.) Versace Dylan Blue 4.) De Marly Layton 5.) F Black by Ferragamo Pour Homme Still looking to buy some YSL and Sauvage Dior. Also gonna eventually get the Tom Ford Tobacco. Most my life is spent over the road as a truck driver, so I figured the Tom Ford Tobacco would be best suitable for work. Then on my home times I'll be rockin all the other ones
Less is NOT more! Applying more fragrance doesn't change the quality of smell. It smells exactly the same, just more! Being a dairy and loud man, won't make people angry. You must just have the confidence to pull it off. Screw that "less is more" rule. It's not even a rule actually. Just wear as much as you think is good.
Hey Aaron. Just a quick thanks for your videos and vibe. Not only do you give excellent advice, but you are uplifting and put me in a better mood after a long day at work. It's like a bro fist bump every time I click on your channel. You are amazingly positive and much appreciated, my friend.
You should be cold rinsing at the end of your shower to close pores and tighten the skin. It’s better for your skin. Then lightly moisturize. Allow moisturizer to air dry (which happens faster when you aren’t sweating from increased core and skin temperature from NOT cold rinsing) then apply your fragrance.
Aaron. Never on the neck, the alcohol and solvents in the fragrance are not good for the skin in that area which most easily dry out. Spray just above your clavicles, in that little depression on your shoulder. Your wrist is good as when you move your arms the scent fills the air. Hope that helps
I am broke with 17¢ in the bank and low on gas. But that tax return check comes in, I buy 3 to 6 different large bottles for the year, Polo and whatnot, at the cheapest price after research and asking, "When is your next good sale?" I pay $33 for $105 cologne on the average, The year is covered. So I can be broke again, but as they say to dress for success, with this good advice, I love the daily feedback, "Ooo, you smell good." from a variety of females.
I know how t, apply cologne if u wearing a hoodie on a date or something and she coming to your house to snuggle or something give her your hoodie and u wanna sprits it like a decent amount if not u wanna spritz one on your neck two on your chest left and right this cus when she hugs u she will smell it and also one on the back of your neck so when u walk by she smells the scent
I'm pretty straight up about not being able to talk/attract girls...well...I put on my Jimmy Choo Man fragrance today, wore a red plaid shirt, my chukkas, and went to school. I didn't get compliments but right after class as I was talking to a classmate in the hall before I left, this super cute girl I've been crushing on walked right up and asked me if I thought I was ready for the test Monday. We talked for like 10 minutes and found out I'm in another class with her sister she's already taken. I've been dying to introduce myself since August and thought before today that I really need to grow balls and say hi. Boom. It happened. Probably not the fragrance but I'm super stoked and thought I'd share!!! I'm gonna get her number if I can after the test on Monday 😎
How can I tell if I've already put too much on? When I show up to my destination, I don't want people to be like, "Oh! Hey! Are you wearing cologne? Who you tryna impress??" That's okay if I'm going to a party or a dinner or just somewhere I want to feel impressive. But on a normal, casual, every day, I just want to make sure I don't smell bad and if someone happens to walk by me they get a nice smell that's not over powered or doesn't fit the occasion.
Highly recommend shipping at stores like Burlington coat factory TJ MAXX Ross and Marshalls. Alot of the name brand colonges and under the radar colonges i got for 17 to as high as 25 bucks...
I like your style alpha, and youre brave to be wearing two earrings, i havent done that since i was 17. But much like me i can see you too been striving to find ever smaller earrings and thats too small already, plus theyre too wide - like with fragrances one gotta know when it has gone too far. When i was at your size i went one size up and thinner, and now it is so good that i havent removed it for 2 years now, the thick small ones will never be used again and seeing you here i remember why. Thanks for good videos and your enthusiasm
Just 2 Sprays? I know it depends on the fragrance but if I only spray myself 2 times nobody can smell me.. I personally go for 4-6 sprays depends on the occasion.. In school I mostly do 4 sprays and I'm good to go.. Nobody ever told me that I'm wearing to much..
Guys try mont Blanc individuel if you want something unique, unlike sauvage, and cheap too. It's perfect for fall and winter and even spring. Great blind buy
I think wearing cologne under ones armpits is what makes that one guy stink not putting too much on other body parts. I have known people that put on cologne all through the day and they make a point of never putting it under their pits.
Too many dudes do excessive sprays. Just two sprays: one on chest, and spray on wrist dab on wrists together then dab it on your side neck both sides and rub remainder on torso...Aaron you got good notes but this one gonna have to agree/semi-disagree in how you explained this
Nice video my friend. As a fan of fragrances you explained the scents well. I prefer using Aveeno and mix it with my cologne. Gives you a good nice scent bubble around you.
@Nicolas Rodriguez It's an excellent site to shop on. Shipping all depends on what method you choose. I believe any order over $50 is free shipping, from Deer Park, NY (Their headquarters) to Los Angeles CA (Me) takes about 8-10 days.
Nicolas Rodriguez for me it’s 4-7 days but you can pay for different days if you want it quicker and it’s a great site all legit. Also it gives you 30% off but before you order look up the 37% coupon and type it in to get a little extra off
Now that I know where to apply, my biggest dilemma is How to spray and at what distance?! At what spray distance do you use When spraying on skin? Does spray distance influence projection of fragrance?
Best Colognes Ever 1. Prada Lhomme 2. Dior Sauvage 3. Creed Aventus 4. Parfumes De Marly Layton 5. Aqua di Gio Profumo 6. YSL La Nuit De Lhomme 7. Channel Allure Homme Sport EDP 8. DG The One 9. CH Men Prive 10. Bvlgari Aqua Amara
Its also more than just concentration. If you're using a lighter, fresh cologne it will last less than a heavy, woody or spicy or sweet will last longer
Guys just a heads up, still shop around for your cologne if you're looking to buy, because I've compared a few prices to Macy's and they've varied in "worth-it"ness. One was half Macy's price but others are much more expensive without that 30% off. Just be careful.
As a woman I like a great perfume and a great diet has a lot to do with smelling great : if you sweat bad it’s a result of bad diet and thus even if you have the best perfume on Earth won’t help .

Alpha is the big bro I never had 😁💪
agree
same cus i only see my dad every couple weeks and i’m a only child
Im sorry its been 10 months but Did u get it ?
I really like the Sauvage Dior one.
Dior cologne is probably my favorite manufactuer/designer...idk what they'd be called lol.
Legend says if im this early i'll get a like from ALPHAM
Gay.
It appears the legend was true
Tony well I’ll be Damned it be liked it
@@Chris-0113 😂
Highly recommend shipping at stores like Burlington coat factory TJ MAXX Ross and Marshalls.
Alot of the name brand colonges and under the radar colonges i got for 17 to as high as 25 bucks...
Am here for my brother, 😂😂
I'll show him this trick from a lovely sister 😊
Your Onii-chan will be proud.
I guess i have a pretty good taste in cologne because I own the YSL La Nuit de Hommes and the Dior Sauvage cologne.
Great timing, been struggling with my cologne game last few days ! It never lasts
I actually appreciate this video, I recently bought some drakkar noir and l'homme from Yves Saint Laurent
The only youtuber I don't complain about his ads, he just make it so smooth
You’re French accents is so funny 😂 ( I’m French) my favorite perfume is bleu de Chanel btw
He has Italian ancestry I think .lol 😂
My favorite 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Un autre français ici haha ! Bleu de Chanel est cool oui :)
Jayson Anderson ur fake. Ur not French bitch
Jayson Anderson What format?
Was searching for a new cologne. Thanks for the discount code, will gladly come in handy. You're the best Alpha M.
Judging from the thumbnail, I should use my right arm to spray a cologne and not my left
Saafwan Bin Masood just use your dominant hand
@@cheezuschrist1102 Why do people think I'm always serious lol
@@saafwan4973 You're a fecking hilarious...
7:25 is what you came for
If you're in Canada 🇨🇦 use frangrancebuy instead. It's cheaper with the currency sifference!
Cool thanks I'll check that sight out 👍😁
Jeremy Fragrance would be disappointed with you for pronouncing La Nuit De l’Homme
Guys try mont Blanc individuel if you want something unique, unlike sauvage, and cheap too. It's perfect for fall and winter and even spring. Great blind buy
I have mont blanc, prada, Versace, cool water, st.Kitts, sample sauvage 😂and a cheap bourbon one from bath and body works that smells good and lasts 👌
The bourbon is lowkey fire
Versace Eros???? Pour Homme?? Eros is the best!
@@HumidWarfareStudios Dylan blue
@@dra984 hell yea it is 👌
I bought the bourbon last summer lol, used to be my favorite before I got D&G Royal Oud
As a girl I can tell you, VIP by Playboy smells absolutely amazing as well as Eros by Versace.
Eros is also my favorite, if you liked that you'll love Cartier Declaration
Eros and Eros Flame are absolutely amazing, I only bought flame though because I like it better
I remember spending big $ on cologne. Now I wear the $12-15 cologne/AS.
I think wearing cologne under ones armpits is what makes that one guy stink not putting too much on other body parts. I have known people that put on cologne all through the day and they make a point of never putting it under their pits.
Im 33 and I literally do still have a bottle of old spice fresh that I still love from middle school lol
Too many dudes do excessive sprays. Just two sprays: one on chest, and spray on wrist dab on wrists together then dab it on your side neck both sides and rub remainder on torso...Aaron you got good notes but this one gonna have to agree/semi-disagree in how you explained this
I thought he was gonna say "you stink" at the beginning, I was gonna say I just got out the shower 😂
J_ Surge_95 same
Nice video my friend. As a fan of fragrances you explained the scents well. I prefer using Aveeno and mix it with my cologne. Gives you a good nice scent bubble around you.
I only get my cologne from fragrance.net. love that site.
Lazarus me too
Indeed. THE online spot for fragrances..
Also it gives you 30% off but before you order look up the 37% coupon and type it in to get a little extra off
Nicolas Rodriguez yup. All good.
Now that I know where to apply, my biggest dilemma is How to spray and at what distance?! At what spray distance do you use When spraying on skin? Does spray distance influence projection of fragrance?
Mont Blanc Legend smells very similar to Curve For Men.
Best Colognes Ever
1. Prada Lhomme
2. Dior Sauvage
3. Creed Aventus
4. Parfumes De Marly Layton
5. Aqua di Gio Profumo
6. YSL La Nuit De Lhomme
7. Channel Allure Homme Sport EDP
8. DG The One
9. CH Men Prive
10. Bvlgari Aqua Amara
U should try Calvin Klein Dark Obsession
Best cologne I have ever had.
Bass Booster I’ve got the Calvin Klein eternity collection
Its also more than just concentration. If you're using a lighter, fresh cologne it will last less than a heavy, woody or spicy or sweet will last longer
I need to try those‼️💯
Tom ford noir extreme is literally the best smell in life. Buy it
We needed this one😂 thank you alpha
Gotta wear my diesel collection they are incredible never had one guy or girl alike hate on my diesel's, Their a bit pricey but worth it 100%
I like Savage more than Tobbaco (TomFord)
Savauge edp is so good
Tobacco Oud is very polarizing but has a nice dry down
@@HumidWarfareStudios imo, that's very thick smoke smell. Not really fav of everyone. But in dark winter, suits the most.
SAVAGE
Gün Gün someone really went after that joke 😂
Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend is the scent you gotta plan ahead for, most compliments of any cologne I’ve ever used. Women love it
Ad ends at 4:04
It doesn’t end there dummy
Guys just a heads up, still shop around for your cologne if you're looking to buy, because I've compared a few prices to Macy's and they've varied in "worth-it"ness. One was half Macy's price but others are much more expensive without that 30% off. Just be careful.
We always have different coupons running, so you will always get a better price than the department stores :)
I have the mont blanc legend, smells amazing. I knew Aaron was a man of taste
Jack Ming me too bro and girls love it ;)
Try out tom ford noir extreme
Certi cheers bro
@@izaakgardnergardner9854 happy new year bro
As a woman I like a great perfume and a great diet has a lot to do with smelling great : if you sweat bad it’s a result of bad diet and thus even if you have the best perfume on Earth won’t help .
The moment you realize your cologne fragrance lasts longer than your relationships.
🤣🤣
1:17 with Eau fraiche I put it on at 7 and I’m still getting compliments on it at 3.
Frequent FranceNet.com buyer here and I'd definitely recommened!
Do they really offer Creed and Tom Ford colognes?
@@andresvasquez1884 Yes
Im a senior in highschool and i wear spicebomb, ultra male, Mercedes Benz black and bay rum after shave and they all smell amazing especially since there for different times of the year
Well, looks like I gotta get rid of my axe body spray... lmao
I never wore fragrance in school. I'm 28 now and have a 60 fragrance collection. Wish I knew how much women love good smelling fragrance.
I was just thinking I should get some new colognes 😂 thanks for the hookup Alpha
Love from Kenya 🇰🇪 Alpha! Keep up the good work. You are the light at the end of the tunnel for many men.
