@maybreathingstone if you are able to go there: Amsterdam would be an ideal place to start your journey and receive up to date information about the product, and help choosing the right ones to start you off. Have heard a lot of good things about the mushrooms called Golden Teachers, they even sound wise and beautiful don't they? Really don't want to sound preachy or patronising, but the saying is true that plant medicines and the experiences we encounter with them must be treated with the upmost reverence and respect, so you understand everything as its intended and can contextualise your journey. Maybe read up on factors like set and setting, and although we never considered it in my day, young people now sometimes arrange a Trip Sitter to oversee and supervise proceedings and I've even read about some people who have an emergency supply of alcohol or Valium to slow things down in an emergency, but I'm sure you dont need reminding that taking substances on top of other substances should be done with extreme caution ! I've heard orange juice or vitamin C is a safer alternative if you urgently need to take the edge off the trip. Having said all that, it's also an intrinsic part of the experience to weather the storm and allow yourself to experience any uncomfortable feelings, as it will no doubt be part of a message to your higher self you'll learn during your trip.
