Love the QJ's! Wish Bachmann would import another batch of those and the SY's, especially with how many ended up scattered on the American tourist circuit.
THE QJ2 IS A COMPLETE SURPRISE TO ME! I HAVE BEEN QUITE INTERESTED IN CHINESE STEAM SINCE APRIL 1989. I WAS ON THE INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE TEAM AT BOONE IOWA FOR THE JS8419! WAS QUITE AN INTERESTING ANDREWARDING EXPERIENCE!!
That's great! It's great to have a feedback from someone who was in contact with one of these locos in real life. From that what I have red they were quite advanced. About QJ2 I know since I bought these models on eBay from China. I wanted the biggest with 4 drivers on the side. 🙂
Max Supercars ALSO MAKING IT MORE INTERESTING WAS THE SHIPPING DAMAGE INCURRED IN LOS ANGELES HARBOR! AT THE ARRIVAL THE DATONG PLANT SENT 5 TECHNICIANS TO BOONE FOR INSPECTION OF THE DAMAGE !! AND YES WHILE IT DOES LOOK LIKE AN EXAMPLE OF LATE 30s AND 40s LOCOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY THERE WERE A LOT OF SMALL DETAILS THAT WERE QUITE EYE OPENING! THE BIGGEST SURPRISE BEING THE ALL WELDED BOILER!!
Got my hands on a 6122 (Youth) recently myself. The only cosmetic change I have made, and plan to make, is a different banner on the front. I got a decal of the banner 6988 and 7081 wore from 2006-2007, the one with the blue arches and the CNR logo. Look up the QJ triplehead with 261 in 2006 for reference. Absolutely beautiful model, Bachman China really outdid themselves!
@@MaxSupercars I am interested in railroads and trains either. I have to mention, those music you adopted is the exactly ones that ever used in many railway stations in China in that old days. It really wakened many long lost memories of mine. your guys really did a splendid job. so appreciate.
Thank you! The trucks originate from River Point Station but they are lighted by East Coast Circuits. Check them on Google. They are lighting now amazing Fire trucks from Brekina.
Can anyone help me? I have a Bachmann QJ train. Everything is in working order including the motor. except when I go to put it on the rail, it goes like 1.5 inches forward then stopped. I have brought the train to my local model shop and we have narrowed the issue down to something wrong with the gears. Is there any known errors with my train or is there a fix to this? Will Bachmann even fix this if I am in the US?
Danke dir. Viele Grüße
@@spideyalex99 I bought them from eBay from China. So search eBay for "Bachmann China QJ"... the prices differ from $350 to $450... I bought them for about $400 I think... please check the seller refences before you buy. Some are unreliable. And pay per pay pal for money back guarantee... I took also chinese decoders with sound, each maybe $50 but they are shit. One stopped working after few runs. When I knew it, I would buy ESU LokSound 5 separately and use some suitable steam sound.

Hallo Dirk! 😊

It can be also decoder issue. Try to disassemble tender and change decoder. You will see then if it's electronical or mechanical problem.
