    Figuring out how to manage your hair can definitely take time so try not to allow frustration to take over. You will make some mistakes and learn along your journey. Do you have any tips that you wish you would have known sooner?

      To chop off my hair even if it is natural. No point in long thick tresses without the luscious/moisturized part. Starting from the bottom to moisturized healthy strands.

      It's completely okay to use products that don't have awesome ingredients. My hair loves silicones. My hair likes grease. My hair hates coconut oil. My hair hates low or no sulfate shampoos. My hair likes protein. It's always about listening to your hair. Hell, it might even change its preferences in a few years, who knows?

      Coconut oil is NOT my friend. This would of eliminated half of the products I bought when I first went natural. Ugh now I cant find products that are coconut oil free and glycerin free for my summer routine .

      To keep the moisture-protein balance in my hair. Over moisturizing my hair leads to weak strands.

    It should say USDA Organic: ✨
    Put simply, if you see the "USDA Organic" or "Certified Organic" seal on your food/product, the item must have an ingredients list and the contents should be 95% or more certified organic,
    meaning free of synthetic additives like pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and dyes, and must not be processed using industrial solvents etc.

    Yeah they put an organic label on food too because they use one organic ingredient and the rest chemicals.

    Even my generation figured out that just like anything else to do with the Human body, your hair GETS USED TO something and then works (over time) to render that SOMETHING useless. This is how even 'drug habits' are formed. Your body gets used to whatever your 'Get High' method of choice is and it SUDDENLY stops working so you move on to either MORE OR SOMETHING STRONGER.
    Natural cures only go so far to heal and only work for so long before you need to see an actual doctor. Your hair is the same way: What you used during your 'transition' may not work once you become FULLY Natural and whatever your regiment was from 'BACK IN THE DAY' (especially when you were RELAXING) once you became fully Natural may STOP WORKING, don't FREAK! Just have a 'backup' regiment in your 'Tool Shed' of products!
    This was very PRACTICAL, HONEST and EDUCATIONAL, kudos to you!

    i wish someone would share how to manage real fine , superly always tangling hair , no pineaple style.or twist out or left open it tangle s like hell. really tired of it , i feel it would of been much longer if my hair dont tangle as much

    • @nanostar7660
      @nanostar7660 6 лет назад +8

      Siann King, I have fine, 4c hair that likes to tangle. I couldn't even wear a bun without my hair tangling UNTIL my hair became moisture trained( watered enough on a consistent basis that it started behaving) and i start parting and braiding my hair into 6 large braids with the ends poofy and then pull those braids into a bun. The 6 braids come from parting my head in half at my ears so i have a top half and bottom half. I have 2 braids in the bottom half and three braids in the top half. I reuse the parts and rebraid the braids 2-3 times a week which only takes 10 minutes. Everyday i put olive oil on the ends. Because I redo these braids throughout the week to detangle and rebraid, my hair doesn't tangle as much because there is less shed hair at take down. This hair style has been a game changer for me.

    • @Ukhti_Zee
      @Ukhti_Zee 6 лет назад

      Maybe try mini twists and mini braids to reduce the tangling and jojoba oil or a sheabutter cream to moisturize it and keep the hair soft.

    • @princessmoo4891

      My hair is fine, all i do is "deep condition" 2x a week and moisturize and seal 2x a week and it's made a difference

      @@princessmoo4891 GIIRRRLLL i know what you mean this is what saved my supah fine hair:
      1. Buns with twisted ends, and long term protective styles(mini twist or braids(not too miny about medium sized which last 4 months)
      2. Hot oil treatment AFTER you wash your hair, no heavy oils. Olive oil and castor oil is BAE
      3. No LOC , always LO or LC keep the heavy weight products outcha head it will yeet your fine strands off.
      4. Trim to help stop the breakage. No heat, no weave(braids dreads etc), they will yeet your whole head off!
      5. Protein Treatment once every 1 to 2 months(Aphogee came thru with)
      6. Deep Condition WITH HEAT
      7. Keep your hair moisturized at all times. Do not reapply product more than one extra time. Water and a lil conditioner is okay.
      8. Use shampoo with a scalp massager(2$ at the beauty suppy)
      Hope this helped you 😘

    I did see a video (Charmaine) talking about one of the reasons your go to hair products may mot be working anymore...product build up. She says to use a clarifying shampoo to see if that helps ☺️
    Great tips...simple yet, important 👍🏾

    22nd Century Natural hair Woman product, it’s legit! All natural ingredients are in her stuff. Exclusively using only her things in my hair had definitely improved the health of my hair and my children’s hair. BTW I’m finally passed bra strap length too. I contribute that to switching over to her products and method of handling my hair. Check her out if your open to new new route

    Thanks so much for this video; it was so helpful to me and most of encouraging as I have often thought about trying one of those silk pressing kits but I am definitely not going to use any of them now. And I loved your positive affirmations at the end. You're such a beautiful sister, bless you!

    Always read ingredient labels on hair products, food products, skin products, etc...as a general rule, avoid ingredients with long complex names and abbreviations. The fewer ingredients, the better, IMHO. Research ingredient names to learn what effect they will have on your hormones.

    Hey Hey Hey!! How are you Beautiful? I hope all is well. Great Tips/Advice. It will be 4yrs on 10/30 since I did my chop and I still struggle at times. To be honest I think I enjoyed my hair and the process much more when I first chop (well like the first year/year and a 1/2) I don’t know 🤷🏾‍♀️ why?...

    Thank you for the wonderful tips! Also lately whenever I try new products or even some of the same products I get a really severe allergic reaction! All over my face and hands? It lasts for like two weeks and it's so hard because the only products that don't give me this is the as I am range. I want to try other stuff but just can't 😭 do you know any ingredients that often cause allergies? I have an allergy test coming up but I'm impatient lol x

    Thanks for this informative video!! Its really disheartening and scary to know that hair dressers will put a perm in your hair without your consent. I would be very angry if that happened to me. And they should be locked up. It kind of makes me not want to go to a hairdresser ever.
