Oh the sweet irony: Joker wanted to die, but with a bang and in fame and ended up going out with a whimper and being forgotten. He wanted Batman to kill him, but died at the hands of his own stupidity.
The DCAU death didn't have the same level of raw dramatic irony. In DCAU he was killed by somebody other than Batman, the person he *wants* to kill him, after they broke free from his brainwashing which means he was defeated by somebody other than his greatest rival. Robin basically spit in his face and ruined the joke he was trying to set up. In this case his death came about from him assuming he had finally broken Batman, but he was the one who finally broke because for once he genuinely believed Batman was going to let him die. Batman won, and it was Joker's fault for not trusting Batman, but at the same time it wouldn't matter to anybody else. Joker knew everybody would blame Batman for his death, which gave him what he wanted, but in a way that ultimately proved his ideology wrong.
This ending is perfect. In every Batman story, we have never seen a definitive death. No matter how far he falls, no matter if he's in an explosion, no matter if he gets eaten by fucking sharks, Joker always comes back. But now we see him die right in front of us. And this shakes Batman up so much that ironically he does what he did when Jason Todd died. He stopped caring. He became ruthless. He pushed away everyone close to him. And that is why this is the best Batman game in history.
Except that this joker's death was not definitive as he was revived as a hallucination by Scarecrow's fear toxin in Arkham Knight, where he had more screen time than literally the main villain of the game, The Arkham fucking Knight.

Have you seen Arkham knight though? He is there in Batman’s thoughts because there might have been still a tad bit of poison in him which makes him hallucinate the joker
Dude lol it’s a video game
@@swagmaster5103 From the blood that Joker put in Batman, and some exposure to Scarecrows fear toxin, it allowed the Jokers blood to create hallucinations of Joker in his mind, and to grow and try take over his mind as well to become a new Joker.
Thinking about it they were making us believe he was gonna make him into the Batman Who Laughs
@@hunterquate9436 ok thanks
Got stabbed by Joker, meanwhile *Triangle : am i joke to you Batman? 🗿
0:39-0:40: Joker Jumpscare
The Joker’s last joke was on himself
I think this death scene might be even better than his death in the DCAU.
I love how at the end of this game the doors to Arkham City just open right up for him. Wasn't the entire point of the game to escape and shut the city down? And he just walked right out... WTF??
Batman did shut Arkham City at Wonder Tower. You know, the part before the Joker's death.
@@Samuel152didn’t just shut the tower down, it got nuked
_Do you wanna know something funny? Even after everything you’ve done…I would’ve saved you_ . The best line ever said by Kevin Conroy. A fitting end to him and Mark Hamill’s partnership.
Rest in peace Kevin Conroy. Forever our Batman. ❤
It's like watching the school bully die at his own hands, while the normal-bullied kid tried to save him no matter what. Cause the bully is a reflection of anybody's dark side, especially to Batman.
Jesus Salazar an intriguing conclusion
Batmans just standing next to his body like now what do I do?
This was the greatest game ever.
I felt I escaped through arkham city's streets, didn't you?
In this timeline, Joker isn't a crack addict pretending to be Joker. Harley Quinn is actually deadly, and not some wannabe Barbie Doll.
"Even after everything you've done, I would've still saved you."
Meanwhile, Snyder Cultists :
OMG Batman going on a killing spree is totally acceptable guys!!
Joker is Joker alright, he even died smiling
This made me cry because of how amazing it looks
And because my favorite villain died
The Joker had his last laugh
R.I.P. Joker a flack of demons sing thee to thy rest.
Batman: Let's just say, he literally died of laughter.
1:48 “Spinch bo popsile is pretty funny imo”
2:04 FUCKING EPIC SCENE!
01:33 when bae reply ur message
jk guys 😂
Almost became immortal... but instead he went to hell.
“Any last words”
“I Know Jesus has forgiven me”
“Is that a joke?”
“*whimpers* No…”
(This is robot chicken one)
