For my turkey burgers I grate in an onion for moisture and then I like to season with worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, parsley (or cilantro), and garlic as a base.
May I just say that I found Preppy Kitchen a week or two ago (I'm a weird teenager who likes cooking videos), and this has already become one of my favorite cooking channels? This man is a treasure trove of beautiful content and he's really entertaining Thanks for existing
You are/were an amazing teenager. What you eat now determines how you live and feel as an adult. Also you will be a badass cook sooner than you think. In a few years you know.
John!!! I would love to see more healthy recipes like this!! Always looking for more inspiration and “better for you” meals to cook! Your content never fails to make my day.
I tried your receipt today. I made minor changes. I eliminated the Worcester sauce. Instead, I used a tablespoon of olive oil and 2 scallions (green onions) instead of the onion powder. And I added Jelopino pepper (I like things spicy) and more herbs from my garden ( basil and cilantro). I gotta tell you, it was super delicious. I wouldn't want to eat it any other way. Thank you so much!!
Just made this and the burgers were awesome!! Thanks! Also did a cranberry / aoli sauce (mayo, sea salt, minced garlic, lime juice, cranberry sauce), with feta and spring mix greens. It was a great salty/sweet combo.
I just made these & they turned out super yum! I substituted crumbled gluten-free table crackers with some Italian herb mix for the pre-seasoned bread crumbs and it worked great.
My kids and I love turkey burgers! My 13 year old asked me to look for a new recipe to try, instead of the same old one.I look on my phone and saw this❤️
I love adding paprika to my turkey burger and pretty much the rest of the ingredients you have here. :) BUT, for me, it has to be a truly Spanish smoky paprika. Look for paprika de la vera. This spice can produce some delicious tapas too... sautee mushroom with it. A Spanish aioli with mayo, garlic and paprika de la vera - which I love to serve with simply roasted sliced potatoes that have a sweet kiss of a brush of olive oil and salt & pepper.
I followed this recipe and it was a hit with my family, John. Thank you, for such amazing and easy to follow recipes. The turkey burgers were so delicious we will be eating them next week again 😂.
To ensure that the meat cooks evenly, make a thumbprint indentation into each patty before it goes on the grill. The indentation helps the patty hold its shape-rather than swelling-as it shrinks during cooking.
I made this recipe last night for dinner and my husband grilled the patties ………OH EM GEE. Sooooo delicious ! It truly was , “the opposite of dry!” Thank you so much for sharing 💕
Ohhhhhh my goodness. This is my way of making hamburgers all the time for many many years. I add nutmeg and allspice and a little cinnamon to this and to almost all my food. This is our traditional middle eastern way.💖💖💖😊
Made this today. It was great! Thanks :D Also for spices, I always use whatever my mom packs for me when I leave for university after a holiday so I threw in a little bit of everything I got and it turned out good B)
My husband and I were just talking about making turkey burgers and then you happened to post this! We also make turkey chili, turkey meatloaf and turkey meatballs.
Hi John, I do like your show, good cook and a good sense of humor. I use either ground turkey or chicken. I always have roasted garlic in the freezer, so I use that. I also chop up spinach and feta, besides the usual suspects. My Granddaughters love them. Have a great day.
John, I love your recipes. One thing I do when adding cheese to my burgers is fold in each corner just a little, so you don’t waste any melted cheese on the frying pan.
I made these today. I didn't add the egg, but they were delicious. One other minor change. I didn't have Italian breadcrumbs, so put a tablespoon of Italian dressing. the next time, I think I will try a Cajun turkey burger or a Buffalo turkey burger.
I made this today again but added a little bit of onion powder, lessened the breadcrumbs, added 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce and let it marinate for 20 mins and baked them in the oven on 400 degrees F for 22 mins. Perfect. No oil!
Thank you so much. I Tweaked it a little bit. same ingredients I just minused the tomatoes and lettuce. I grilled my onions and my buns brush a little bit of BBQ sauce over the top with some baby Swiss cheese O.m.g. it was soooooo good....
I use a similar recipe. The lean turkey works too and if you prep it right, it won't be dry. 2 tbs Worcestershire Sauce, 1 egg, 2 cloves of garlic minced, bread crumb, salt and pepper. I oil up my hands with olive oil, then make the paddies. I heard phosphates help trap moisture within the protein structure of the meat, which is why we see some chefs sear the meat in a pan for a few minutes, before baking or BBQ.
A small tip. Leaving a dimple in the middle of any burger patty does help to combat the shrinking. Thank you for the recipe!
Thankyou so much for that tip. Im 16 and i make burgers for my family, and i just kinda wing it. Its always great to learn new tips
A friend taught me that trick when I fixed my first burger... At age 20. 🤦🏾♀️😬 I'm 35 now and still use that trick 🤣
Thank you for the tip :)
Thanx

@@PreppyKitchen I used super lean ground turkey. It’s 99% fat free. What percentage do you recommend to make it juicy?

Hi John. This burger recipe looks amazing. I'm enjoying all your videos. Do you have a recipe for a Sachertorte?
I am not a big fan of my homemade but I am willing to give your recipe a try 💕
Not really spices but when I make my burgers, I usually add chopped mushrooms and carrots into the burgers and it takes pretty nice :)

Always say yes to fries! and fried zucchini too!
@@PreppyKitchen yes! They both are good! 😄
Burgers with fries? 🤔 that might just be crazy enough to work!
I will do this recipe, but with regular meet. Maybe add some mild sheddar cheese. Might replace the parleys for cilantro 🌿 🤔
