    Is it possible to post the actual recipe?
    Forget the rolling pin...throw your nuts in a freezer ziploc bag and step on it a few times (make sure your floor is clean & you don't step on the part where you open the bag. If you have a cat or dog or pig, I would just stick to the rolling pin crushing due to possible stray "hares"/ hairs)

    You know why it's soft in my opinion? It's because in video #1 she said there was 4 cups of flour in the bowl. I think since she doubled it there should have been 8 cups. Anyone else catch that?

    needs to be put in fridge to rest, the butter is making it soft

    though should have been not at room temperature, maybe that's why it was giving you guys so much trouble
