Central Autonomic Service System for Internal Emergencies (C.A.S.S.I.E.) - a fictional character in SCP: Secret Laboratory presented as an AI-controlled mechanism responsible for internal security of the Facility.
C.A.S.S.I.E. began operation in March 2010, and was installed within a previously decommissioned surveillance room. Because of the fact that the room was placed outside the Facility, an armored door and walls were installed to reinforce the room from external threats. Initially, the system had the same abilities as TTS as a manual PA system (with limited autonomic capabilities), however, at this stage it was capable of independent judgement, such as extinguishing a large fire or detecting potential disease outbreaks within facility staff. It was necessary for everything to be controlled remotely, because only the O5 Council could permit access to C.A.S.S.I.E.’s core.
Within eight years, it gained the trust of the personnel teams tasked with renovating, maintaining and improving systems across the board. C.A.S.S.I.E.’s chamber was last opened in December 2015. A number of modules responsible for individual decisions were installed. Since these new installations and capabilities, the entire security of Site-02 depended on C.A.S.S.I.E.’s sheer judgement.
To minimize potential risk of hacking, it is no longer possible to override C.A.S.S.I.E.’s decisions remotely. The only way to do so is to gain access to C.A.S.S.I.E.’s core, and using its master control terminal. Unfortunately, this action can only be taken with direct consent from the O5 Council.
The second letter of the abbreviation stands for “Autonomic”, which essentially means that C.A.S.S.I.E. can make its own decisions and judgement based on its own advanced, complex understanding of any situation or circumstance it detects. The idea is simple; “in case of an emergency, focus on escaping. The rest is up to the machines”. Artificial intelligence has access to far more information than humans. Thanks to this, AI-controlled systems make more appropriate decisions - immediately, rationally and efficiently.
After C.A.S.S.I.E. is activated and alerted, initial start-up procedures commence. Full system activation occurs after 10-15 seconds since the initial alert. Next, the system will begin analyzing the emergency. In the case of a containment breach, a deepscan can take about 30 seconds to complete. After the analysis, initial steps are taken. C.A.S.S.I.E. launches standard security procedures and calls required Mobile Task Forces if necessary, in order to contain whatever SCPs may be loose and a big enough threat.

Imagine if 079 were to interact with players through systems like this. Maybe there could even be consoles around the map where people could ping the SCP and talk to it for whatever reason.
The original containment breach used "Doctor Sbastio" for it's voice lines, and it does have a "repeat what was said" ability, so that might be something, eh?

It's much better than SCP-939. SCP-939 is a giant dog of death, but after seeing you turns out to be a little kid begging you to let them eat you. If SCP-079 had a computer voice it wouldn't even matter if you had voice chat or not!
Ya I think 079 should have the same power as a commander card until someone gives him extra power. It will bring some of the bargaining element from scpcp
The comment above me should be something to never be allowed, because it's such a terrible idea that complicates the game with no purpose behind it! Just ignore what they said, all!

I have a feeling I know why Hubert implemented this. A safe answer would be for ease in making new announcements, such as if a scientist died or something like that, but maybe 079 can override it and make it talk. Just a theory.

Ya, the guy controlling 079 can talk over the announcements except when players are doing it in the intercom, just add a little robotic voice modifier and it would be really cool, maybe a timer for 079 though but shorter since it might inhibit gameplay

It's a Text To Speech made using words from a real voice actor, so most words are recorded beforehand.

I think a great idea for scp 079 is that he is able to unlock the containment chamber of a new scp and then gets to play as that scp

quick suggestion: how about you add SCRAMBLE from the scp lore? SCRAMBLE was basically a modified night-vision helmet that was capable of censoring SCP-096's face to protect NTF.

As you can notice from lore, SCRAMBLE system was a total failure. It did not protect the brain from noticing 096's face, even without people realizing his facial features.

* SCP-096 is indestructible.
* SCP-939 can only mimic previously heard voices, NOT make its own and engage in conversations.

the list goes on...
the game has lots of lore differences, so it shouldn't be a stretch if SCRAMBLE was implemented and worked

In my personal opinion, it sounds “poppy,” like the announcer’s lips are too close to the mic without a pop filter. I know it’s a text to speech system, but is there any way to make it sound less poppy?
Other than that, it sounds great!
This is caused by some high-frequency filters that I've added. It can be easily changed or disabled :)

Wait so for c.a.s.s.i.e. would the tts announcement would be a type function like if I wanted to say "I love chaos insurgency" or would Cassie have a certain few expressions to say like the standard mtf announcement or if a scp is contained/killed ?
C.A.S.S.I.E. is not a speech synthesizer, however we have recorded hundreds of words and phones (phones are the smallest units of phonetic sound). By combining them to each other we can technically create any word we want. The current wordbase has over 500 words that players can use and I think that's enough for standard in-game sentences. In a brief - currently C.A.S.S.I.E. cannot say "love", because this word is not whitelisted. However it's possible to add it :)

Hello! Can you make a CASSIE for TTS in google speech synthesizer for subscribers? This is was very good, because my friends have a questroom, they wanna make some voice for one extra game. Maybe not for free, maybe for some 5 dollars, but i think many people wanna make a voice of TTS at scp Secret lab.

Hey Hubert, just figured out that if you put yourself in God mode and get crushed between the Chaos van and the unopenable gate, you fall under the map. You might wanna fix that in the upcoming mega patch.
But why should we fix bugs that are only possible by using cheats?

Translations are up to the community :)
But it would be translated word-by-word, so it can cause many gramatical errors
