    I'm pretty happy with mine a couple hikes in, very grippy and light.

    I didn't like the SC5 as much as the 4. I feel like something was in there to make me taller. I might try the SC6 .

      Never owned the 4s, first pair was 5s. Not a whole lot of difference in the 6s but a tad lighter.

    I liked the SC6 for hiking as the heel cup is very stable for foot. I felt this gave me less of a chance of rolling my ankle. Did you also feel it was very stable for running compared to Hoka or kettle trail running shoes? I think those can be to tall and cushy.

      I have a pair of the Hoka Clifton's for road running which I love. Tried on the Hoka Speed Goats in the store and they were too stiff to my liking. Occasionally I will roll an ankle while trail running in the Salomon, but they are very low to the ground and grippy.

    Hi I owned 2 pairs of speedcross 4s in 6 months ,addressed it to Corp and they refused to replace them. I'm going to try the qwest4d.

      Surprised you can still buy the 4s. I have only owned the 5s and 6s.

    Are the insoles actually glued in or do they just have some goo to prevent them from sliding around like s/lab ultra 3 v2 has?

    • @goldenblazehikes
      @goldenblazehikes  Год назад +1

      Not sure. I assume if you pull hard enough they will come out. Do like that they will not slip like the previous models when wet. Thanks for watching. 😁

      @@goldenblazehikes i saw another review of speedcross 6 in which the dude had removed the insoles.
      Pulsar trail pro had tiny bits of glue that remained sticky after removing the insoles. I guess that speedcrosses might have something similar 🤷

    Paul, nice update on shoes. How are they with regard to width? My foot is moderately wide , so I'll have to try these in wide. I know you have had good luck with Salomon shoes. I'm in Hoka speedgoats right now and love the cushion, but I'd like the tread on these. Thanks for sharing. Good looking shoe too.....sometimes that helps,lol. take care.

      Thanks Greg. The wide is just right for me, very comfortable. Have not tried the Hokas. Unsure about how they would feel with the extra thick sole. Do they feel stable? Thanks for watching.

      @@goldenblazehikes they do feel amazingly stable but sometimes I’d like a little more traction in loose dirt or mud. But on wet rocks and wood and roots they have great grip when so many other shoes are dangerously slippery. And as you know our trails are usually wet more than dry. Thx

    How did they feel on the road? The trail I take has about 2 miles of road.

      Not so comfortable on pavement, especially when running. At that point, I typically run along the shoulder.

    Can be used for hiking?

    • @goldenblazehikes

      Could be. Not as much cushion as most hiking shoes.

    This type of shoe is determined by whether it is a hiking shoe or a trail running shoe?

    • @goldenblazehikes
      @goldenblazehikes  11 месяцев назад +1

      It is listed as a trail running shoe via Salomon. It is extremely light. Could be used for hiking but not as cushioned as a typical hiking shoe.
