I've been wearing my speedcross 3 advs for awhile now primarily on pavement. There's some wear on the lugs for sure but they've been great and should last a pretty good amount of time. Highly recommend speedcross especially if you can find em on sale! speedcross 3/4 do fit a half to full size small depending on your foot shape though so be careful, the 5s are tts like corbin mentioned
I own 3 pairs of Salomons - one xt-4 and two xt-6. I have been wearing my first xt-6s almost everyday since I got them in january. I did some hikes and trail runs and they worked out great. After three months the sole started to peel off so I contacted the support and they gave me a coupon of the exact amount I originally paid so I got my second pair. They really hug your foot and it‘s very comfortable wearing them. The only thing i don‘t like is that the first eyelets (nearest to your toes) don‘t have any plastic which would protect the fabric from being damaged when lacing your shoes. I haven’t noticed any major issues with the sole being worn off when you wear them on asphalt. The sole is pretty much the same in comparison to the speedcross 5 (it‘s contragrip). I don‘t wear the xt-4s that often because they don‘t hug my foot as well as the xt-6s because they are a little bit chunkier and don‘t hug the foot as well as the xt-6. Also the color way of the xt-4 (vanilla ice) is pretty hard to wear because it‘s white, blue and grey (+ red accent on tongue). Great video! Your reviews are very helpful :)
Sup! I also got the XT-6 from this season, the copen, blue ,mood indigo and they’re amazing ! I’ve worn them for the past month almost everyday but for really small walks around town, trying to be careful with the chevron treads on pavement when walking haha, and Took em for a run today on soft ground but also a bit of pavement and they were so comfortable!! Really amazing shoe. Does your new xt-6 hold well on pavement ? Don’t want them to be worn off after a couple of months at the price they are 😰
I have had quite a few pairs of the Salomon Speedcross shoes. I use them for OC racing and they work great for mud running. Never had a problem with the uppers or material. The soles and especially the chevron lugs will over time show wear, especially when worn on hard surfaces like concrete. The SC 5s have the best lugs so far IMO. The speed lace system is genius and works well. The laces are very tough, no problems with them. Buy with confidence!
I’ve had the speed cross from 2012, and mine last 9 years, they have been elite tier. The wear is completely gone now but they lasted so so long. Just recently bought the new balance gtx and they are getting sent back as they are no where near as comfy and light as the salomons. :)
Its great presentation. Finally somebody did show some look style for this kind of shoes. Great done. I already have one. I will wear them more in single speed bike style then running.
what shoes is lucky_eatos wearing because I cant find these shoes in white. looking for a pair of these in all white that arent the BBS 11, i've seen other people with the all white ones that arent the BBS 11.
There is another way you can tug the laces into the tongue of the shoe that looks a lot cleaner then just tugging the ends of the strings like you did in the video. Kinda hard to explain how you do it but Obstacle Activist has a video on the speedcross 's that show you how to do it properly.
I own 7 pairs of various Salomon shoes, I find the SPEEDCROSS 4 to be my favorite by far, they are so comfortable to wear. As you mentioned the only downside is the wear, but I can’t fault the shoe as it is designed for trails and truth be told I wear it often just to walk.
Logical and unpretentious presentation...that makes you likable! Hate hysterical RUclipsrs... Just bought a pair just like yours. Black just can't go wrong...
@@corbincore "after nearly 2 years of ownership (and a mere 1 mile walked)" 😂😂😂😂 thanks for the info, I will buy them it's just that they're a bit expensive. I usually look for soles that are attached with threads.
I can wear a pair of any salmons speedcroses or any other shoes of salmon last up to a year for me I had to get a new pair halfway through the year my feet grew so I had to get a new pair
What’s up man just found your channel. I will be reviewing these shoes soon. I think its crazy to wear these on the street but to each there own. I owned the speed cross fours for about one season and I wore them a lot and they did it last at all. But during that season boy did we have some fun climbing mountains. Love the lace system overall good video. Get your cardio up boi

Kale Sanchez thank you for the nice write up!! That’s good to know that they still have a lot of life left!
Nice review. I've been using these for about 2 years on. No complaints -- and surely the best trail-dedicated running shoe I've yet owned.

it sounds like the company has fairly good customer service! thats good to hear! the xt-6s are super clean

I thought I was watching a regular shoe review but then the video went on a whole different aspect, that being the fashion side! I liked it!
Bought mine in 2019, and they're still in 1 piece. I love them
@Corbin 4:30 Try stowing the excess lace at the "lace garage" located on the top portion of the tongue. It will make things more seamless.

There is a pouch on top of tongue for storing laces...
Never thought about that potential premature wear of the lugs on pavement
cain035 I haven’t really noticed any yet but I’ve only had them 2 weeks or so!
Hi. Is this shoe good for city? I mean for daily use?
what shoes is lucky_eatos wearing because I cant find these shoes in white. looking for a pair of these in all white that arent the BBS 11, i've seen other people with the all white ones that arent the BBS 11.
did you find out what pair he was wearing?
Which pants 👖 u wearing on these video, matching with slmn speedcross?
yoo love the review. Definitely getting these. question...what sweater were you wearing at the beginning of the video?
Thank you man! its a uniqlo u sweater from the ss20 collection!

i'll peep the video!
Boris Johnson? That's a collab I'm waiting for

How do you like the alphacross and supercross?
@@chasepotter2376 I don’t have those, I’m waiting for the Wild Cross to be in stock again.
I do have the Senseride 4 and those are very nice as well.
are they slippery for concrete?
I personally prefer Gortex because I always end up in wet weather when working and I don't want trench foot
Logical and unpretentious presentation...that makes you likable!

Just bought a pair just like yours. Black just can't go wrong...
I appreciate the kind words, man. These are super easy to throw on and go so I'm sure you'll get loads of use out of them!
Great review man!
I appreciate it man! you always have great vids!
Do you recommend half size bigger for trail running or the normal foot size will be fine?
What are the pants you are wearing at the end of the video ?
Thoughts on the "XA PRO 3D GTX FOR BEAMS
" model? I'm honestly thinking of copping after your vid, the colorway is super nice.
Personally I like them you styled them nice too great content also
I appreciate that man!
I like those on you. Great review
yoo thank you!
Sadly, it seems that they refuse to make them at sizes smaller than 7.5 so I’m out of luck.
they make them in womens! seems to be the same shoe
lookin good with those curls! :D
good stuff brooo!
thank you my guy!
Great video. For running in snow, did this shoe work (or you recommend GTX version)? Thanks!
thank you! I would recommend GTX for snow for sure!
Will these be fine around lakes? Do they hold a lot of water? Planning on using these to hike up places to go kayaking please get back to me asap
theres a goretex edition model that probably fits what youre looking for more
hi bro, you don't seem to walk a lot but do you think the glue is really good for outdoors? like hiking in rivers and deserts?
after nearly 2 years of ownership (and a mere 1 mile walked), the glue is just fine. sole holding up good.
they are good for the desert as they are very breathable. they'd be good for a summer hiking shoe

Heard they are hella comfy. haha appreciate the field test review.
are these good for general use on pavements and such???
Yeah they’ve held up great
I heard that they are slippery in city roads, do you think i will have a problem ?
I’ve worn these is wet conditions and I’ve experienced no slippage
@@corbincore thank you!
In smooth wet surfaces they slide a lot. As expected to be honest.
I bought them 5 months before, they are perfect, I am using them everywhere.
Only one time outside of a church (marble tile) they felt slippery.
@@user-cf9yw1wu4i yeah, if a cat has traction problems on a surface, expect you too.
They are funny when they spinning like crazy!

I used them for work I do a lot of walking they only last me 2 months disappointed 😔
I’m getting a pair - Thanks ..!!
You do realise you put the laces in the tongue theres a pocket there surprised alot of people didn't know that.
Bladee
Honestly thought these were sketchers
I wore these around my mom and she asked if they were! lol for real
Corbin still fire bro!
You look like bladee and it’s tripping me out
MDR.... a smoker/crack addict is teaching us about TRAINERS AND TRAINING 😂😂😂😂😂
They wear out too fast.
Are these OK for hiking on pavement and hills? Thanks
yes. after months of wearing them they have held up good on pavement and are supportive
