I started ballet when I was 13, really chubby and without a single flexible bone in my body. I'm now 16 and countless hours of stretching, staying late at the studio practicing, and -15kg later, I just found out I'll be dancing my first ever variation. I relate so deeply to your channel, keep going and dont ever stop because once we're so lucky to have found this passion many people spend their whole lives searching for.
BEAUTIFULLY said. Congratulations on all of these accomplishments. You seem like a very hard worker and you deserve all of this success and more! Your first variation, that's HUGE!!
Your journey of starting ballet as an adult has been deeply inspiring to me, and I just had my first few classes at age 29 (30 in a couple months!). Seeing you get to do nutcracker feels truly heart warming. Would you mind talking a little bit about what you do for conditioning outside of ballet? do you go to the gym or do any type of stretching etc.
i started ballet a year ago at 13 and just did my first nutcracker performance last night! my first every classes were with all adult begginers like you and they all ended up being party scene parents this year as well 🎀💗 i love watching your videos because they really resonate with me even though we are very different ages!
Growing up I was told I would never be able to do pointe because my feet were too flexible so I stopped dancing. Now im in my early 20s and learned maybe I could do pointe with a lot of conditioning and the right shoes. Seeing your journey has been so inspiring and makes me want to give it another shot as well. Thank you
Wishing you all the best on your journey. Don't let the naysayers get you down, I've had people in some classes that didn't have a foot AT ALL. If they can find a way to dance, I'm SURE you can!
This is so cool !! I'm in my early teens and I've been wanting to start ballet so bad but I'm not very flexible. I still really want to start and hopefully one day dance in the nutcracker like you!!.
It’s so heartwarming seeing you achieve your dreams and being in the nutcracker! ❤❤ Never been in the nutcracker either but already dancing for so long. My school doesn’t do these classical ballets so it has always been a dream of mine to be in a classical ballet like the nutcracker. And now seeing you makes me so so happy! ❤🫶🏻
I love this! I have been dancing since i was 3 years old and in all of my time i have never sceen anyone with such an amazing personality! You are what I aspire to be , because im going into medical school and dropping dance. So i would love to regain it at an older age! YOU SLAY!
Awwww you are FAR too kind! Thank you so so much and best of luck on your medical school journey! Dance will always be there for you when you’re ready to return to it💕
@@VeronicaViccorabecause I am a musician and not a dancer but I’ve always loved ballet, I worked for the city ballet company and for a few years while they still did it, I was in charge for their live snow scene chorus! It was always the young girls who were not in the snow scene and I got to enjoy dozens of nutcracker shows and it NEVER GOT OLD LOL one of my favorite ballets and I’m so sad we don’t have live singers anymore in the snow scene 😢
i love your videos!! i started making art as an adult and im currently on a journey to trying to get into an art school (a big dream of mine). so not a dancer but your story is so inspiring to me !!!
Absolutely love you freestyling and, in the best way, it reminds me of witches dancing in the forest with no regard for how anything looks, all emotion and feeling. And what comes out is beautiful :) Also thanks for doing what you do as you are a part of the reason I’m restarting ballet at age 29!
That is the BEST compliment haha thank you! And it really does feel so freeing! And it’s soooooo good to hear you’re restarting! That’s such a huge accomplishment 🎀🥰🩰
I’m so glad they are giving you guys good choreography! A lot of adults beginners complain when they get cast in that role I am so glad you appreciate how every role is important!! Being an adult beginner is tough I’m so glad you guys have that great choreographer he’s wonderful
He is FANTASTIC! And yes I’m just grateful to have a dancing part at all! When I realized we actually got to do some fun choreography I was SO excited. It’s such a special thing to be a part of and I really appreciate all your enthusiasm. Thank you💕💕
I am so happy for you! When I saw the thumbnail for this video I almost screamed! You are such an inspiration! I started ballet when I was 14 and I'm 21 now, and I was never really good because I had no self confidence, but I've improved a lot recently and it's my dream to become a dancer even though I know I started late and I'm less skilled and experienced than other dancers my age. I love watching your videos. When I feel down your videos remind me to keep following my dreams, because they may not lead to success, but just the process of learning and the joy of the journey make it worth it anyway. Congratulations!
