Hey Kristen, wanted to let you know that I received your downsizing list. A friend & I spent a day & a half working in my bedroom. Have the cedar chest cleared out. Most of my closet. Blankets & pillows I don't need. Sending a lot of my clothes to "thred up", an online consignment shop. I've gone through a lot of my stuff but then got overwhelmed. You broke it down into 'bites I can chew' instead of going after it helter skelter. I recommend your list for everyone whether they're getting ready to hit the road or just want to down size. I'm now motivated with more clarity. Can't thank you enough. Happy Trails or Waves wherever you're calling home today. 😉 hugs
Thanks for this; we're deciding whether to get a new small trailer or a van, but, the new B-class ones are unrealistic in price. This shows a great option as an 'in-between' choice. We took our family all over Canada and the US in our 17 foot trailer but would rather have a more 'stealth' option now that our kids are in university and we are on our own.
Yes that type of material will retain odors. If you’re going to use any type of fabric or woven material you’re gonna need to use it in a way that it can be removed and cleaned on occasion
Wait a minute the marketing person at adventure wagon just they take five days to install so how in the world do you think that a DIYer is gonna do it in four days. have you watched their install video I think you’d be lucky to do it in two weeks. at one point in their install video they basically just tell you to wing it. They always tell you how easy it is to relocate their bed but they never show you how hard it is of course chicken say it’s easy. let’s a video of it being done in real time and let’s see how many people it takes to do it.
The problems with DIY camper van conversions is modularity. Say that you take our custom DIY van out for a tour of the uS, you’ve built it up to our own needs, and you have a pretty good time living in it. BUT what happens if you have to replace the entire van minus the items you put into it, so now you; re thousands of dollars, not to mention a new van, and what of the items you have in your van? So in my opinion, the idea of a DIY van that is not modular in that it can be pulled out and replaced is stupid, from a financial point of view……
Your audio quality is horrible. Could’nt you get the flatline people to turn off some of that machinery? Why did you continue with that noise in the background when you were just talking about their website?

Totally agree! You can pretty much build out an entire van interior with interior kits these days
