Burn Rooster does have some truth and is very right, and MAN his voice is awesome! And I mean think about it. Even the smallest thing a reploid may do, they automatically gotta be called maverick. I bet just if a reploid catches a small attitude they're called that. Maverick this, maverick that, we all make mistakes, no ones perfect.
While that is a good point, most of the Reploids X, Zero and Axl fought were indeed Maverick. They wanted to harm humans and gain power for themselves. Nevertheless, I do wonder as well how fair the rules are when it comes to Reploids being labeled Maverick. Reploids like the Colonel and Epsilon were not fairly judged just for wanting to do their own thing and be independent.
Jonathan83X to be fair most of the mavericks were infected with the sigma virus which originated from Zero. Sigma got infected and wasn't aware, passing it on with most reploids he came in contact.
Oh Man-Of-War. . I always felt bad killing him just cuz how clueless he was. . .or maybe the actor was the same one from ghost in the shell as voicing the tachikomas? Hmmmmm.
I find it incredibly odd that the Mavericks show interest in Axl but not X. I get that Axl is a prototype of the new gen reploids but X is far more powerful than Axl ever would be. It could also be due to the fact that they don't wanna hear X bitch and moan about violence.
X was the leader of madvrick hunters, but he was still unable to find the issue with the enemy untill it is too late. Axl was more level headed to realize something wrong with logic in them to be able to decide an emergency action.
Sigma sure knows how to influence his followers. I can imagine he couldn't have gain trust in so many reploids without having a bacground as a Maverick Hunter supreme commander.
I just realized this game was inspired off of The Paradise Lost Epic Poem Jakob's Elevator = Jacob's Ladder Bamboo Pandamonium = Pandamonium capital of hell in Paradise Lost Subtitle is obvious
Hah, I always loved how Sigma told Axl "Only 'WE' new reploids may live in this new world." It's ironic considering he originally was the very first reploid, created by Cain based on X's design (hence the term "reploid" for "replica android")... But of course, that just may have been the real new-gen reploid in disguise and not just Sigma talking through it.
He wasn't the first Reploid. I think he might have been the first Maverick Hunter, but he definitely wasn't the first Reploid- he was specifically built to fight Mavericks.
Yeah, but the backstory of MMX1 from the manual indicates that the creation of Reploids and the first Reploids to go Maverick were before Sigma is created.
Oh. Hmm... I dunno where I read that from then, I just had that in the back of my head for the longest time. Oh well. It's still ironic, though, considering Sigma was still among some of the oldest reploids anyway.
Yeah, I think he *might* have been the first Maverick Hunter, so that may be where you got mixed up from. Or maybe it's different in the Japanese version or something. But yeah, he is one of the oldest. And ironically, like the New Gen Reploids, he was specifically designed to be unable to go Maverick (which, obviously, didn't work out very well.)
Inafune left CapCom, losing such a large pillar like that really put a dent into the company. Also don't we all remember Azure Striker Gunvolt was a thing?
Every "Non-Maverick" in this game: I'm not evil but I'm still gonna do things for this evil guy who knows that its evil. Me: But you're doing evil for evil. "NM": its my choice! I'm telling you, I'm not maverick!!! I can do all this evil and you can't label me as maverick because I'm a new model that can't go maverick and youre an old model that still judges!!! Me: Okay, I feel like a parent arguing with a whiny adolescent just being pressured by some cool kids at school. Who wrote this?
Notice how none of them ever actually confirm Sigma is their master by name and seem to almost dismiss him when his name is mentioned. That was your first clue that something bigger is going on. Makes you question if it really was Sigma you were fighting on the moon base and not just some recreation that thought it was Sigma made by Lumine.
It was extremely obvious they were referring to Lumine anyway. That creep literally shows up from the first cutscenes, you look at him surrounded with Sigma copies. How much bigger of a giveaway could that be? lol
@@damsen978Lumine's introduction has him standing in the midst of an army of Sigmas, with fire draped across the background and ominous music playing. It's almost comically obvious from the get-go that he's evil.
In re-watching this dialogue, is it me, or do the 8 bosses themselves never acknowledge Sigma by name? And when they actually talk about "master", are they actually referring to Lumine?
@@rockmanbeta8055 I see why you think that, but I'm thinking Sigma, not Lumine. In Mega Man X2, Agile, one of the three X-Hunters, yells, "Master, avenge me!" before exploding upon defeating him in the X-Hunter Fortress. It becomes clear that he is referring to Sigma when Sigma reveals to have been revived. Considering how X8 makes the Hunters (and the player) think that all the chaos is mostly Sigma's doing before the big reveal, it most likely points to Sigma. He even refers to the new-generation Reploids as his "children" and even explains why he did so when you finally encounter him!
God Burn Roosters line actually make me route for the Mavericks. Because damn, think about all the repliods, X, Zero and Axl have killed across 8 games.
Kyle Eversfield Not helped by Zero's reply, wich boils down to "not a f**k given". I mean seriously, i got a laugh here of how much of a jerk he sounded.
10:17 That delivery is amazing. Its as if you can feel that Burn Rooster got to X with his sentence and X begrudingly cuts back while thinking about the lives he's put down. Mark Gatha is amazing.
X is the embodiment of Lawful Good. He takes no pleasure in destroying Mavericks, but he has to do it in order to protect humanity. There is no room for grey areas. If you are a threat to humans, you gotta go. And X is tired of it. He’s seen it all and it really comes through in that line.
Yeah but even then mavericks are instantly treated as below everything like how zero says that the plan is too complicated for mavericks to understand as if there all of the sudden stupid
@@elementmanexe8389 Because they are berserked terrorists basically. They go haywire and try to get things imploding. I think the biggest part of being maverick is the ability of breaking the first rule of robotics. This rule is referenced as early as X1.
Weren't Mavericks basically suffering from the Sigma Virus or faulty programming or something? I know the reason for Reploids going maverick was changed in MHX, but what was the original reason?
@@whatshappeninganymore2473 some of them is suffering by the virus ( gigabolt O'Manowar) , others become mavericks (breaking robots laws) by they own free will ( chill penguin for example ) . Maverick is just a term to robots that break some robot laws , in megaman zero this lines is way more blurry , they are just following orders , enjoying destruction , mentally changed , etc.
HELL YEAH for the PAYBACK TO VILE "Ride armor vs Vile" Not so tough when YOU are fighting against a Ride armor arent you?? and he had the guts to call X Weak back in X1
Yeah. He makes good points but he's not working to change the status quo, he's only trying to change who the face at the top is. Everything would essentially be the same, so his arguments don't mean anything if he doesn't truly believe in it
I love how the antagonists in this game come up with speeches about how they're not Mavericks, only for and X and co to be like "Nope, that's Maverick talk". Lol
Not really hypocrites, but they're methods are questionable. Any Reploid that shows a sign of being Maverick gets iced on the spot, no hesitation. I'd say it's going over the line, but after everything that X and Zero have gone through, especially with the Earth being almost completely wiped out just 3 games ago, can you blame them really? And also it was revealed all these Reploids were just extensions of Sigma himself through their copy chips. So they were definitely Maverick.
I may not like to post again so soon but let me point this out. In the Avalanche Yeti cutscenes pay attention to the area in front of their faces. You can see their breaths... *They're breathing. These are robots breathing*... How does that work underwater?
lol! Well, considering they're electrical (for lack of better word) probably not. Then again, most of the Earth in 21xx seems to lack a lot of nature, as Alia pointed out in X5 in one of the stages..Butttt I'm sure it's a guarantee with the new gen reploids that even though they might be hazardous to humans, they could be environmentally friendly as an added feature? XDDD "we may have the will to decide to cause harm, but we're all green!" ahah
Fuck burnt roaster dialogues are fucking sad and even more after you renember that maverick hunters wiped down the entairly repliforce only by a miss-understanding
(my version, please understand) Avalanche Yeti: My master has plans for you Zero. Zero: Aside for being a slave that beating another robots? I'll pass Me: It seems that Zero knows that he's only capabilities are to destroy, now I know why he doesnt want to fight anymore.
These pre-boss battle conversations were what kept me playing numerous times back when I was a teen. And I never regretted playing this over and over again.
Poor Burn Rooster... He has a point and his anger comes from a place of empathy and compassion for his own kind. His priorities and way of going about the situation are just a bit off. The more I revisit Megaman X and it's story, the more I side with the Mavericks.
Well Sigma made his choice of becoming a maverick himself before the X series began, so with his chip, the new gens can make a choice to be one or not, but since Sigma is messing with their head with his convoluted plan, they pretty much follow him.
Earthrock Trilobyte: The minerals we mine here are essential to the development of space. I don't suppose a half-baked prototype like you could guess what I'm getting at. "To change the world? Sounds like Maverick talk to me!"
X,x,x why does everybody like that guy
Oh Man-Of-War. . I always felt bad killing him just cuz how clueless he was. . .or maybe the actor was the same one from ghost in the shell as voicing the tachikomas? Hmmmmm.
MetalPcAngel Asides the guilt of killing him you should hear his Japanese voice where he sounds more like...... An alien or demon or something
What's this theme that playing here?
16:36 it's cool to hear characters talking casually instead of being dramatic, sounds less scripted and more natural imo
I find it incredibly odd that the Mavericks show interest in Axl but not X. I get that Axl is a prototype of the new gen reploids but X is far more powerful than Axl ever would be. It could also be due to the fact that they don't wanna hear X bitch and moan about violence.
X is a bitch in X7, but he's far more ruthless here.
@@shaitet bamboo legit just wants to talk and x is calling him a maverick
Whoa, X is a badass here.
@@gamingwithlittlepigrobloxa2593 Well, can you blame X? He's had to put Sigma down 7 times already by this point.
I just realized this game was inspired off of The Paradise Lost Epic Poem
Jakob's Elevator = Jacob's Ladder
Bamboo Pandamonium = Pandamonium capital of hell in Paradise Lost
Subtitle is obvious
+tailsofUSSR21 Dont forget Lumine's move Paradise Lost!
Austin Vargas Yeah
What's that
thank you
I will thanks
The guitar on the background is amazing , x8 have such underrated osts .
Remember Mavericks also included stuff like mechaniloids.
17:17 hahahaha
Zero just roasts Vile the entire time
Who got here after watching the compilation of TERRIBLE voice acting in X7 and was like Oh thank God ! This is a masterpiece in comparison" ?
***** Ben who? I think his voice fits him well.
ME!!!
Yep
I did!
X8 bosses in a nutshell:''I'm not a maverick, i just want to kill a fuck ton of people''.
x1, x4 and x8 are my favorites in the series. Sigh Capcom.....I know it is impossible but I want x9.
because x7 was so bad that more fan don´t buy it anymore
MrDarkSol it's not impossible.
Same thing as me. My favorites are also X1, X4 and X8
Inafune left CapCom, losing such a large pillar like that really put a dent into the company. Also don't we all remember Azure Striker Gunvolt was a thing?
wish granted
I love how Zero just doesn't give a fuck about the Mavericks and I love how he's just so blunt. That's why Zero is my favorite MegaMan X character.
^ I also like him because he's so awesome with the Z-Saber.
Amen! Also, your name is beautiful~
After losing Iris, he stopped giving a fuck about a lot.
In summery that's how bad people look at themselves, their are not the bad ones.
I agree, the series was going in the right direction,if only they had released one more game after this one, with the same theme
Dude that makes a lot of sense!
@@rockmanbeta8055
I see why you think that, but I'm thinking Sigma, not Lumine.
Almost, but not really. The hunters say to Trilobite "Why are you mining these for Sigma?", and he's like "You dare question my master?!".
@@redblack8766 now I wonder if its an translation issue or just inconsistence in the plot xD
@@slimballs9650 Personally, I always thought that Lumine was Sigma's puppet. Like a Sith apprentice molded by his master.
"The minerals we Mine here are essential to the development of space"
"what do you plan to do with these rare resources?"
Zero: Maverick.
Mantis: No.
Zero: Yes.
Mantis: No!
Vile Mk3 : Don't you ever get tired of the whole "justice" thing?
Zero: (unfazed) Don't you ever get tired of being Sigma's lap dog?
*Shots fired*
God Burn Roosters line actually make me route for the Mavericks. Because damn, think about all the repliods, X, Zero and Axl have killed across 8 games.
Kyle Eversfield I KNOW! BURN ROOSTER IS BADASS!!!!!
Kyle Eversfield Not helped by Zero's reply, wich boils down to "not a f**k given". I mean seriously, i got a laugh here of how much of a jerk he sounded.
NEVER Piss off Burn Rooster.
+Aaron Kinnick it makes me mad that favorite Mavericks possibly EVEN STORM EAGLE gets their remains dumped here
Even Magma Dragoon, who didn't deserve to die!
10:17
That delivery is amazing. Its as if you can feel that Burn Rooster got to X with his sentence and X begrudingly cuts back while thinking about the lives he's put down. Mark Gatha is amazing.
Rooster triggered X's PTSD
Mark Gatha's performance is amazing, but im actually worried if the next X game (if it ever happen), can someone even tops Mark Gatha's performance.
X is the embodiment of Lawful Good. He takes no pleasure in destroying Mavericks, but he has to do it in order to protect humanity. There is no room for grey areas. If you are a threat to humans, you gotta go. And X is tired of it. He’s seen it all and it really comes through in that line.
@isaacfaith9369 It's fuking fiction kid. You are delusional
I never realized how racist "Maverick" sounded until all the clips were put together.
"Comes in handy whipping you Mavericks".
Whoever did the voice acting for Pandamonium is awesome! Double thumbs up for that guy. Antonion's good too.
CHANGE THE WORLD? WITH DESTRUCTION? LEAVE IT TO A MAVERICK TO COME UP WITH THAT! Zero's favorite thing to say
HELL YEAH for the PAYBACK TO VILE "Ride armor vs Vile" Not so tough when YOU are fighting against a Ride armor arent you?? and he had the guts to call X Weak back in X1
Bamboo Pandamonium: did you know that the earliest form of rocketry was missiles used for war??
X: ....I don’t give a fuck.
9:55-10:31
Burn Rooster made an excellent point
+George Washington that's maverick talk!
4:12-6:24 Gravity Antonion seems to only be interested in the progress of his work.
Yeah. He makes good points but he's not working to change the status quo, he's only trying to change who the face at the top is. Everything would essentially be the same, so his arguments don't mean anything if he doesn't truly believe in it
Burn rooster has such a epic voice
Like a pissed-off Blaziken...
@@romariodesrosier1450 burn rooster voice kinda fits blaziken
Sounds like Earthrock Trilobyte plays too much Starcraft
Do you know that the minerals they mine is essential in the development of space?
''The minerals we mine here are essential to the development of additional pylons''
Venatus Not enough minerals
@@tailsofUSSR21 stranger.
You have not enough minerals.
You must construct additional pylons.

Iris: Asshole!
X8’s Zero has no chills :))))
I love how the antagonists in this game come up with speeches about how they're not Mavericks, only for and X and co to be like "Nope, that's Maverick talk". Lol
X and Zero are hypocrites
Not really hypocrites, but they're methods are questionable. Any Reploid that shows a sign of being Maverick gets iced on the spot, no hesitation. I'd say it's going over the line, but after everything that X and Zero have gone through, especially with the Earth being almost completely wiped out just 3 games ago, can you blame them really? And also it was revealed all these Reploids were just extensions of Sigma himself through their copy chips. So they were definitely Maverick.
@@Azure-Dragon_ Yes they are hypocrites
Ok burn rooster did prove some points tbh
Zero is such a bad-ass!

Zero: * Noticed Mantisk's left scythe clipping through his leg *... Nothing...
i'm fucking dying at Zero's dialogue. XD
Lol
Man has Zero chill
My right ear is enjoying this
Wow, Bamboo Pandemonium kinda makes ya think about certain things..
I may not like to post again so soon but let me point this out.
In the Avalanche Yeti cutscenes pay attention to the area in front of their faces. You can see their breaths... *They're breathing. These are robots breathing*... How does that work underwater?
maybe what looks like breath is actually like an exhaust pipe on a car? XD
If that's the case, then I wonder if there are any concerns of reploids causing global warming?

Pandemonium is like Po from Kung Fu Panda with a mecha suit and more Zen X) I love MM X8. Definitely one of my favorite video games ^^
Reploid that isn't a Maverick Hunter: exists
X: Maverick.
Zero: Maverick.
Axl: Maverick.
The Voices of the Mavericks are awesome.

Avalanche Yeti: My master has plans for you Zero.
Zero: Aside for being a slave that beating another robots? I'll pass
Me: It seems that Zero knows that he's only capabilities are to destroy, now I know why he doesnt want to fight anymore.
These pre-boss battle conversations were what kept me playing numerous times back when I was a teen. And I never regretted playing this over and over again.
I like it that some repliods talk about sigma's interest in zero it tells us that sigma still wants zero to join his side
And Zero still doesn't want to join Sigma side.
Every thing is maverick
*Sings in Batman's voice*
"Everything is cool when you're maverick..."
Why does Pandamonium sound like Smoky Bear? "In our new world, only my master can prevent forest fires."
Gigabolt Man-o-War sounds like a little kid. :D
yeah i can tell
yeah
What if he is?
Look in the wiki and you'll see he is voiced by a female
Also in his japanese voice he sounds like an alien
So this game had the beta of "Change the world sounds like maverick talk to me"
4:46 Anthony NOOO...is the only named one
-epic voice guy in the antman honest trailer
optic sunflower is the only female maverick in the mega man x series.
thats a dude
He's a femboy like Lumine lol
Poor Burn Rooster... He has a point and his anger comes from a place of empathy and compassion for his own kind. His priorities and way of going about the situation are just a bit off. The more I revisit Megaman X and it's story, the more I side with the Mavericks.
Just wanna give a thank you for taking the time and recording all these. But my favorite part was the epic pwnage of Vile.
Well Sigma made his choice of becoming a maverick himself before the X series began, so with his chip, the new gens can make a choice to be one or not, but since Sigma is messing with their head with his convoluted plan, they pretty much follow him.
Aw man....
He's gone off the deep end
2nd best Zero quote
Earthrock Trilobyte: The minerals we mine here are essential to the development of space. I don't suppose a half-baked prototype like you could guess what I'm getting at.
Axl: You Mavericks never made a lick of sense to me.
Earthrock Trilobyte: I've been chosen and you've been left behind. You'll never be as brilliant as me!
vile:don't you ever get tried of the whole justice thing?
zero:don't you ever get tried of being sigma's lap dog XD zero got no chill
Thoughts on the Maverick's voices
Earthrock Trilobite: Pretty good
Dark Mantis: Super Serious
Gravity Antonion: Noble and honest
Gigabolt Man-O-War: Just adorable
Avalanche Yeti: Calm but serious
Burn Rooster: Great enthusiasm
Bamboo Pandamonium: Pretty persuasive
Optic Sunflower: Elegant in explanations
Vile: Awesome like before
Sigma: Still intimidating
I wish Zero has armor capsules so we can see Wily talking to Zero...well it's just a pre-recorded message but Zero would be feeling that after the message
"What whishes for destruction...ist this world"
The more I listen to the conversations between the Maverick Hunters and New Generation Reploids, the more I feel that their actions might be that of a Maverick. 😓
