- This 1956 Disneyland episode illustrates the history of cats, from their veneration as sacred icons in the Egypt of 4000 years ago to their important role in the realm of superstition. Some of the cartoon footage later resurfaced in the 1982 Disney TV special "A Disney Halloween."

Oh God, I remember this from when I was a young child… we’d always try to get our cats’ attention the way that Egyptian man did. “Cat-cat! Cat-cat!”

This was actually way back in like the 60's or something. They just used to play old Disney shows like this back in the 90's on Disney Channel late at night. I miss that too.
@@hissignaturestudios6869 This was why I thought Walt was still alive when I was little. I was still seeing him on TV sometimes and on my VHSes. Boy was I wrecked the day I found out he had died long before I was born.
I love cats and dogs and I appreciate how Walt Disney Crew animates them especially for these fun documentaries!

That was actually deceptively simple. ^^ You'd just have to know how to draw the frames that way in those times for the most part. OR... There may have been a process where the background was on the fore and the foreground behind the background, only viewable through a cut-out of the column but I think that that might not have been the case.

urrab I have seen my cats do the same thing and seen lions eating a baby antelope and water bison while they were still very mush alive.

The title of "Most Savage" probably belongs to some invertebrate... as do a lot of other titles.

They didn't go extinct, they just modernized like everyone else and most converted to Islam. They still exist as a people genetically linked to their ancestors who lived in Egypt back then.

Yeah, cats are not fully domesticated despite thousands of years of selective breeding. Unlike dogs, they can survive on their own.

Congratz on the marriage!!! But... why can't the cat come along with her? I feel kind of sad for the cat even being left in good hands... A loving cat loves their owner like a parent. That might be hard on the cat emotionally and I'm sure your future wife would miss her cat, too...

With his love for animals being heavily attached to dogs I really didn't expect Walt to go for a cat documentary... He's been surprising me these last few days. I also didn't expect him to have no qualms about discussing people believing in a religion other than Christianity and I certainly never expected him to know about the true roots of my favorite holiday (he knew that the world of the dead has easiest access to the world of the living on October 31st and that spooked me coming from him). It's like a whole new Walt I hadn't learned about in books is opening up to me with Disney+... Because now, I have more access than I did with RUclips to some of his older shows. I'm only understanding more and more why I like him so much!!
Also, I love cats, too. I have four of them here and now and lately my one boy cat has been obsessed with me. He normally doesn't like to be loved on or to give much love back but now he gets excited to see me, lets me pet him and will jump down from wherever he is at to rub up against my legs and look up at me in the most heart-melting way possible.
