Somehow I dislike sidemounts. The truth is I would go for it in 4-6 bottles set (deep technical diving and having easy access to air tanks). But then many other configurations are used. Nowadays for deep diving, rebreather is preferred and again configuration may use side mount, or may not. In cave/wreck diving low vertical profile will be of course preferred. Otherwise side mount is just for style, making as less agile, those side-bottles are annoying during dive, as I said pros - it has smaller vertical profile (for wreck/cave important), nothing practical on a daily basis. For sides I prefer to put scrubbers.
I'm looking forward to rebreather one day. We do a lot of cave diving here in North Florida. I feel this setup would be good in open water where there is current also. Having a great instructor has made this an awesome experience.
Great video!
Lookin good!
