- Slideshow of images taken by Christopher Palmieri during the Memphis NRHS Chapter sponsored "City of Grenada" photo special featuring a passenger train painted in the famous Chocolate-and-Brown colors of the Illinois Central. The show is set to the music of Steve Goodman's song "City of New Orleans" performed by Arlo Guthrie.
Excellent production! When I heard the song and saw those E8 beauties, the hair on my arms stood up! Keep up the good work.
Brings back so many wonderful memories of riding th he IC in my childhood when my Dad and Grandfather worked for this railroad just south of Grenada. Thank you for this great video!
I was on that train. It was an awesome experience. My first rail fan oriented train excursion. Took lots of pictures and videos but not as good as these. Great video!!!
Awesome ! The IC had the most beautiful and tastefully done passenger colors , IMO ..
Nicely done feature. I was very lucky to make the same trip in June of that year, with a slightly different consist. Wonderful trip!
Very, very nicely done. Beautiful subject matter too. I usually don't care for music on top of train videos... but what better song for this! Thumbs up.
Fantastic production. The old cast Nathan P5 horns on these locomotives were provided by Five Chime Consultants.

Most enjoyable. Thanks.
Really awesome! Shows how attractive Mississippi can be in winter if the sky is clear.

Wonderful, very well done, that train looks fantastic and very well restored.

Excellent!
Wonderful video. Just wish that we could have gotten more images from the interior apart from that brief view inside the bar car.
nice
Why #59/#58 don't go through Granada anymore?
I thought that the name of the song was 'City of Grenada.'
No, dummy. It's the "City of New Orleans.' (By the way, Grenada is in northcentral Mississippi, just east of I-55.)
