After six hours of waiting in line a trucker will arrive and cut right in front of you get loaded and leave while you still wait then comes the dinner time for the longshore then you still wait. After dinner he will come and give you the wrong can. Then you go to roadablity another hour. Then when you try to leave you realize you have the wrong can.By now 8 hrs has passed.

I’m curious about the typical day/runs. Do you grab multiple containers in a day or is it grab one and spend the rest of the day delivering it? This is the way I’m leaning after I get my CDL in February. Ty for the great video and info.
Hello bro 😎 . Can you name the names of each terminal and what kind of conteinners you pick up from each terminal. And asking cus I’m going to start working picking up from the port in L.A

Interesting, I've never seen Seattle from this perspective.

10:27 Um. The dented tailgate of the white quarter-ton pickup truck on the far right is not a reassuring optic. . .just saying.
Oh I've got one for you Brian! If you're waiting to get on the scale but you have to use the bathroom like #2 where would you go?
Which place is this? i haven't seen a 4 axle container trailer yet til now...lol.. kinda overkilled?
Could you make a video of picking up the chassis and that whole process?
I don't do port trucking anymore
@@Lifeofbrian i wonder why
@@Lifeofbrian how come you don't do port no more

Depends. I did some where I would just grab a can and go for the day. And then days where I would grab 3 or 4 out in a day between Seattle and tacoma
Nice video brain this is the video that I been looking for
Do I need mentor or trainer to start this job
Thanks for your information
Not really, just might be a pain until you learn where the rows are in the ports
If you are in a trimal and your driving hours runs out what happens.

Have you started yet? Where do you work, what company?
So. . .the "Man On Foot" is to warn gantry operator is to caution them to be careful. . .and not point out potential targets. . .right? right?? 🤔🤷♂️😏
Hi Brian, from your side, how do you receive info or order to pick up container on port?
Dispatcher gives us all info
good video, what city was that, where you headed?
Seattle
I think this is Baltimore Md
Nope, Seattle
No. Can't be. In Baltimore they don't use trailers with four axles.
"Nedlloyd" sounds like a cartoon character
What city is that bro??
Tacoma Washington
So no roadabilty if u have your own chassis not safe at all
Actually it's safer as most company owned chassis are maintained better than the ports

When you have your own chassis stop at your mechanic before entering the port. Or when you leave the port.
Wait wait wait. So you got a loaded 20 and you showed us about the pin locking and thanks. But if its loaded then where was your zip ties?😒
Zip ties. Only people with bad chassis use zip ties
Life of Brian accidents happen with that attitude! Better safe than sorry!
RIP 46
Port sucks i left this shit 3 yrs ago i no longer talk to myself.
