🙋🏻Would you please Review the Nike ‘Jam?’ It is the 1st Nike shoe, Specifically Designed for Breaking (for its Olympic Debut this year), and it is only 1 of 2 Nike shoes that I know of, made specifically for Dancing (the other being the Nike ‘Sesh’). I'd love to see your take on its feel/functionality in regards to Dancing (and maybe see your style in Dancing in them) 🎵🕺🏻💃🏻👟🤔🤓🖖🏼
Hey, can you do a review on the Nike G.T. Jump 2 if you don’t mind. They look really good to play in but I want to know if they are worth the $180. And also can you review the Nike Cosmic Unity Natural Grey they want $200 for those 🤦🏽♀️ but are they worth the price as well?
The fact that he’s taking basketball lessons in the name of science is mind blowing. I’ve got actual basketball players that won’t take lessons to improve themselves.
@@pumapath2282I’m not going to speak on Sammy but there’s older under 6ft 38-39 yo guys out there that took lessons with my trainer. They own their own businesses and just got money to burn I guess. Fast forward to today. No real improvement in their games and they are over 40yo now but still hooping . Stopped using training services though.
The fact that you’re picking up training is going to expand your content MASSIVELY!! I look forward to you picking up league games and giving even more in-depth insight into the reviews. You’ve carved out a niche that I’m locked in for Doc 🤞🏾🤞🏾
Sneaker brands should consider doing special sneakers with sneaker guys like Foot Doctor Zach and others. It would be fun to see a Jordan 39 X Foot Doctor Zach or something.
Yeah would be super cool if they bring some structural changes according to observations of Foot Doctor Zach. Not just colorway/change mesh as sneaker makers usually do.
Been waiting for these since the 2s. I owned the 1s and 2s. Personally I liked the 2s more once they broke in, because of the stability and support they have. But the 1s are lower to the ground and make me feel quicker. So I'm excited to try these
Very similar to Adidas drose son of chi 3. Not the lightest shoe, kinda bulky, excellent grip, identical upper material, wide foot friendly, traps heat, nice mix of bounce and shock absorption.
I would live to see a series of you testing some shoes from the 90's for fun. I remember the Penny's from back in the mid 90's being the worst shoes for dust accumulation!
The main improvement for me was that the 1 and 2 were incredibly stiff shoes and the 3 is much more comfortable while still having great support elements
I’m really curious why Luka didn’t want play in them in finals? Maybe they need to be broken in? They definitely look like an upgrade from his previous shoes.
He didn't play in them because these shoes are new and he might not be familiar with them as much as he is to his older shoes. Thats why he didn't play in them
Whats the difference between this and Luka 1's? Other than the durability, I loved my Luka 1's from day one. Then they seemed to veer hard on the 2, the 3 looks closer to the 2. Thoughts?
Doc, if I'm understanding what you said around the 10:35ish mark. If you play on the ball of your feet more than your heel below the midfoot, you are slightly more protected against Achilles injuries. You didn't say that but is that what I can take from what you said?
In this instance he is saying that the foam in the heel could bottom out and sink lower than the rest of your foot, which stretches your achilles. Playing like that will put increased tensions on your achilles, which is risky. In general running on your heels/heel stricking as your run is not a optimal way to run fast but does take pressure off your achilles. If your constantly on your toes and pushing through the ball of your foot with the heel off the ground - its great for speed and explosiveness but will naturally put more force through your achilles. Midfoot striking is the middle ground.
Great review Dr Zach, always given us great quality content!! 💪🏿🧠💯 Cannot wait for the review of the Li-Ning Bad Five 3.0 Ultra those are bad boys !!!🏆 I saw Li-Ning BD 4 regular version coff coff ...
I just picked these up on sale for $60 at the Nike Clearance store. Compared to my main shoe (GT cut 3) the lockdown is better but not as tacky. Also no Achilles soreness vs GT after two hours of play (I have Powerstep Pulse Maxx in both)
Hey dr Zach. I have extremely bad planter fasciitis. I have had it for almost 15 year without any success of getting rid of it. Can you recommend a basketball shoe that would provide the most comfort . I'm also flat footed
Try getting some dry needling done on your calves, tibs (outer shin muscle) and TFL in your hip. The flat feet cause the tib muscle to tighten, then the calves get chronically tight cause heaps of other issues. I've had plantar on and off for years as well as achilles pain to go with it and this has been whats helped along with general strengthening exercises. The Puma all Pro Nitro (Translucent soles for indoors) was the first shoe in years i played in that didn't give me foot pain. Currently trying out the fresh foam bbv2
@@lyinbobbycottonseed watched it through, just wondering if the taper really makes a difference in a wide foot. I’m not really sure how toe box width compares relative to other shoes since there aren’t stats on those shoes for them, so I was just wondering.
The 1s are straight up better, but being a signature athlete they have to make a new shoe every year for marketing. The fact that he wore the 1s when it mattered most says everything you need to know.
1’s have more response, 2’s felt like an injury prevention shoe. With my gait cycle, the 2’s felt very clunky. If he’s looking to maximize performance for the playoffs, the 1’s would be my pick, too.
This seems similar to the Luka 2 which is similar to the Luka 1 lol. Glad to see they could find what works well for him in his shoes and stay consistent with it
Just imagine all the money Nike is saving by not putting in "expensive" tech in performance shoes. I guess they figured nobody would notice now that no one is buying them. 🗑🔥
@lyinbobbycottonseed The big wigs at Nike are too focus on profit margin rather than providing a competitive superior product. Are they having a material supplier issue that other companies aren't having? Are they overweight in staffing? Other performance companies don't seem to have the problems Nike has or they have figured it out and Nike hasn't yet. Because no other company is removing tech from the y2y models, yet Nike has the balls to continue to increase MSRPs y2y. I'm just surprised there are some people still buying new models rather than buying better discounted older models.
@MillzTheAthlete the competition doesn't use air so I wouldn't be surprised if Nike is removing the very tech that makes them popular to be competitive.
Great video as always, Doc! Really respect how youre working on your game too. Just wondering though, Luka has been using the 1s even during the Finals so it makes me a bit reluctant to try the newer models. Are the 1s really that much better performance-wise compared to the 2s and 3s?
I was about to but These today but when i tried them on there was an instant crease. Also, on both Pairs that i tried (vapor jade) the right shoe looks like it came with a pre crease and looks like it's going to get bigger. So you have any suggestions or knowledge about this?

Luka wants support, stability and traction. Makes sense for his slow, jerky and force based game below the rim.

The JB 2’s were 50 degrees as well Doc
Doc can u make a list of the most bouncy shoes for jumping?
Hoping for a review with a pair of Nike Lunar Roam!!
What’s a denser low stack height type of shoe I can use for walking and standing while at work?
How’s the cushion in the toe box? Minimal or plush?
