I just got done playing in them for the first time. I'm 6'4, 210. I felt a huge upgrade from the 1 and 2. The traction was surprisingly great. The fit felt good on me, and I am flat footed. In my opinion the shoes best feature was the lateral stability and cushion, but I can see these bottoming out after a good month of regular play if you play 2-4 times a week.
"it looks like a kids shoe" is how I feel about so many models these days. I think you're right it's the colorways, but also the cheap plastic feeling of a lot of materials just gives me "kid toy" vibes.

Wish jb just did lukas similar to jordan diamonds. Luka wore those a lot and they had zoom. Great performers. Shout out stanley tse and the weartesters team for gettinf me into those bad boys
Also the React Elevation ones were super comfy ... would have loved if they go on with these in a mid cut. The Luka 1s and 2s have been solid. Traction is great but the rest is mid.
Which is why their market share is dropping. Other brands are both cheaper and more interesting to look at, while maintaining quality (which was always the reason people kept coming back to nike)
I always love watching your videos even if they're about sneaker models I'm not particularly interested in, I always end up learning more about sneakers and sports. Been a Dragonball fan since I was a toddler. I've grown more fond of the original story and series over time too! Recently, I've been binge-watching Monster (2009). I should have watched this animé a long time ago. Definitely recommend this mystery/psychological story if you can stand a slower and more thorough pace.
My introduction into anime was Pokemon on Kids WB and Digimon on FOX Kids. I HIGHLY recommend watching One Piece if you've never seen it. I was skeptical too about watching it cause it's over 1000+ episodes, but after a few episodes, you'll understand how it's one of the greatest - if not THE greatest - anime of all time.

Vegeta hands down... and YES!!! to Ronin Warriors! I feel like that one was kind of obscure, and not that many people knew about it? At least none of my friends did... I always instantly get excited if anyone ever brings it up 😅

Idk why but I always wanted Trunks’ jacket when I was a kid. Cowboy Bebop and Yu Yu Hakusho are the goats for me. Cowboy Bebop is a great entry point because it’s relatively short and so stylish that it holds up really well. Spike is my favorite character of all time.

Cool traction setup, otherwise it's a boring model and I find it hard to justify the price tag. They look like Jordan Brand took inspiration from the MB.03 and fell far short. Thanks for the review. Sailor Moon was my gateway into anime, then Toonami happened on Cartoon Network and I was hooked. I still remember it was the talk of school when Goku finally turned super sayian.
the best Anime people should check: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood(arguably the best ever created), Erased(murder mystery), The promised Neverland (horror) , JoJos bizarre adventure (action,fantasy), One punch Man(hilarious but great themes), Mob Psycho 100( great show for kids IMO, great themes about growing up) , Dr. Stone (best for kids, scientific, very educational, great themes, Great show for kids to get interested in science)
I grew up with Dragonball too but what probably got me hooked was the Gundam shows like Wing ang G. If you haven't yet check out Dungeon Meshi & Dead Mount Death Play as well as Kaiju No. 8 they're so good.
I have these in black. They’re a little heavy and I’m saying that as someone who likes to have a lot of court feel, but overall they’re pretty comfortable. My only real complaint is that it could use another set of eyelets at the top. My ankles just don’t feel as secure as I’d like.

Pokemon was my introduction to anime when I was a kid. Now some of my favorite anime are: Spy x Family, Kaguya-Sama Love is War, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Bocchi the Rock, Konosuba, My Dress-Up Darling just to name a few. I highly recommend all those, especially Frieren and Spy x Family, some good lessons to be learned from those as well and Frieren just puts a lot of things into perspective (that’s all I’m gonna say to not spoil anything 😂).
I like the design of these. The predominantly white colorway looks much better in my opinion. These loud color combinations have been popular as release colorways for years now. I hate it. Otherwise, these are a pickup for me.

Tried a new brand called straye. Vans looking shoe but they are comfortable as hell. Their acid drop insole is confortable and shoe is decent. As u really get into shoe tech you should look to see if they are worth mentioning in a future video. Worth a investigation at least

I like the Luka line with Jordan. However I bought the Luka 2 Galaxy colorway and ended up returning them. A little too technical and big for an everyday casual sneaker. Def built for performance.

The aesthetics of all three iterations put me off. Maybe the Luka 4 will be the one. Hard to argue Future Trunks, but I give it to Gohan. The ability to be a present and protective father and hop right back in to achieving levels equal to Goku, is impressive.
I have a holy trinity of anime: Slam Dunk (the best basketball manga/anime of all time imo), Dragon Ball (since Kid Goku to the end of Z, Super is good but not great to me) and Saint Seiya, in that order (well, the first two are tied at the top). My favorite characters, in Dragon Ball is Piccolo Jr., in Slam Dunk is Hisashi Mitsui and in Saint Seiya is Ikki of Phoenix.
I was never a big fan of the "Luka" line (0-3), but my favorite DB characters is Goku/Vegeta, but more specifically their SS4 transformation from the GT series.

If you account for the inflation of a shoe 7 years ago. KD’s started as budget model. 7 years ago this shoe would have been $100. So I see this through the same lens

I don't know why they're green. The ones available on the Nike website right now are white and they look much much better. The Luka 1's are the best looking so far and were more comfortable than the 2's. The Luka 2's are bulky, but there is one or 2 colorways I liked. Looks like there are 4 colorways of the 3's coming.

$130 for no air, a decent foam and cheap materials is crazy. There are so many options at that price and cheaper that sure just better.

Samurai X was my introduction to anime. It was messy but it taught a lesson in love that I will never forget.

The android saga is the best saga in all DBZ. Trunks is my fav but piccolo is a close second. When piccolo fought android 17 to a stalemate 🔥.

I don't know why they're green. The ones available on the Nike website right now are white and they look much much better. The Luka 1's are the best looking so far and were more comfortable than the 2's. The Luka 2's are bulky, but there is one or 2 colorways I liked. Looks like there are 4 colorways of the 3's coming.
The material looks like Adidas Forged Mesh. (which, for whatever reason, Adidas does not use anymore)
