That is SO tiny! I bet there's a big audience for a manual focus lens that is this small, cute and fun to use. I personally love manual focusing lenses when I want to slow down and "be in the moment." I know it's a story I'm telling myself... but it's fun. Thanks for the video!
Very good review Michael, this is a great option for the X system (especially for the price) and it definitely renders the “film look”. Having said that, I don’t really want to go back to manual focus lenses, I did that for more years that I care to remember, I have the XF23 f/2 “glued” to my X-T1 and it really works for me. Be well and stay safe.
Hi Enrique! Thanks for the kind words. It is a great value, has lots of personality, and could be a great lens for the right person. I’ve gotten to spoiled by autofocus, as well. Stay safe out there!
@@MSladekPhoto I get that lol. Sadly most newer autofocus lenses are so technically good they totally lack character and flaws that can really personalize a photo. Happy accidents seldom happen with good lenses anymore. It’s a strange trade off.
Hi! I have several samples throughout the video, as well as about 30 photos at the end (16:39). Did you have something specific you were looking for? Thanks!
LOVE this thumbnail! Looks so clean!
Thanks, Mark! Feels like I’m getting closer to a “look” for my lens thumbnails. Best wishes!

Hey Jerred! It is so tiny… but well made and solid. I agree about the “slowing down” being a story some times. Lol. Hope all is well!

Loved the photos at the end- I agree, I have come to love lenses with “personality.” They encourage creativity and are fun to experiment with!
Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! Here’s to embracing personality and originality in our photos. Cheers!
Great character lens! lol- as long as you keep your fingerprints off it lol. Great review Micheal…looks like a fun lens.
Thanks, Dan! It’s pretty fun and I like the look of the photos quite a bit. Thinking manual focus is not for me anymore…

@DanFarrar I’m beginning to feel the same way.
Good review.. can you review 7 artisan 35mm f1.4 apsc? I heard it's really good for its price..
Hi! Thank for your comment. I do not have the 7 Artisan 35mm f1.4, so can’t do a review. Thanks again!
Bought it 2 days ago....for 55 EUR, what is not to like? This little gem punches way above its weight & price tag.
Yay! So glad you’re enjoying this lens. Cheers!
