This program was made to distribute to travel agents worldwide so that they could encourage clients to travel to Brisbane during the Expo. Provides an overview on Australia in general and then a more in depth look into Brisbane. Provides footage of the landscape, restaurants, people, and wildlife. Overview on getting to Brisbane and getting around during Expo including the monorail. Shows a snap shot of the Expo site being built which is now where Southbank is located. I was 16 at the time living in Brisbane, had the 6 month seasonal pass to Expo 88
What a fantastic time to be living, all my friends had the seasonal passes too so every Friday and Saturday nights we would be at Expo, usually in the theme park on the other side of the train line.
If not there was always a concert playing at Expo 88 we would be at. My best memory was the Icehouse concert, it was on a Friday night the same day we were returning from the annual year 11 high school week long camp. I googled it, it was on 29 July 1988 - great times, not like the over regulated toilet this country has become now. I'm moving to the U.S. to live in a few months and I cannot wait to see that back of this country.

I really like how the 80s cameras made things look it’s just really appealing to me especially how it contrasts with the blues of the sky and the water wow it really looks awesome

1980's Australia looks to be a dream realm to be alive in...I was only 10 back in 1988 (now 43...) and I was in melbourne back then and we tried to celebrate Expo 88 to the best we can including Bicentennial Day as well. How I wish I was my current age back in that time but I guess I have to make do with the hell that is 2022+ Thanks for this upload as it's an Australia which I don't think I'll ever see again now.
