Why do people always preface their mentioning of their own offspring with 'beautiful' when firstly most of the time they are not and secondly they can't make a living from their looks so no one cares even if they are? Every parent is biased.

We'd trade it for what we have now with in your face shouting glossy high pressure bombastic advertising concepts. The 80s was a different time. Definitely more errr human. Antron carpet commercial at 22 mins sounds like a young Robbie McGregor.

Crime rates are down from the 80s. The 80s were known as the deadliest decade. The highest recorded crime rates in Australia were between the 70s and 90s. It's ok to be scared of things that are new to you - just make sure that your fear is logical.
