  • Strange things were happening in North Queensland during the 1950s and 1960s, and they didn’t stop for decades. For people looking up at the sky, strange shapes and lights were appearing and the police, Air Force and Aviation authority were all looking for answers.
We look at some of the reports and drawings so you can decide for yourself.
You can view all the digitised records on our Flickr album: flic.kr/s/aHsmSGw7K9

I live around the Douglas Shire, near the Daintree River on the Coral Sea coast, between rainforest covered mountainous wilderness and the sea . I spend about 99% of my life outdoors. This region is still a hotspot of activity. You don't usually need to spend a lot of time looking for something anomalous flying around. Obviously they are more apparent at night if it's not cloudy

@@Ezzybear It is magnificent here... God's own country. The Aboriginals here have places they won't go near because of the dancing lights. That's not a new thing for them, it goes back to well before white settlement. They've got stories about the lights as well, but they aren't really telling me much more than that. It known that one story involves a young man climbing a mountain to go see what the light was that kept appearing at a rocky outcrop. He encountered 'spirits' that taught him the secret of making fire....
Make what you like out of that. I've seen enough lights in that same area to believe why they believe it's more than just a story.

@@Ezzybear it's shorter, and a better adventure to drive west to Roma, then turn north on the inland development roads... Springsure, Canarvon Gorge, ... Go all the way via Charters Towers through the Lynd country to Undara Lava Tubes. The locals say not to go into the Lynd country and camp... Yowies reported... among other things. I saw a large dark grey cat cross the highway one night, bigger than any feral cat that I ever shot, or saw, and it was a dark charcoal like grey... Who knows, but it looked and moved like a cat and it was easily the size of a large German Shepherd. It's the only time I've seen anything like that. On a different trip I saw a weird looking macropod of some kind that looked like a cross between a roo and a mouse that was down on all fours, about the size of a Corgi.

Family saw a similar object near Bald Rock Stanthorpe in the early 90s . About a week later found a round circle next to a dam . The grass looked blackend but not burned and had a pungent chemical smell. Happened overnight as we had passed the same spot on the previous day and the grass was lush green.

Many years ago, late at night I was listening to talk back radio in Newcastle. This bloke phoned and said that he was in the Australian Navy during WW2. They were out at sea (Pacific, maybe). He named the ship (can't recall the name). He was on lookout with others. They received a call from radar. Bloke manning the Radar was highly excited. He wanted to know what the object directly above was. Those on deck looked up in astonishment. To their amazement was this huge saucer. Next thing radar contacted them again and wanted to know what these other objects that appeared on the screen were. This bloke telling the story was calm and believable. He said that they could all see smaller saucers appear from under the parent saucer. They moved out beyond the parent ship and stopped. He said that they were ordered to fire on it because it nay have been an advanced German or Japanese weapon. Anyhow, the saucer received no damage. The smaller saucers then all moved back. The parent saucer then shot off at ridiculous speed. It went off the radar screen at collosal speed that left the technician in shock. This bloke went on to name the ship, mentioned the ship's log book, mentioned what page it was logged in and said that the ship's log is archived in Canberra. I think he may have said the Canberra war memorial museum or something. I can't recall but it's there where these ships log books go. This bloke would no doubt now be deceased. He said many witnessed the saucer and that they fired on it.

Great video mate! My parents and I watched a UFO in western NSW from our motor home one night in the late 70s. Dad turned down a track off the highway about a 1/4 mile to park for the night just after dark. Had dinner, explored the area, and just gotten into bed at about 8pm when my mum said "what's that" to dad, as they were in the bed above the truck cabin. I heard them talking for a bit, then dad told me not turn the lights on, but get dressed. He said to be quiet, grabbed his pistol, and told me to get the rifle... I was about 9yrs old i guess, so was a bit frightened and asked in a whisper "whats wrong?!". They both said "its ok, just being safe, there were some lights...". We sat in the dark, watching this light behind the trees, about a half or mile away, but getting closer. It went along at 1000ft high or so, stopped and hovered, dropped behind our line of sight, then popped up again a minute or so later... and did this many times as it went parallel to us. But, it stayed down out of sight for too long when it was just past us a little. We waited probably 7 to 10 minutes, and then we got out of the mobile home (slide on type) and got in the cab and drove off as fast as possible. All the time guns ready and spotlights on, but saw it come up, hover, then shoot straight up faster than anything I've seen, even today. We didnt stop until we parked in the main street of the next small town.
It was no aircraft. It flew without sound. It moved with reason and control. It moved at ridiculous speed.
I work in science, partly because of that night, and still no explanation for it.
There is DEFINITELY something we are unaware of.....

    • @QueenslandStateArchives
      @QueenslandStateArchives  10 месяцев назад +4

Something like that would have an incredible impact! I can certainly see the appeal of working closer with science after a night like that, even though it would probably leave you with more questions. Thanks so much for sharing your story!

@@QueenslandStateArchives my pleasure. In those days, my parents told their closest friends a little, to judge their reactions. We were well respected and even so, a few looked sideways at my parents. They then told their friends that my "uncle" who was ex American working at high security military bases around Australia at the time, said it was a helicopter in the area. (On holiday in Hawaii, he took our family out for dinner...which we did regularly anyway, but this was different. We dined with Mayor of Honolulu and a bunch of high ranking US Airforce...) He was one of the few that believed my parents, and me. Now I think he knew more maybe. I hadn't thought about this in a while. He is still alive, but my parents have passed... I will give him a call and ask. We are close, but never discussed that night. He might just share a few things now, with everything going on.
Thanks again for the great video. More if possible? I'm fully set up to travel Australia for a year or two after xmas. Real wilderness and adventure. Hoping to catch some awesome night skies away from the cities, and looking at photographic equipment to record nights for anomalies...

The late 40s of the twentieth century, a secret project has been developing in the United States for the development and production of aircraft, where the lifting force is created using high-frequency vibration. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎It all started with James Pitts' "Sky Car" vibrating orthotopter umbrella, then the umbrella was closed with a dome and devices appeared according to the scheme of conventional electromagnetic vibrating speakers (membrane + inductance) - fragments of the membrane were found by a farmer in Roswell. Then they created piezoelectric thrusters, or with small dischargers on the surface (they glowed all over the body due to ionization of the air), and now they are planes with plasma propulsion panels (so they are angular - that is, with flat surfaces). Thousands of discharge cells are densely packed into motor panels - they shoot streams of plasma (railgun architecture - coaxial electrodes). The ionized air of the spark discharge is accelerated in the railgun chamber by the Lorentz force to enormous speeds - a kind of ramjet engine is obtained. Just imagine! - tens of thousands of small ramjet engines assembled in panels and launching plasma synchronously at a huge frequency (hundreds of kilohertz). Plasma jets form toroidal air vortices - this air cushion creates lift and acceleration. See, for example, the MARAUDER (Magnetically Accelerated Ring to Achieve Ultra-high Directed Energy and Radiation) project. My article "UFOs are made in the USA" and the books "UFO Hunt" and "UFO Elimination" describe all this in detail. The technology is quite mundane - it is known in great detail thanks to information leaks. For example, air ionization in the coaxial elements of a railgun is created using radiation (radioactive polonium is introduced into the metal). Devices of this type were used throughout the 50s-60s-70s-80s for secret missions (they took off, as a rule, from special submarines). With the fall of the USSR, their use by the United States was practically curtailed (in the novel "Little Green Men" by Christopher Buckley, speechwriter Bush Sr., a scene is described where the US president decides to curtail the "flying saucer" project). 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢The winding down of the project can be recorded by the drop in magnesium consumption in the United States, since such fuel was used in fuel cells (magnesium strips were burned in forced galvanic batteries), this is 2007-2008. However, later the development of the technology continued in the Russian Federation and China (the technology was restored by reverse engineering methods for downed devices). Secrecy, however, was maintained and there was no civilian use because the technology was not suitable for it - harmful microwave radiation from pulsed plasma thrusters (harm to pilots and impact on electrical appliances inside and along the flight line). The payload is small (but one nuclear charge is enough). There is no radio communication - unmanned vehicles can fly and maneuver only in accordance with the program. Previously, there was a narrow application profile - rare spy missions (so that pilots do not get a lot of radiation). Reconnaissance aircraft of this type were often observed at military bases, missile launch sites and airfields. They were even seen by peaceful geologists in the taiga, where clearings for seismic exploration were laid - UFOs flew there to check whether military construction was underway (I myself heard stories about this))). I think that soon this technology will be declassified, and cargo airships with flickering round plasma panels on the surface of the hull will appear in the Arctic sky.🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

@@Pavel_Poluian unfortunately, for all your big catch phrases and words...aka plasma and toroidal vortex. Nothing you said has any evidence to support it. Also, anything accelerating at these speed would splatter the pilots. Noise would be produced. Plasma takes electrical energy, lots of it for your claims. Where and how is that produced?
Its not. You are talking rubbish.
The fact is, we don't know what they are or how they work. Anything else is speculation atm.

Looking at the old type-written records, I was struck how neat and legible the antique report seemed while the host was glancing through the file...with the strong contrast (yet tight integration) between the black ink of the official report and the red ink of witnesses.
Many practices during the low-tech olden days might have been time-consuming, inefficient and inconvenient as hell. But I really wonder if we haven't lost some clarity, some coherence in our communications among each other, relying so casually on our wonderful machines to make everything so easy, clean and pretty.
I'm not much of a stickler for formality, and I'm not nostalgic for days past. But occasionally you see something simple, without a lot of bells and whistles, something that just plain works, and you have to respect that.

    Yeah here's a theory..
It doesn't matter what angle you take this Phenomenon, from the crop circles to the local Sightings, from the MIB to the abductions reports, the mass Sightings to the crash retrieval programme, you will begin to connect the dots yourself if you pay attention. And you will come to a disturbing prognosis, that we are not alone and there has been a massive effort from inside and behind and under what we thought was our governments to cover it up.
The grays are real, the shadows in the military running things behind washington know it and know that it's the axis of all power. Its the big one. Free energy... save the world with technology billions of years ahead of ours. But it would mean the ones that hold power would lose such power.
We'll never wake up and the end game is already on us. Its nearly over for us all.
