I replaced all my exterior lights with LEDs. I used SV4s in the headlights, and GTR minis in the fog lights, switchbacks in the fenders. It’s like a different vehicle. I had to cross Alabama the other evening in an area notorious for deer in the road. Before I could see them when I was danger close to them, but now I could spot them much further out and off to the sides. It makes it much safer. From front to back all the lights ran me around $300, and it’s well worth the money!

I am back to this video because my son and I are building an 87' GT Mustang convertible. It's a great car, but the lights are like holding a candle out of the window to see. He wants to put tinted light in the front and back to blackout the look of the car. I wouldn't be keen on the idea, except I had such a dramatic change in the light on my JL. So I'm thinking of upgrading all the lights to LEDs all around to offset the tinted light lenses. I am still very impressed with the lights on my JL, and I had upgraded the headlights on my wife's Pilot and about to upgrade my daughter's Tuscon. Thanks guys! Keep it up!
How come you guys don't do any test on sedans? Like a Camry? I would love to know what works or not beforehand and not go through trial-and-error and getting stuck with return shipping or re-stocking fee in general
Surprises me how much results vary with these bulbs depending on the housings. I started with the Morimoto 2stroke 2.0's, they were okay. Was blown away by the SV4's in your testing, so have been running those for a year with great success. Just got the new GTR Ultra 2's and they are INSANELY bright. I have a lux meter and they were significantly brighter than the SV4's in a projector housing in my Explorer Sport. Was surprised to see the SV4's be that much brighter in this test than the Ultra 2's, as my testing was completely opposite with projector housings.
Hey Justin, We have been discovering the same thing here in our own testing. On certain headlight housings, The SV.4 wins. The GTR Lighting Ultra Series 2 bulb has been dominating these tests lately though, Especially in projector based headlights like yours. Thank you for watching! -Chris W
Would love to see you guys test LEDs on older cars, maybe german cars like Audi, Mercedes and BMW (bmw e46, e39 )since older cars should be the target market for better lightning. You shouldn't need to change bulbs on new cars.
I noticed you didn’t show how to remove the bulb from the driver side without taking the grill off. That side looks near impossible. One very important thing I wish you would have talked about was what position to install the LED bulbs in the headlight.
It actually isn't too bad, It colder climates it even helps to keep snow and ice off the lens. We haven't had any heat related issues just yet! -Chris W

So you showed a shortcut for the passenger side headlight bulb replacement. What about the driver's side? You have to remove the grill for the driver's side anyway, or is there a short cut way?
You can access the driver's side the same way, but it is a smaller opening. Depending on the installer, you may need to remove the fenders for that install, should totally be able to get them installed though!👍
Great video but the “shortcut” only works on the passenger side. The drivers side is very hard to access with the smallest hands. It was easier to pull the front off
