A lot of Shannon’s audience may not understand or agree but this is by far one of the biggest legends (in respect to one’s profession) Shannon has interviewed to date. You are literally looking at someone who will be talked about in his sport 150 years from now

@@rockfresh1993 You need to have good form and listen to your body. I have been squatting extremely heavy for over 12 years and have never had a problem or real injury. More guys have injuries with deadlifts, and that's a lift i'm scared of more based on what I have seen. I haven't had friends get hurt from squatting, but a few have hurt themselves deadlifting. I do both and have never been injured. I have had an irritated back and minor discomfort after working up, but nothing that ever stopped me from doing it again next workout. Once you build that connective tissue and keep your form good the chances of injury become very low. Squatting and deadlifting are very very positive essential lifts if you listen to your body and know what you're doing. I think those are the best two lifts you can do. They're very good for your body and health. Ronnie was EXTREMELY stubborn. He did everything wrong when it came to his injuries. There are powerlifters who squat and deadlift way more than him that have no injures at all. Don't let one person scare you. I love Ronnie, but most of his injuries are his fault. If you don't have any injuries I would not avoid squatting or deadlifting at all. There is a reason those are considered the best lifts.
I agree every time I watch Ronnie if he's by himself or working with somebody else. I get quite emotional over what he does I've never seen him dog anybody or get down on them, he just says ( YA BUDDY LIGHT WEIGHT 😊😊😊😊😊) HE ALWAYS SAYS BY HIS ACTIONS FOLLOW ME I'VE ALREADY LAID THE PATH DOWN HE DOESN'T SPEAK IT YOU CAN JUST TELL BY HIS ACTIONS) ABSOLUTE BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH.
ladies - do you see how those 2 interact w each other in the gym? THATS therapy to men being around our bros, zero drama, laughing, joking and getting stronger (if your around an older dude he spitting life advice etc). yall are trying to take that away from us w the bs antics yall do. This is why men are upset
Most people especially people who don't work out have no clue just how insane this man was. Yes did Ronnie do steroids, of course, but all of his competitors did the exact same ones and Ronnie was still a specimen and a giant amongst them. Even his competitors doing the same routine as him were blown away by him and his strength and his approach to training. This man is 60 years old but his body has been put through the life of someone who would be a 120 years old. It is amazing to me that he is able to move around with a smile on his face and still show up to a gym everyday, the man has got to be in pain every time he moves an inch. To be remembered long after you're gone from this earth you usually have to sacrifice something heavily while you're here, and I would say Ronnie has definitely sacrificed a lot. The man is a true legend.
Ronnie is part of the reason I’m inspired to go in the gym and push myself no matter what. This man took his body past its limit and is still in here giving his all💪🏾💪🏾
Man that’s gotta be an honor and a privilege to work out with the best to ever do it. Definitely will always be a memorable moment in your life Shay. Wishing Mr Coleman the best and Shay hang in there. Cause you messing with a 9 time champion
From all the interviews from when Ronnie was in his prime and top of the world to now. You can tell that he is a genuine guy and very down to earth. Very humble and I really respect that
This was so satisfying to watch… makes you want to get into the gym. It was also neat to see how Ronnie reduces the movement to isolate the muscles he is working on.
It wouldn't have been disrespectful to lift his usual weight either. Ronnie doesn't expect to be the strongest in the room anymore and working out with someone who's stronger or weaker doesn't mean you have to try and match their weight.
Love that Ronnie is getting his flowers the past few years on RUclips and on peoples pods… for younger people or people that didn’t know who he was in his prime (guarantee u seen a pic of him u just didn’t know it was him) it’s indescribable how big and muscular he was during his 8-10 year run… His workout tape in that same gym from prob 2000ish is stuff of legend… the DB press, the leg press, the 800+ squats that he made look easy, up right rows for reps and under control… Doesn’t matter what steroids he took… they all took and still take roids… he was a genetic freak that also put the work in… never gonna see anything like prime Ronnie again
This was one of my favorite Shay Shay shows of all-time. I got to really know Mr. Ronnie and his indominable spirit and got some workout tips too. thanks.
After watching this I got so inspired watching Ronnie that I went to the gym and did this chest workout. Those half reps are no joke, you definitely get a nice pump. Flat, incline & decline is all I'm gonna do from now on.
