Let’s go! I am absolutely open to anything and will take all the help I can get.. I did actually upload the wrong version of that track but once I submitted it was too late because I was afraid to change the link… in the final version of the mix the vocals have a lot less tuning on them.. I had done a bounce where I accidentally left 2 pitch correction VST’s engaged on the vocal because I had been A/B ing the two during a vocal mixing session. I should’ve just immediately deleted that file, but nah.. I sent it into a fucking Contest instead😂 Seriously though, I would 100% be down for anything. I do every part of it solo in my little home studio and it’s easy to get lost in the sauce over a month working on a track.. collaboration of any kind would be welcome for sure

I listened to some more Sinner's Rise. All the choruses seem to suffer from the Vampire song problem where the chorus doesn't contrast enough from the verse. But the sound is awesome! I'm following em and seeing where it goes in the future.

Matt Grover's Ghost of the Mud was pretty neat. Solid contender. The one issue was that the intro was a little too long, could cut the repetition a little short and some transitions were a littly muddy (pun intended), but the rest was awesome.
@@matthewdiehm6893 Oh, nothing against long intros. That intro just didn't have enough material to go on for that long, and the ending bit felt a little too repetitive for me. It felt like an extended intro stumbling its way onto the rest of the song rather than a long intro, if that makes sense. :)
Honestly, bedroom recordings have gotten way better. Modern production is so good now, that by comparison bedroom recordings obviously lack, but hearing mixes from ten years ago from bedroom musicians, it's absolutely insane now.
@@ryan_nstuff That's a cool idea, I might try it. I've sampled an earthquake to use as a sub drop, and some weird underwater noises before, but never insects. There's an EDM album that's made out of insect noises though.

Ghosts of the Mud is riff salad for the first 3/4 of the song. I like it, though. Vampire has a nice triplet feel. Either you are picking songs that have a topline, or people have finally started listening to Uncle Trey and putting toplines on their songs. Or maybe there's a mandatory topline requirement in the rules, which I dutifully haven't read.
Question: When listening to national acts, pro (signed) acts...do you often find yourself questioning the song structure? Why did they do this,,,why is this so long..I would do this? Just curious. Big fan of this Tube.

Ghosts of the mud deathcore: long strings of 8th and 16th notes with no rhythmic purpose other than to sound fast and fill up space, the same metal riffs forever…. But it’s a good example of deathcore or whatever. Not to be mean but why do we listen to that again? Sad piano pop song: I can hear an idea in there, but it needs to mature, it needs more experience, musically and poetically, but it will arrive soon. RUK: love the sound design but the music to me is generic. Mastodon in space: pretty neat I liked it. I get a feeling of nostalgia from most of these. Like old rock styles. Did our idols try to sound old or new?? Alice tribute band: my personal favorite hella sick. Still nostalgic though.
