Its actually one of the worst ways of giving birth, the only reason this is a thing is because its better for the doctors, not for the patients so your experience fits with what we know. Being on your hands and knees or squatting is a better birthing position overall. Moving around is also a good thing. It strange how these practices stick
Absolutely! I gave birth a little over two months ago and I loved standing through my contractions. Every time the drs had me lay down to check me it hurt SO bad and was so much more intense. I gave birth on my knees even.
I can’t believe doctors at hospitals all around the world still recommend laying down..gravity helps so much with bringing your baby down. And moving your body, doing curb steps, moving your pelvis….
Yes I agree, all three of my pregnancies I walked and exercise while I was in labour to push the baby head down more so I don’t have to delay my labour.
@@siripornthirakounh I am pregnant with my first but I already know I won’t be able to sit still. With my period cramps, I have to move my pelvis. Laying still is the worst thing. Doing circular motions with my pelvis helps with my cramps so much.

I think people misunderstand the use of the epidural...sometimes it's not just for pain. Sometimes it's to get your body to relax enough to have the baby! That's why many times after an epidural you'll hear people say, oh then things started moving really fast! It's because, yes you don't feel as much pain, so your body isn't as tense
There's something about seeing a loving supportive couple, especially when one person is stepping up to really hold it down when the other is super vulnerable, that really makes me happy and hopeful. You both did so amazing, and mama you're so strong! Congratulations on your newest addition to your beautiful family ❤
Laying flat is the last thing for active labor. It’s an active movement. You should be upright facilitating gravity. Standing. Rocking. Moving the baby downward. Beautiful family. So happy all went well❤❤❤

Yes, I stood and swayed back and forth while leaning on the bed. I couldn't stand sitting or lying down
